Tidewater Heating & Cooling was first founded as Eastern Shore Geothermal. The increase in geothermal installations highlighted the need for service and repair of recent systems. In our early years, we undertook numerous smaller projects, gradually building a reputation for quality work at fair prices. As word spread, our projects increased in size and complexity, allowing us to grow. In 2019, we adopted the name Tidewater Heating and Cooling to accurately represent our broader service capabilities and to dispel any confusion regarding our specialization in geothermal systems. At this time, we also took over Willey’s Plumbing, a well-regarded local company, and brought Willey Shorter on board as our Master Plumber. We are still expanding today, with numerous crews prepared to install, maintain, and service HVAC and plumbing systems in the Mid-Shore area.

Joshua Arquiett is from Brasher Falls, NY, a quaint town situated nearer to Canada than to New York City. Josh earned his AAS in HVAC Engineering Technology from SUNY Canton. This degree laid a solid foundation for rapid learning in the field after he began working. Following graduation, Josh moved to Easton, Maryland, where he developed his skills and confidence with the help of colleagues and management, leading him to contemplate launching his own business after roughly ten years in the field. Now, Josh holds a Master HVAC license and boasts 19 years of experience in the industry.
