I’m Tim, and I began my journey in roofing as a child, helping my family. I then progressed to home building for friends, where I refined my skills in the industry. I became proficient in this field and took on side jobs after my shifts as a pizza maker. At 17, I believed I was prepared to start a career in this field, but my path led me to become a cook. At 24, I feel ready to make a name for myself and I’m blessed with numerous leads and projects. With that in mind, I am dedicated to offering clients excellent work at a fair price. I strive to develop and make my clients very happy.

Recommended Customer Reviews
Timothy came in and fixed several old walls on our house that where all cracked from the previous renter ..the quality was amazing outstanding.. Plus he gave me a decent price ..
Based on the favorable reviews, I hired Tim to do some ceiling patching work for a rental townhouse. I found that the positive reviews were quite accurate. Tim demonstrated a lot of experience with this kind of work, but more importantly, he brought his upbeat, can-do attitude, willingness to go the extra mile, and persistence to stick to the task until it was done. These were all characteristics I appreciated very much. The work I asked him to do turned out to be much more troublesome than I first thought, but much to Tim's credit, he stayed on top of it. He also kept me updated and requested approval throughout the entire process. I applaud Tim for helping me and my tenant through a difficult weekend. Thank you Tim!
Cheryl L.Had Tim put up a curtain rod, patch 5 little holes in the wall, and make a 13-foot shelf for my closet. He answered my calls/texts in a timely manner. More than reasonable rates. He was late for my appointment but made up for it with the quality of work. Nice guy and would hire him again.
Koren B.Tim did a great job re-shingling my garage. The price was very reasonable--I got 5 quotes and Tim was near the lowest. He got the job done fast and the work looks excellent.
Tim was extremely responsive, always calling or texting back quickly. And he's a friendly guy. Highly recommended.
Jermy B.If I had more stars to give I'll would defiantly do that... Amazing costumer service great personal relations and of course very professional handy men!!! Enjoyed your service and of course thank you for the extra job you did for us ... Me and my wife are very thankful.
G-d bless .
Chelsea H.We've made a terrible, terrible mistake. Please beware before trusting this man. If you're like us and saw the back to back, solid red, 5-star reviews and decided Tim would be a good bet, we urge you to reconsider.
I hesitate to call Tim a scammer just yet, it is possible he's just an incredibly unprofessional and irresponsible child trying to run a business. Unfortunately the truth is the truth, and with as little emotion as possible (we're livid, but I'll save the ranting for Facebook and the BBB), here are the facts of the case:
We were comparing handymen in the area to fix the damaged wood from a leak under our kitchen sink. Based on photos of the sink and damage, Tim quoted us $350 for the job. There was a possibility of water damage in the insulation, which brought the total to a tentative $600, but Tim said ""Listen, what's your budget? I want to work with you"" and said he'd do it for $500, $100 less than competing estimates.
We scheduled a day and time, and a few minutes after the appointment,Tim called to say he was late, and was sending someone else. His partner Guy (who is amazing actually, but now we're hesitant to work with anyone associated with Tim) fixed everything, and determined in the beginning that there was actually no damage to the back wall, requiring no dry wall or insulation replacement. Excellent! Back to the original $350.
Tim showed up towards the end when Guy was finishing the job. As the glue/sealant needed time to dry, Tim said he'd come back Tuesday night to finish the staining and painting.
""I work 24 hours!"" Tim exclaimed. ""I'll work around your schedule! Whatever's best for you guys.""
When it then came time to pay, Tim asked for $425 for the job. Wait what? $425? When you only did the work discussed at the original $350 price after all? ""Yes,"" Tim said, ""you know, we had to remove the pipes to get the wood fitted right, so that was extra labor."" But, didn't you see those very pipes in the 3-4 photos I sent you for the work estimate? Um...
Here's a fact: My husband and I are loving, trusting idiots. After a couple awkward glances, Tim finally said, ok write the check for $400. Still $50 over the original quoted price, but for the following reasons, we decided to not push back (even though the job was not yet completed):
#1: Tim heard we were Christians and talked up how he goes to church too! He explained that he quit his job to run this business full time, because that's where God was leading him! He even explained his email address to me. ""Do you know what 'Tru Blu' means??"" he asked. ""It means honesty and loyalty!"" he exclaimed.
#2: We figured we could spare an extra $50 for his work to help out his new, thriving business. Because we're loving, trusting idiots.
We wrote him a check for the full price of the job that was not yet finished. Go us. Trusting that he would show up Tuesday night as scheduled to finish the job.
Just after leaving, you'll never believe it. Pipe leaks. Everywhere. My husband could not tighten them enough to stop it, so unfortunately we had to call Tim and let him know they had broken our pipes while fixing the wood damage under the sink. Tim said that was fine, he would replace the pipes Tuesday night too. I'll give you three chances to guess what didn't happen Tuesday night...
Tim never showed up or answered his phone Tuesday. We went home to wait for him, abandoning our evening plans, only to have our texts and phone calls ignored. Tim called the next morning with the most absurd lie about getting pitch in his eye from a roof job, that prevented him from using his phone. I know, we laughed too. He said how about Wednesday night at the same time, 7:30. I talked to my husband and he said he could be home by 8pm. I texted Tim, and he responded simply with an incredibly rude: ""That's late""
That's LATE? 30 minutes later is too late? After you were a no-show? After you exclaimed over and over that you work 24 hours and will accommodate our schedule? After we already paid you for a job in its entirety that you didn't even finish yet? After you busted our pipes ""fixing"" the damage under the sink? After you went back on your original estimate and tried to get even more money out of us? For a job you didn't even do yourself or complete?
Tim then says on the phone, ""Well, really how bad IS the leak? I mean..."", trying to get out of coming back at all. When I gently reminded him he still had not completed the first job we paid him for, he said, ""Oh yeeaaahhh!"" As if just waking up from the nap of life. After some back and forth texting, we agreed finally on 7:30 tonight.
GUESS WHAT. Here we sit at 9:49pm being sent to voicemail each time we try to call. Tim - we will be praying for you this Sunday that you're able to straighten up and get your life in order. After that, we will follow up with details from the BBB and potentially small claims court. Be blessed!
S Alicia S.Tim the Handyman (from Tru Blue Construction) does a lot of fixing around town. I just called him to finish screwing together a futon that I couldn't handle doing myself. Also, he put an exercise bike together for me. He did great work. I'm appreciative... And so, I wrote this review.
If you have something to fix, and can't do-it-urself, call Tim the Handyman. He'll be there to fix it. Nice guy. Personable and hardworking too.
Tim is an absolute professional to the 10th power. He repaired a wooden bed frame that was just pitiful. Though he had two jobs before me, he was able to receive texts and photos of the issue. He was able to squeeze me in and was done in half an hour!!!! Delightful demeanor, and an overall jack of all trades around the house. LADIES: why not let Tim handle the ""honey do"" lists so your honey can spend more time paying attention to you!!!!
Tim is great! I had a garbage disposal that needed to be replaced for a rental unit and he was quick to respond the same day and have it fixed and replaced. Not only was I happy but so was the tenant. He was straight forward, honest, reasonably priced and reliable. What more can you ask for? I look forward to working with Tim again in the future!
As manager of four rental properties, I struggled for years with finding a reliable, affordable fixer-of-all-things. Now I have Tim and couldn't be happier!! He build a beautiful fence for one of my tenants and relandscaped her front and back yards. Looks great and helped us qualify for the turf rebate program. Thanks Tim!!
