I asked ""Scott"" to come by and evaluate three things: 1) The replacement of a tub faucet 2) The installation of a kitchen sink filter 3) Take a look at our home filter system.

The appointment was made for ""between 3-4 PM"". Scott arrive at about 4:10. Not a big deal but it led to a very hurried appointment which was fine as I had another shortly afterward.

Scott looked at the tub and quickly (30 seconds) determined that the faucet couldn't be replaced without tearing into the base to get at the plumbing. Fine.

He doesn't sell small filters so that for the kitchen sink so that was nixed.

He spent maybe a minute or two looking at the filter system, determined that the filer was fine and told me what size to replace it with when the time comes.

We discussed the cost of a well pump replacement for maybe another two minutes.

He was here at our home for MAYBE 10 minutes and other than taking quick looks at the three items mentioned, no work was performed and no parts asked for or delivered.

Our bill? $100.

We found that to be an outrageous amount considering the above and time involved. I answered Scott's email bill expressing that I would pay promptly but that I thought the cost was way out of line for the ""service"" provided.

I also enclosed a note with my check expressing my displeasure with his charge.

His only response was to cash my check.
