Samuel was our plumber and came out twice, once for an emergency issue that thankfully was not an emergency..and again to fix the actual problem. He was friendly professional knowledgeable and did outstanding work. Thank you Samuel!

I had a leak in the foundation pipes in the laundry slab. It was very stressful and I did not know who to call. I have used yelp reviews before, but I did not find them very reliable. To make a decision about what company to choose I relied on two colleagues who recommended Tietze plumbing. They were awesome!!! The company was very responsive and sent a plumber soon. The first guy had to open 4 holes on my walls to find the leak. It was not easy but once he identified the problem, the company sent 2 additional plumbers to cap and reconnect my pipes. They had to work 3 full days. They were courteous and explained the problem very well. I was giving estimates before the work was done and even options. Everything was fixed perfectly and I have no more leaks. Considering the amount of work they did, I felt the price was not terrible ($4000). I wish I had had the same luck with the guy who came to fix the drywall and paint afterwards!! I strongly recommend this company. Not sure why some people gave them bad reviews. The guy who fixed my pipes was Willie.

Update: We have had them out several times again since my initial review, and they have done a good job on everything for us. They have been quick to come out when needed, and have worked hard to give us what we wanted. Travis in particular, has been very good.

I broke a T fitting CPVC pipe in the attic. I could have fixed it myself but this would have required a day without water and $24 worth of parts. 1 T-fitting and 12 inches of CPVC plastic pipe and 3 joiners. The tech arrived and completed the work in 54 minutes. The tech did a great job on the repair. The bill was $1279.00 !! So let's figure this. $1279.00 minis $24 in parts equals $1255.00. So I think $1200 an hour is a bit excessive. The repair was straight forward and readily accessible on the floor of the attic. The invoice just stated "water repair-rejuvenation " $1279.00. That's just ridiculous. I understand they are running a business but come on now.

"Wolves in sheep's clothing"
Beware! I feel so sad and stupid for trusting that this company is reputable and has excellent reviews.
I was given an arrival window for consultation between 1pm and 4pm. The Technician did called a bit after 5pm to explain that he was held up and running about 2 hour behind. I truly appreciated the call since I felt that he was demonstrating accountability. Around 6:40 pm the tech arrived. Tech was very polite, patient, professional, and engaged well in explaining needed work.
He took about 10-15 minutes to expose the water pressure regulator and show that there was a leak and the cost to repair it would be around $1500. Unfortunately, this is were I feel taken by the wolf. I trusted the estimate due to presentation and charisma of the tech. I agreed to the service and price. I decided to do some research before the next day of job needed and to my surprise the quote given was almost 3x more than estimates online. I decided to get second opinion and indeed charges quoted where about twice higher.
I canceled the service and received a call from the company's office manager, Becky, that I owe $425 for the consultation: tech coming out, gas (company is maybe 5 miles from my home), and exposing the line. Of course, I was not happy with this price and explain that a hole was dug and water removed to show water pressure regulator leak. The tech took about 10 minutes top 15 minutes to show regulator and leak and I am responsible for $425 for a maybe 15 minute consultation . Office manager agreed to reduce it to $225 and provided an invoice indicating an hour work (not true), two techs coming for consultation (not true) and "PB1B Basic Pressure Control System Renovation:
Basic Pressure Control System Renovation
Single isolation system
Performance and safety testing, six month warranty" (I am not a plumber but I do not believe that none of the work that is listed was done) for God's sake 6 months warranty for exposing the broken/ leaking water pressure regulator?
Please take your time to ask questions. I am not sure if this happened to me since I am an ignorant female who should have asked more questions and done research before agreeing to pay 2x - 3x more for a service which was canceled once I educated myself but now I am left with a broken water pressure regulator and a $425/ 15 minute consultation (negotiated down to $225).
I am feeling discouraged with humanity! Best way I can describe this experience is: "Beware of Wolves in Sheep's Clothing"

Feb. 27, 2021 Bill E. Beware- Incompetency & outrageous charges. ~ 8 months ago the first plumber attempted " REPAIR " a leaking outside faucet . First Plumber said he did not have the part & had to order it. Instead he ordered the entire faucet ~ $ 80 + for the faucet alone ..but did not install it . Instead he " cannilbalized " a washer & the stem ..installed them. He DID NOT GIVE ME THE OPTION TO RELACE THE ENTIRE FAUCET AS THE FOLLOW UP MASETER PLUMBER JAMES ( part owner) 1 week claimed. James first attempt to fix was to further tighten the stem. Fixed it ? ( no additional charge). Again faucet leaking .. When a follow up for this same faucet a different TIETZE plumber ( Robert ) informed me " This faucet should be replaced or install a different kind of faucet with an extension ...This Tietze quote was for $682.00. I took issue with his quote. His reply was " Only James can change the price..." I then called Tietze asking to speak with James explaining my trepidation . I was told he was off but would call me back next Monday....James never returned the call. Five days later Robert did a follow inquiry of my decision to replace the faucet. I informed him still NO CALL from James. As of this review ~ 1month later NO RETURN CALL from James ( part owner of Tietze ). I called another local Master plumber 4 days ago ..he replaced the faucet for $ 165.00.

On 12/16/2017 I called Tietze Plumbing for an estimate to install a water heater. I mentioned that I was going to buy the water heater from Lowe's and needed them to pick up water heater and install. She quoted $550 to $750. When the guys came out to look where it will be installed I mentioned that they would have to pick up water heater. They said I would also need an expansion. So I purchased everything that was needed. After calculating their estimate they said it would cost $800 just to install. The next day they installed water heater and said it would cost $974 just to install. I reminded them of their previous quote. He just shrugged his shoulders. After they left, by nighttime my water still was not hot. I called, and he suggested I check circuit breaker , so I did. After flipping switch and waiting a couple hrs it seemed like I might be getting hot water. The next day , still no hot water. After speaking w/someone from mfg. company, I was asked if they asked me to turn water on to purge the system, I said no. She then said , they might of damaged the heating element. I called Tietze, and after she spoke w/the installers, she said that they did everything they were suppose to. Because , I didn't purchased the water heater from them I was told they couldn't warrant the installation. It would cost $49 just to come out in addition to the cost of additional work. I was not happy w/the extra costs. I felt I already paid enough. The lady a couple days later said the reason why it cost more to install is because they had to pickup water heater and install expansion pump. The installers already knew that when they quoted $800 but then charged me $973 instead. I ended up having to call a different plumber. This other plumber was very nice and fixed the problem at no charge. He said I already paid enough for a poor installation job. I WILL NEVER CALL TIETZE PLUMBING AGAIN. THEY LIED TO ME, OVERCHARGED ME, DID NOT WANT TO WARRANT THEIR INSTALLATION. And I will continue to spread my review because it's not right that they rip people off.

Hearing water running I needed to locate a water leak. After calling Tietze the plumbers that came out were very nice but did not seem to know where to start looking. After 6 hrs $1100 dollars an four large holes in my Sheetrock in 2 rooms they left me with a $2000 bid to reroute my water lines. I declined the additional ripoff. They left me with another water leak in the wall they put a patch on it but it is still wet an has a slow leak that is being fixed today by another plumber for much much less. My house was left in a mess with several sheet rock holes to patch up on my own. They tear it up but they don't fix it. Worst experience ever. Do not use these guys they are super expensive an do not get the job done.

Well. First experience was really good. A nice gentleman came out to check my water softener. It was about 15 years old and I was tired of the expensive repairs. It was from a huge national chain. He made me a reasonable quote and replaced it that afternoon. Did a great job. We talked about a whole house filter and a New RO system. He gave me some idea of the price and told me when I was ready to call and they'd give me a quote. So a couple months later I call for a quote and hope to get the same guy. The guy that came was a different person. Didn't seem to interested. Started helping himself to the candy bowl without asking. We just wanted a couple of quotes. He couldn't even do that. Said he'd get back with us. So about 5 days goes by and no quote. Nothing fancy just the whole house filter and RO system and we currently had an RO system just was 15 years old so the plumbing was in. He finally gave us an outrageous quote. We ended up buying an RO system and replacing it ourselves. It took 30 minutes. Saved about $400 in labor. I then was thinking about the whole situation and thought they might like to know about my experience. I sent in a very nice email detailing the good and the bad experience I had with them. It's been a few weeks and I've still heard nothing.

Beware- $680 for one hour worth of work and a handful of fittings you can buy at any big box store.
