I've used Tingey for plumbing and HVAC work in two Park City homes over the last five years, and they have been fantastic. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. They are so much more professional than any other businesses I have worked with -- they give you a time frame, they show up on time, and then they follow up afterward. The people they have sent have been knowledgeable and courteous, and they are straight shooters, so I've never felt like there was any unnecessary work being done. And they always have great things to say about working for Tingey, so you know you're dealing with happy employees and a well-managed business.

Tingey (especially Jordan, Ken, and Jared) were all so helpful in getting our massive plumbing issue fixed. Before calling Tingey we had tried to work with half a dozen other companies who would either not call us back, or would come out and charge us for their opinions but not finish the work.
Jared was always so prompt, professional, and informative when I worked with him to get our plumbing fixed. Not only did he call me back when he said he would, he would also follow up quickly if any of the times changed for the team to come out (which they only did once by 30 minutes).
Jordan spent a whole day at our house fixing our septic issue and during these crazy times of COVID he made sure to wear a mask, gloves, and sanitize everything thoroughly. He went above and beyond by noticing issues with our water heater as well as helped to diagnose other issues he came upon that were not even connected to the original problem without charge.
I can't thank Tingey enough for helping us out in a time when we really needed it and being so prompt.
I'd absolutely recommend them for any job (large or small) and will absolutely call them again and ask for Jordan to help us out.

Warning! We had been using Tingey Plumbing for over 6 years. Something changed over the last year. The quality of their work went way down and their pricing went way up. It's a long story but we had to hire a different plumber to fix their shoddy work. A lot of it. Had to also negotiate their ridiculous invoices for the shoddy work. Will never ever want them near our home again. Mr. Tingey is a very knowledgeable and nice man, his young workers are completely incompetent. Find someone else!

""After more than a 4 years of doing business with this Company, (in which, by the way, we had never compared prices. My bad.) I had them come to my home to investigate a strange sound coming from my central air conditioner unit. They arrived soon after and determined the problem to be a"" Motor Run Capacitor"". The service man quoted me a cost and it being 98 degrees outside, as well as trusting our past relationship, I approved the installation.

The charge for the part was $221.00. The service call was an additional $149.00. Later, I decided to checked the Internet for the part and found it to be between $6.51 and $9.61, depending on supplier. The installation took all of 10 or 15 minutes. They(TINGEY) also recommended an additional part for which they charged $323.00. (I didn't get the packaging on this part, so no comparison possible. I can only imagine.)

Before I called the Company to determine if an error had been made, I made a call to a competitor and was quoted between $125.00 and $180.00, which would include the service call.

I made the call to Tingey to inquire if an error had been made, and was treated to a lecture about overhead, transportation, professionalism (and why did I approve the installation in the first place, (I guess I should know what a capacitor costs). I offered to pay twice the amount quoted by the competition and was told it was unacceptable.

I concluded this Company would rather save a few dollars now, and lose the long-term customer relationship with me, as well as a longer customer relationship with the family who had recommended them to me in the first place. I said the same to the office manager. She said that was OK and that is what happened.""

After several frustrating attempts at dealing with this company , I finally called it quits today.
A few months ago, I had called them to address an issue with my A/C unit. I was given a date & time for my appointment. It was subsequently changed and rescheduled multiple times. Citing reason of the company owner having surgery- blah,balh ( he wasn't even the one doing the repair)
Now todays final straw came, after losing heat yesterday afternoon, and calling for service, I was convinced by a lethargic service man, that it'd be cheaper to wait until Mon. AM, as it was $unday . Expecting to be the first call of the morning, I was informed my appointment was superseded by a water tank install.....??? I thought I was an emergency ? I'd been w/o heat for over 24 hrs in January?! And I even subscribed to their ""preferred customer"" contract....
This is a very small mom & pop operation, that seems difficult to keep good technicians, and hires a lot of inexperienced newbies. I have dealt with men disclosing to me "" its my first day on the job""
Will NEVER use them again, and DO NOT recommend them.

We recently bought our first home and it was built in 1901. Tingey Plumbing has been AMAZING with replacing old pipes and getting our home updated and up to code. Their customer service makes me so happy. Everyone from Candy, their secretary/scheduler to Ken was such a joy to work with! They are honest, skilled and quick. I will be working with their company for all future needs from now on.

I have found Tingey plumbing to be very reliable. The office calls me when they are on their way. I'm not sitting around waiting all day. Great customer service and very honest.

Our experience included an excellent scheduling person in the office followed by a polite and thoughtful repair person who was not familiar with our heating system. It took several trips back and forth to the warehouse to get all of the parts he needed. The system had been installed by Tingey 15 months previously but nothing was covered. On our invoice, it says ""if nothing goes wrong the system should be fixed."" Then it says ""If it does act up, the outdoor unit will have a leak and will need to be repaired, under warranty."" The warranty piece is hard to take given that they warranty labor for only 90 days.

Very kind! I didn't end up using this company because I had already purchased a Yelp deal with another... But Candy went above and beyond to fit me into their schedule today. They quoted me a very fair price for a house call. If I have future needs, I wouldn't hesitate to contact Tingey!

I'm appalled by this company. I needed work done and they bumped me back a day and a half from my original appointment. I waited so long that I no long had the choice to find someone else. After 4 hours of work they charged me $1000!! I couldn't believe it. I was sick to my stomach. A complete rip off. There were two guys who did the job and the older one was so rude to the younger one. I felt so bad for him. My one and only time ever using this company. The biggest rip off ever!!! Stay away! I had two other plumbers come out to look at what it should have cost and they said these guys over charged me by $450 at least!
