Tier 1 Leak Detection

My home recently had a leak that couldn't be located by another pipe repair specialist. In fact, the worker brought out his stethoscope and admitted his primitive way wasn't the best solution and recommended that I find someone with more high-tech gear. In all fairness, that company specializes in full-house re-piping and not leak detection, but I'll write a review on them later considering they advertised their capabilities in this area.

After finding Tier 1 Leak Detection on Yelp and reviewing the glowing reviews, I contacted the owner, Johnny Fong, and spoke to him about his services. I knew immediately that I called the right person based on his professionalism and knowledge. As scheduled, he arrived promptly and was very courteous by wearing booties and making the least amount of noise possible since he was aware that my infant was asleep in the house. Indeed, Johnny came prepared with high-tech equipment resembling a sonar-like device and wands. Within minutes, he identified the location of the leak and thoroughly explained his procedures on how the leak was going to be repaired. Even though he offered to provide me quote so that I could find competing offers, I quickly turned down his offer and awarded him the work then and there. The next day, he and his employee arrived on schedule and commenced work.

Again, both gentlemen were being courteous by keeping the noise level down, wearing booties, and properly lining areas with linen and tape to be as clean as possible. Walking me through the procedures again and informing me of potential risk issues, they began to work on my leak and took photos of the damage. Johnny discovered that there were actually a couple of leaks in the same spot and repaired both of them without any issues. He then showed me the pipe that had the damage and helped me understand the root cause to my problem (hard water & copper piping is not a good thing). After doing a thorough clean-up job, and two subsequent follow-up visits to confirm that there were no leaks, Johnny completed the job with my 100% satisfaction. He even assisted me with the water damage by setting up a rented dehumidifier! I have never had a contractor that did an exemplary job, one that made me hope he did other services than only leak detection and repair. His prices were great and above all, his dedication to customer service and satisfaction went beyond my expectations. A+++

If you need leak detection for your property, look no further than Tier 1. I could not have been more happy with Johnny and his service. In the few minutes you meet and talk to him, he is very pleasant, kind, and you can tell he is of good character. He is honest and goes above and beyond to do his job. In doing leak detection at our home, he charged us a very fair price for his service. He came out a couple more times to check on things and we weren't even charged again for the extra visits!

There were other things that I was impressed with: Johnny automatically always put on shoe covers before entering our home. Also, before arriving for his appointment, he always texted or called giving the approximate time that he would arrive. And, if you had any questions, you could always ask and expect a prompt answer every time! This is the type of courtesy everyone appreciates!

I highly recommend Johnny for his leak detection services. You will not go wrong if you choose Tier 1!

Johnny was very respectful and brought his own booties to the house. He was very helpful and explained the process of finding leak. And he took his time to make sure he used all the necessary equipment to ensure no other leaks could be found. Most importantly, he was very reasonable and honest in his fees. I called another company and they wanted double the amount of what Johnny was charging. And they were both using the same equipments. He offered to come out if there are any issues that my client may need help with. I am a realtor so finding great vendors is really important. Johnny also referred to me a plumber that he trusts. I would definitely refer Johnny to all my friends, family and clients. Thank you Johnny for good service and good savings.

I was not sure who to call when I noticed water leaking on the kitchen floor, then my neighbor gave me his phone number.
He came over and he found the problem in very short time, he also gave us many many information, and how to claim insurance..etc.
He is true professional.

Johnny is one of the nicest and most reputable people I've ever had the opportunity to do business with. I called him on a weekend and asked him for advice on what to do with, what I suspected to be, a slab leak.

He got back to me within 10 minutes on a Saturday afternoon and walked me through some troubleshooting questions. Even though he was busy, he found a way to stop by.

Long story made short, he spent several hours detecting the leak and fixing the root cause. Every step of the way he never gave up, made my priority his #1 priority and stayed until the job was done. He was thorough, fair and highly communicative throughout.

I'd give him 10 Yelp rating starts if I could -- I cannot say enough about Johnny, his work and his level of integrity.

I usually don't write reviews. But in this case I had to- Johnny was exceptional from the time he walked in to our house for quote and accepting the job until finish. It took less than an hour to identify the leak on a two story 2700 SQFT home. He gave us multiple options/ quotes to fix the leak. After we choose one of option, he came back and fixed the slab leak. Work was done in workman like manner. I've met many contractors, workers, but Johnny was exceptional rated #one on my tier list. Now I know why his company is called Tier 1 Leak Detection!!
He was very honest, kind, professional individual. I wish him the best of luck and I know he will continue to do well.

Johnny did a fantastic job repairing an in-wall pipe leak. He gave me an accurate estimate by giving me different scenarios of the issue. Another so called ""5 star"" plumbing repair service would not give me a quote unless he tore out my wall to take a look. That quote on the service call would have cost me almost as much as Tier 1's total repair cost!

Johnny was easily scheduled and even called me when he was running 5 minutes late on my appointment. He also fixed (and explained how to fix in the future) another plumbing issue for me. No charge!

Friendly, honest, professional, very knowledgeable, you can tell Johnny actually cares about his craft and his customers. Tier 1 Leak Detection will always be my first call for any future plumbing/leak issues.

Our home had a water leak that I discovered late one afternoon, and Johnny came out that same day after hours and stuck around late into the evening making sure the leak was located and repaired. He also referred us to a remediation company that has been a great resource as well. He worked tirelessly to make sure we were good to go and helped make a stressful situation a little less so. Before I pinpointed a non visible leak I called Johnny, Tier 1 Leak Detection owner, before to see if he can help confirm that I had a hot water slab leak I was dealing with and he spent the time to go over the possible repairs over the phone. He spent the time to explain the leak and answer any questions or concerns I had to deal with the issue.

Once leak was formally detected received a quote with options of a slab repair or reroute to the ceiling and proceeded with the work with Tier 1. Johnny was able to work with my time, scheduled for the repair and finished the job on time.

I would highly recommend Tier 1 as Johnny was very responsive before getting any work and throughout the job until work completion. His price was fair, lower than big companies, and his work was clean and on schedule as others have experienced on Yelp. Great communication with text, email, and phone calls!
