I've always been very satisfied with Pine State and have used them for years. Today, Chris was here and, as usual, was incredibly efficient and pleasant regarding my heating needs.

In 2018 they installed an on demand hot water heater that cost $10K. Replacing the working water heater the house had had since the 40's. The model they sold us had a bunch of known problems, to the degree they stopped selling it.

Over the last two weeks it started leaking, I had them come to take a look today and it cost $800 to fix, after only 4 years having it. As well, because they didn't do their due diligence, they didn't realize that the city of Portland has high water pressure, so they are now recommending I get another thing put in for an additional $600-700 to mitigate that issue.

I will be certain to NEVER trust these people again. They will smile and take your money, but they absolutely won't take care of you.

We were thrilled with our Pine State Services experience start to finish. We've used them several times, this time for installing a HVAC ductless heat pump system. Dana Seabury was the best salesperson we've ever had in our home. We felt no pressure, she was personable, approachable, listened to our concerns, and was extremely flexible and helpful in guiding us toward the design we wanted. The installation was flawless, and we are thrilled with our new heat pump units.

I'm genuinely confused at all these positive reviews. We paid them to clean our furnace and came home to a house covered in soot. They didn't cover a single vent in any of the rooms before they blasted everything up. It's been a month. I've called two times and been told ""the person who handles customer service isn't in today"". I also emailed and have gotten zero response. And this isn't a little bit of mess in a couple places - it's 8 vents and each of them spat out a black mess. I've been cleaning walls, doors and windows for a month and there's still little grey black streaks everywhere. They don't even care enough to find 10 minutes to call me back.

Update: I get they're short staffed but it's been months and no reply. So gross.

We made an appointment with Pine State for an estimate to replace our home boiler. They couldn't come by for 2 months said they were very busy. We said ok since our replacement was not an emergency, On day of appointment they never showed...we waited 4 hours (10-2)...at least a phone call would have been nice...the company just blew us off...not good. There are plenty of options out there for this work...but for us Pine State is not one of them.

$1,048 is an outrageous bill for replacing a simple kitchen faucet and a sink drain. They falsely claimed $493 to replace and install a ""Customer supplied dishwasher"". I have never owned a dishwasher. I did not ask Pine State to replace and install a nonexistent ""Customer supplied dishwasher"".
