I asked for an estimate for a water meter. They wouldn't help me and said that until I got the water shut off on my street they wouldn't give me an estimateu which made no sense. When I explained the water for the entire street couldn't be shut off until I had an appointment they told me to ""find a different plumber"" and acted as if I was a nuisance for asking for next steps. It took a month to even get that information.

If I could I would give ZERO stars. We waited for a whole week for them to come over and check why our radiators are cold all the time. After having 64 F in my apartment for more than a week with 2 little kids, two guys came, checked the boiler down in a basement, checked the radiators and determined EVERYTHING IS FINE. I can't believe they really said this. I asked them if they think 64 F is fine. Those two guys said we have old windows. After I asked how is this related to the fact that the radiators are completely cold they said they have nothing to do here and simply walked out on me. AWFUL AWFUL SERVICE. I absolutely don't recommend. They didn't have enough courtesy to even hear me out when I asked for their manager/company owner name. Just plain rude and arrogant. Disgusting. Really disappointing that this behavior is somehow possible today.

Tidal Plumbing is probably one of, if not the best service providers I have ever used.

As a homeowner, there are few things that cause more stress than plumbing concerns or matters that are otherwise out of your control. The courtesy, professionalism, and expertise that Tidal Plumbing provides alleviates all of those concerns.

When Hurricane Ida hit, our basement flooded with several feet of sewage and rainwater, like so many other people in the Tri-State area. The day after the storm, I called Tidal Plumbing for help, as our water heater and boiler both died. Within a few hours, technicians were at my house to diagnose the issue to see if there were any repairs that could save my water heater and boiler. Unfortunately, both were beyond repair. The team was able to install a replacement water heater the same day, just a few hours later at a very reasonable cost. They were also able to install a brand new gas boiler just a few days later, also at a very reasonable cost, despite shortages and price gouging around the area. To prevent and address future flooding, Tidal Plumbing also installed a sump pump and sewer check valve to prevent any future back flows from the city into our house. This was an extensive amount of work that took about 2 weeks. The whole time, the entire team was professional, courteous, efficient and always understanding. They constantly wanted to be sure I was satisfied with the work they did, which I was. They were patient in explaining all aspects of the replacements and installations to ensure I was comfortable with the work being done. Each member of their team I interacted with operates with integrity, instilling confidence with their knowledge and expertise.

My experience with Tidal Plumbing has been so positive that I have already recommended them to several friends in the area.

With 100% confidence, I can say that Tidal Plumbing is the only company I will be using from here on out for any plumbing-related needs.

Was expecting to write a better review.

We called this contractor to take a look at our boiler. They came, took a look, and determined that there might be a leak. They told us that their supervisor would follow up with us to give an estimate for the repair. We were told that we'd hear back from the supervisor either the same afternoon, or the following Monday at the latest. They also took a $195 evaluation fee and left.

Monday came and went and I never heard back. I followed up and the receptionist took down my email, and again promised that the supervisor would get back to me with an estimate.

It's been more than a month and I haven't heard from them since.

Perhaps, they make money by only collecting evaluation fees at each house. I would not recommend this company at all.

A great reliable plumber who charges a reasonable rate is hard to find. Finding Sunny, Matt and Matt is like winning a lottery ticket. I had the pleasure of working with Sunny before he started his own company. Luckily, I was reunited with him through Len Harris when my dishwasher needed to be replaced. The regular appliance installers were unfamiliar with the hookup so I had to call in plumbers. The water line and drain line went down to the basement instead of under the sink due the distance of the dishwasher and the sink being too far apart. This required finding the water shut off valve (which was behind the dry wall) and changing the original electrical hard wire to the new plugin standard. Matt and Matt installed a new main water valve, which we needed and a new water valve for the dishwasher line. The rest of the install was a piece of cake. Thanks again for doing a great job! They will be my plumbers for life!

I like that they were flexible enough to work with my cooperative building workers to pick a day and hour to have the water turned off to the entire building to make the repair. I discovered I had the same problem in the kitchen as the bathroom and they gave me an honest assessment and completed the work in an hour at a reasonable fee. I would definitely recommend them and call them for my next plumbing need.

We have used Tidal for several plumbing jobs in our house in Astoria, including a clogged sink, repairing a broken shower drain and replacing an old water heater. In every case, Sunny and his staff have maintained a neat and tidy environment, while fixing the problems quickly and efficiently.

Having just one shower in a house with two teenagers means any problem with that shower is a big deal. So when the shower started leaking into the living room below it, we knew we were in trouble. Tidal had people on site to address the issue within hours. And while it took some time to order and receive the right parts, they made sure a temporary fix was in place right away to restore shower operation.

Their prices are more than fair for NYC and their ability to get things fixed properly the first time is priceless. It's like having a friend in the plumbing business. Highly recommended.

I called Tidal Plumbing and Heating for what I believed was a clog in my sewer connection. They came within an hour of my call and cleared the main sewer connection of grease build up in under an hour. Very thorough, professional and courteous. The plumber also switched my old thermostat in minutes. Also, he noticed my water heater was about due to be replaced. You know how those things break down like clockwork. I will definitely ask Tidal to switch out my water heater too. It is not only the great work, but also advice how to head off problems in the future.
