Company Overview

Tierney Plumbing is a locally-owned business established in 2009 by Ronald Tierney, a certified plumbing expert with over years of plumbing experience. Tierney Plumbing has established a standing as the most ethical plumbing company in North Texas. Our services include commercial and plumbing services. As a locally-owned business, we handpick only the best plumbers who are honest and are proud in their craft. We operate as a small business with 5 trucks.

Our team is compensated with an hourly wage and a monthly bonus based on service quality. We avoid upselling or pressuring our customers into getting anything they don’t want. In contrast to many plumbing companies that set their plumbers to meet commission goals, we think this encourages dishonesty, putting homeowners and customers at a disadvantage.

If you enjoy being ripped off, this is the plumbing company for you. They charged me $630 for a $300 sump pump and then, just to rub salt in my wound, bragged about how they could have paid even less for it. Even though I could have paid about $300 from more than one vendor, the Tierney representative told me $652.62 was the suggested list catalog pricing but when I asked to see it, the rep refused to show it to me saying it was none of my business. I'm not against a company making a profit but a markup of approximately 100% seems exorbitant to me. Be warned! Total to install one sump pump was $1,624.25!!!

Tierney is so responsive! Our family has been using them for several years after having terrible plumbers that take advantage of you and have shoddy workers. We love Tierney! They are our go to plumbers for our rental property, our home and both of our businesses.

Worked hard to fit us in their schedule in a timely manner. Accurately diagnosed, traced pipe leak, and estimated fix. Came promptly, finished in a timely manner and were courteous and the cost was within reason. We are happy with using Tierney Plumbing and would happily recommend them.

We had a last minute need for checking our water heater and Tierney Plumbing was able to send Ron out within a couple of hours. The fix ended up not being needed, but Ron still took it upon himself to make other adjustments to help us out that were somewhat out of scope for the original call. Really great customer service!

These guys saved me over $1,100 versus a competitor's quote for the same job. They came out the next day after we called. The plumber was friendly, knowledgeable and worked efficiently. They charge cost of parts plus a reasonable hourly rate which is much more honest than quoting a price for the entire job like many competitors do. Highly recommended.

We recently had some major work done around our house because of a leak in a hot water pipe. The workers did an excellent job of finding the issue and giving us plenty of choices about how to fix the problem. They kept us informed along the way with regular updates and worked a very long day to complete the job. They even cleaned up afterwards! After getting their work approved by the city inspector they came back around and did some additional repairs even though we told them we had someone else coming to handle that part of the job. This isn't the first time we have used this company and it certainly won't be the last! My husband and I would highly recommend them for any plumbing work you need.

We had an outside faucet / spigot on the exterior of our house that needed to be replaced. These guys did an excellent job and honored their quoted price. Communication was great and the service guy was very professional and courteous. I would use them again!

We had a clog in our mainline and the plumber unclogged it but then it clogged right back up again in less than 2 weeks. I called Tierney back telling them it clogged up again and to send somebody out to fix the problem again free of charge since I already paid the first time and they said I would have to pay again which I didn't want to do since that's not good customer service. I then called another plumber from a different company (since Tierney and he unclogged it and it's been fine since. My thought is that the Tierney plumber never fully unclogged our mainline, just half-a$sed it and we had to spend another several hundred dollars to fix the same problem. I may have just had a bad experience but I'm not using them again. If they had come out the second time free of charge to fix a problem they didn't fully fix the first time that would've kept my business but the fact they said I would have to pay again lost me as a customer.

We called Tierney to fix our garbage disposal, a running toilet, a bathroom that had a slight / barely noticeable leak in the faucet, our outdoor water spicket, and a leak in our shower which they fixed previously (so basically their previous fix DID NOT WORK). Only the garbage disposal was fully fixed but the other items I was not impressed with. This is what they left us with along with almost a $1,000 bill:

1) Running toilet - The guy broke off a piece of a piece of the toilet porcelain resulting in us having to buy a $200 NEW TOILET. While he was fixing it, he even said out loud "I broke the toilet!" They only waived a portion of the travel fee and only offered to waive this small fee after my husband called the owner to inform them of what had happened. The plumber was defensive towards me after his boss called him to ask what had happened.

2) Small leak in bathroom faucet - leak was not fixed and the plumber made it worse. Guy said he had to order cartridges or whatever. He tried to leave the faucet in its original state (before he touched anything) and the faucet started to leak even more and was therefore not usable. Not sure how much we had to pay for him to break it. My father in law ended up coming over to fix what the plumber was unable to "fix".

3) Outdoor water spicket - he took out several bricks, exposing our insulation, to fix this. Now we have to fix someone to fix our bricks. Just more $$$$ to spend to fix what this guy "fixed".

4) Shower leak - as I mentioned, they had previously fixed this but there was still a leak. Basically their previous fix did not work.

One piece of advice for the company: Please take off your shoes or wear shoe covers before you walk all over the house. He originally took off his shoes. Then I noticed later on he had them on. Geezus - it's disgusting so be considerate of people's homes!!!
