Tier 1 Leak Detection

Johnny's customer service is best ever! He is a true professional and a master of his trade. Ours was a difficult leak to detect and localize, but Johnny spent a couple of days and countless hours tracking it down and making the necessary repairs. He stayed on the job well into the evening to get the job done and to leave our place neat and clean. He is a dedicated, honest and thoughtful individual. I am pleased to know him.

Johnny is so good. We are so glad to find him through Yelp. We noticed there was leak somewhere. He came, tried couple of things and explained to us what he thought where the leak was.
It's the main line outside the house. He walked us through all the steps, check and make sure he found the leak 100% and start the repairing.
As you can see from the pictures, lots of work and Johnny and his helper spent the whole day from 9am-9:30pm, dig up everything, replaced the pipes, out dirt back in, triple check and make sure no more leak before he leaves.
Nobody can explain everything to you so clearly than Johnny. Very reasonable price and excellent workmanship. You need someone that knows what they are doing, so that it won't leak again. Plumbing is a tricky one.

This is my first time to write a review ever. I am very satisfied with the service I received from Johnny. It was good he was able to come on the same day I called and he worked even after off-hours. It was a little bit complicated to detect the leak as it was hidden in the wall. It did not take long for him to find the problem and fixed it. He's very caring as if he is a family. He gave a good advice and recommendations so as not to encounter any more problems. He is greatly recommended.

I had some high water bills for a few months and I figured we were just being bad at conservation. I changed my irrigation system to mainly drip lines and bought a smart water timer. This last month my bill was $400!!!! Called the water company and they inspected the meter and said I have a leak somewhere on the main line to the house. Called Johnny at Tier 1 and he was able to come out later the same day. Luckily I called him before replacing the main line because the leak wasn't on the main line. He found it in my sprinkler system. Not only did he save me the time/money of replacing the main line, but he suggested step by step on how to repair the system. Great company, great service. Johhny is the best!

Short review: Call Johnny at Tier 1 ASAP! You won't find a more honest plumber that does this high quality work at a VERY good price.

Long review: About a week ago, I discovered I had a slab leak on a hot water pipe. After looking on yelp for a few hours while looking for someone that specializes in slab leaks, I decided on Johnny at Tier 1. One of the deciding factors on why I picked Johnny (in addition to his great reviews) is that it is his company and he is the one doing the work and has many many years of experience in this field. My past experience has been that when you go with a big company, even the ones that say family owned, you never know who your going to get. They may be family owned, but you may get the plumber with 1 year experience coming out to you. With a slab leak, or any leak for that matter, you want to be confident that the person coming to do the work knows what they are doing. Slab leaks are Johnny's specialty.

I have been through numerous water leaks in the past, probably 10 in total when I used to live in South OC, so I have dealt with many different plumbers. Let me tell you, Johnny is by far the nicest, most honest plumber I have dealt with and he does top quality work! Oh yeah, he also warrantied the work he did for 2 years. If the repair breaks, he will come back and fix it for free.

So my particular slab leak ended up being under a wall separating my pantry and dining room. This meant that Johnny had to cut two holes in the slab (which also means patching tow holes), one on each side of the wall. Any other plumber would have increased their price dramatically under those circumstances.... but not Johnny. Even though he was going to be doing double the work, he did not increase the price quoted for the job... in fact, I even got a discount from the original quote.

Johnny took great care to keep the area clean while working by putting up a plastic containment around where he would be cutting into the ground. I have never had a plumber do that before! He quickly and efficiently made the repair and re-cemented the hole like new. After he was done, he swept up the area and I believe used his shop vac so there were no debris left.

Seriously folks, if you have any kind of water leak in your house, call Johnny. He is the nicest most honest plumber you will ever find.

Hopefully I never have another water leak but if I do, Johnny will be my first call.

Johnny is very knowledgeable, reliable and goes the extra mile! He came by my house at end of his workday--about 8pm just to look at a potential slab leak. He spent much time testing out the source and explaining why he was sure I DIDN'T have a slab leak. Looked at another potential issue too. Determined I didn't need him and left with no charge. I'll definitely call him next time I need a plumber!

Excellent service. Reliable, honest, reasonably priced and helpful. Wore booties over their shoes when they entered the house. Even charged me a little less than the original quote since he found the leak so quickly. Gave me an idea how to repair. What more could you ask for. I highly recommend.

Let me tell you a little something about Johnny @ Tier 1. He's Awesome.

We had a leak coming out of our wall, and our home warranty company assigned me a plumber, I looked them up on Yelp, and they had poor reviews. Johnny has previously helped with a leak, so I called him up and asked if he could come out and I would pay out of pocket. He remembered me (last service was more than a year ago), and suggested I call up the warranty company and ask them to switch it over to him & Tier 1, which I did and they did.

I called Johnny at 8:53, my warranty claim was transferred to him at 9:30, and at 10:15 he text letting me know he might be able to get to me today instead of tomorrow! He text at 2:40 or so letting me know he was 30 minutes away, and then arrived promptly at 3:10.

Wearing masks and booties, Johnny and Trey used some ghostbusters looking equipment to find the leak, and then laid down drop clothes and plastic everywhere (honestly the room looked like something out of Dexter), before opening up the wall and cutting open some pipes. Using some sort of plumbing magic, they found not one but two pipes that could be leaky, so Johnny & Trey sealed them both. The whole process took almost 5 hours, on a Friday afternoon, they didn't leave until past 8, but not once did they complain, suggest packing up and coming back tomorrow, they just kept working at it until it was done. They left the house cleaner than when they got here, vacuuming any dust/mess that was made.

The level of professionalism, work ethic and sheer quality delivered by Tier 1 is second to none, and I recommend them wholeheartedly.
