After we discovered an old pipe under the house had completely worn out, we went looking for a good plumber to make the repair. Many were slow to respond and recommended repairs that were invasive, unnecessarily destructive, and way overpriced. Not Thumbs Up. They were responsive and professional. The other reviews don't lie... if anything they understate how great Sal and his team are - solid work, great price, AND - no joke - pet friendly!

I closed on a two bed one bath house built in 1926 that needed a lot of love - water heater was deemed unsafe by PG&E (it was venting into the garage), the plumbing was galvanized and in bad shape, and it looked like a lot of the plumbing was done by the last owner, and the toilet & tub leaked and angled the opposite way they should have been... and more.

I had two other plumbers come in for quotes (and one that just never showed) and Sal was competitive on everything. He worked with me to figure out the best possible way of replacing my water heater and ran through multiple scenarios ranging from replacing a 40-gallon tank with the same (funky ventilation made this really difficult) as well as what it would take to put in a tankless. He's great at communicating, was really reliable, responded faster than anyone else I spoke with, AND taught my puppy a new trick (circles, in case you're interested).

If you're curious here is a list of the work I had done (and could not be happier with):
- Installed a seismic gas shut-off
- Replaced all my galvanized plumbing with new copper
- Installed a tankless water heater on the outside of the house (in a much better location than the previous one)
- Removed and disposed of my previous tankless water heater
- Removed and disposed of all galvanized pipe, 25'+ of gas line that was no longer necessary, and old vent pipe
- Replaced old exterior 1920's gate valve with new ball valve for easier water shut off
- Relocated laundry supply lines and drain
- Adjusted slope of both bathtub and toilet drains
- FOUND AND CAPPED AN OPEN SEWER PIPE that was just chilling in my crawl space letting rats come in
- I feel like there was probably something else, I'm just forgetting now

The team worked fast, were great to deal with, the work was solid and the price was great. I highly recommend them.

If I need anything in the future Thumbs Up and Sal are my go-to plumbers.

These guys were great. I live in Germany and landlord my place remotely, so choosing a plumber can be tricky from across the pond. They were able to coordinate with my tenant for a slot and get everything done without much work on my part.

Second time using Thumbs Up and once again Sal and his team came through! Great communications, always on time, fair quote, excellent work. I had them install a tankless water heater and remove the old water heater from my kitchen. I needed someone to come back a few days later and relocate a drain pipe for my new washer/dryer. Sal quickly sent Edgar who is the best! He got the job done quickly and even though it was pretty simple, he was great, as always, about thoroughly checking his work to make sure everything was perfect. He even spent some time helping me try to light the pilot light on my old heater when I mentioned it had gone out. Absolute best customer service and trustworthiness! The only plumber I will ever use.

Great customer service, reasonable price, and quick! I texted Sal about our leaking kitchen sink and sent a couple of pictures of the issue. Sal responded soon after with a quote and their availability. They came out the next day and though they needed to do a little more work than anticipated, they were able to complete the work quickly and for a reasonable price.
