Tierney Plumbing
Company Overview
Founded in 2009, Tierney Plumbing is a locally-operated company led by Ronald Tierney, a Master Plumber boasting more than 35 years in the trade. In North Texas, Tierney Plumbing is known for being the most honest plumbing service. We offer both plumbing services. As a family-owned business, we carefully select only the top plumbers who are trustworthy and take pride in their work. Our company is small with a fleet of five trucks.
Our team is compensated with an hourly wage and a monthly bonus based on customer satisfaction. We avoid upselling or overcharging our customers into buying anything they don’t require. Differing from many plumbing companies that set their plumbers to meet commission goals, we hold that this creates dishonesty, putting homeowners and customers at a disadvantage.

Second time using Tierney Plumbing. Last time the service was great and it is the same this time. Jason is very skilled and did an excellent job. Will use them again and refer them to my friends!
We had a clog in our mainline and the plumber unclogged it but then it clogged right back up again in less than 2 weeks. I called Tierney back telling them it clogged up again and to send somebody out to fix the problem again free of charge since I already paid the first time and they said I would have to pay again which I didn't want to do since that's not good customer service. I then called another plumber from a different company (since Tierney and he unclogged it and it's been fine since. My thought is that the Tierney plumber never fully unclogged our mainline, just half-a$sed it and we had to spend another several hundred dollars to fix the same problem. I may have just had a bad experience but I'm not using them again. If they had come out the second time free of charge to fix a problem they didn't fully fix the first time that would've kept my business but the fact they said I would have to pay again lost me as a customer.
Anh N.We called Tierney to fix our garbage disposal, a running toilet, a bathroom that had a slight / barely noticeable leak in the faucet, our outdoor water spicket, and a leak in our shower which they fixed previously (so basically their previous fix DID NOT WORK). Only the garbage disposal was fully fixed but the other items I was not impressed with. This is what they left us with along with almost a $1,000 bill:
1) Running toilet - The guy broke off a piece of a piece of the toilet porcelain resulting in us having to buy a $200 NEW TOILET. While he was fixing it, he even said out loud "I broke the toilet!" They only waived a portion of the travel fee and only offered to waive this small fee after my husband called the owner to inform them of what had happened. The plumber was defensive towards me after his boss called him to ask what had happened.
2) Small leak in bathroom faucet - leak was not fixed and the plumber made it worse. Guy said he had to order cartridges or whatever. He tried to leave the faucet in its original state (before he touched anything) and the faucet started to leak even more and was therefore not usable. Not sure how much we had to pay for him to break it. My father in law ended up coming over to fix what the plumber was unable to "fix".
3) Outdoor water spicket - he took out several bricks, exposing our insulation, to fix this. Now we have to fix someone to fix our bricks. Just more $$$$ to spend to fix what this guy "fixed".
4) Shower leak - as I mentioned, they had previously fixed this but there was still a leak. Basically their previous fix did not work.
One piece of advice for the company: Please take off your shoes or wear shoe covers before you walk all over the house. He originally took off his shoes. Then I noticed later on he had them on. Geezus - it's disgusting so be considerate of people's homes!!!
Lindsay P.I'm a tenant in a rental property and have used tierney a couple times. The plumbers are very professional and curious, however, the lady that answers the phone is incredibly unprofessional! There was an unpaid bill from my landlord (not me) and I'm not sure they even have his phone number correct because he always calls people back and pays bills. This woman was being snarky with me. A few hours later when I called to say that my landlord called them and left a message but had not received a return call, she actually replied "How does it feel?" I have never had such poor customer service or someone be shop rude!
Tierney Plumbing provided good service in the first two visits during my remodel. The last visit NOT SO GOOD. The tub strainer was missing and the overflow stop did not function. Before the work of replacing the drain was approved I had asked the plumbers if any risks involved. NONE was the reply. They just screw in and out.
According to the most recent story from Ronald (the owner) the old drain came out fine, but when the new drain installation was started low and behold all the connections for the tub drain and overflow suddenly dis-assembled themselves. HMMMM?
Ronald (the owner) told me that anytime you work on plumbing there are inherent risks.
Maybe Ronald should share this information with his plumbers? Had the plumber shared that sentiment you would not be reading this review now.
Is not the consumer entitled to and HONEST answer to a simple question to allow them to make and informed decision? Now repair options are limited to Removing the tub and the thousand of dollars of Italian marble surrounding it or remove the neighbors stair case to access from the back side.
When I asked if they had insurance to cover this tragedy. Ronald's (the owner) statements "Your plumbing is bad, was installed incorrectly, we did nothing wrong, not our fault, nothing wrong with my ethics".
On the bright side don't think I was not charged for that last service call? Need to review CC statement.
Dawn H.Tierney just installed all of our plumbing needs on a large commercial remodel. They were a pleasure to work with and all the staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Their dedication to get the job completed and done right was a huge relief. I would recommend them to anyone both commercial and residential.
This is the 4th time in 7 years that my outside faucet/plumbing has frozen and ruptured the pipe in the wall. No interior damage, just the garage. Shout out to the best plumber in DFW - TIERNEY Plumbing. They are wonderful! Pipes fixed, water back on! Thank you!
Mike B.I have used Tierney Plumbing twice. Once to replace 2 water heaters and once to replace a kitchen garbage disposal. From initial quotes, to timeliness, to quality of work performed, Tierney's service is stellar.
Today was the icing on the cake. I noticed a leak at our water meter, called Tierney and Jennifer suggested I call the city's water department and have them come out before Tierney to ensure the issue is not the city's responsibility. I did so, but within 15 minutes Jason from Tierney's also dropped by as a courtesy at no cost as he was in the area. He quickly identified the leak as coming from our irrigation main line. Tierney advised me that it would be less expensive to repair thru an irrigation company and provided a recommendation.
In summary, Tierney has the highest level of integrity and efficiently completes jobs at reasonable rates. They will be our plumbing company as long as we remain in the area and I recommend them for all your plumbing needs.
I had Tierney Plumbing do the required plumbing work on our master bath remodel. It was about 3 days of work, and required moving 3 drains, water lines, etc... Each time they came to my home, they always called first and were on time. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and obtained the required permits to do the work. They also, put down tarps from the front door to where they were working to minimize messy floors. I highly recommend this company.
They charged me $202.50 to spend two hours on a weekend trying to unclog a washer drain. They couldn't fix it.
Two days later, Atomic A2Z Plumbing did the exact same thing, but used a better snake to actually cut through the clog and fixed the issue in less than an hour.
I asked Tierney for a refund, saying I shouldn't pay them for a basic issue they didn't know how to fix. They got offended and started arguing that that's just how the industry goes.
I will never use this place again.
