These guys are not good. I sell plumbing and I would not recommend them as they came out to try and find a leak from the meter to the house. After doing lots of work with head sets, nitrogen, etc. at $398 an hour as there were 3 guys here, they realized it was possibly in the irrigation system. They came up with the idea to say the valve would not shut off. It would be a first that this PVC ball valve would not do so. I pushes hard, and then the final ""click"" to put in place. They had already cut it out and told me about it as I had it in my hand and now that I think about it I want it back so I just called to do so. We will see if they try and destroy it. Once they cut it our he said here is phase 2 of the billing, another three hours minimum at $398.95 an hour. I don't know what i was thinking but i should have said no, I will get my irrigation valve guy to do this for $300 total. They leave with a $3653.50 received payment and the same problem still exists. The two guys working were fine and doing what they were told but Matthew, who he says is invested in the company. Good guy too, but no problem taking the money!

If I could give this company a rating of -5 stars I would. My uncle had them come out to repair his toilet that was leaking between the bowl and the tank. A very very simple job that they charged my elderly uncle $750. The next day the bathroom flooded. He called them again they came out to fix it supposedly again. My uncle is bed ridden and could not watch them do the repair. Now for a third time the same toilet with the same problem flooded the bathroom again. I called the company on behalf of my uncle and raised hell. They were supposed to contact him right away which they neglected to do. I would absolutely not recommend them for anything. They are thieves with a license and they prey on elderly people. Totally disgusting!!!

Horrible service. Needed a leak detected and was told it would be upwards of 1500 to 2000 just to find a leak. Not including any labor/parts to fix the leak. Told Matt no and he stated he already called the office and got everything ready to go to do the job. In the end I had to pay him 220 just to show up and tell me it's going to cost me 1500+ to find a leak. After payment I didn't receive copy or receipt and was not provided one. He left and that's the last I've heard of him. Hopefully the 220 is all that I lost for a 5 minute conversation.

Matt and Warren from Thrifway gave a bud to drop a tub and install a shower for 2200. Almost immediately, they removed their masks even though we expressed our concerns because my wife is pregnant. After this, they proceeded to cut my door jam with an oscillating saw to fit the tub in the room despite my telling them that it could fit by removing the jam as I had to get the tub out.

They installed the tub surround with massive gaps even though it is designed to lock in place. When I pointed this out, Warren became aggressive towards me. After the job was finished, they left the faucet stem without a fitting on it so it was totally unusable. Matt came back and installed it, but once we began using it, the faucet has had a steady stream of water coming out when turned off. All this for a price tag of $2900! $700 over quote. He actually tried to charge me $3500. When asked to fix the leak, they said they don't warranty their work.

If you want shoddy work at twice the price, choose Thriftway!

We had a leaking shower valve module that was letting water into the wall space. Matt (the plumber) was very pleasant, professional and timely, but we were quoted $1800 for a job that will use about $150 of parts. So we paid $210 for his coming to the house after hours, and had the job done by another licensed plumber for $600 for 2 1/2 hours of work .

If you're looking for a plumbing PROFESSIONAL, look no further! Matt and his team are your guys! They are the perfect trifecta of knowledgeable, fun and easygoing to work with, and have the tenacity and efficiency to get the job done for their clients! It has been such a pleasure working with them, I'd give them 6 Stars if I could!!

Quality of work was excellent, and they were able to make it the same day. However, we paid $600 to fix a leak from water intake line to the toilet. We've been through this before in another house, and the price was half with another company. I would have called around, but we were scheduled for vacation the following day. Last time I'll use them.

I would give zero stars. Live in a condo. I did not call them out but the maintenance man for our condo called them saying there was an emergency the unit below me was getting flooded I said no not to my knowledge. Yes my shower was spewing water in the shower but not flooding it was going down the drain. I had a bucket in place to make sure it did not. Had a call out for my neighbor downstairs to come home and turn it off. This business said I had to pay 498.50 for them doing nothing because the water main had to be shut off and my neighbor had to get off work to do this. Matt was the man insisting I pay he had me sign that they were there. Then I realized I never got a copy. When I found him near our clubhouse he refused to give me a copy saying he would only deal with Mike the maintenance guy since he called. He was rude and saying it was getting ridiculous. I said well I never called you, you came knocking my door and could not do anything I already called to have water shut off. He was refusing to give me a copy tried to shut his van door and leave. I would never ever recommend this company for their rudeness and the maintenance guy here at my condo was equally dense to think they could do something. Nobody ever called to check with the owner. My roommate was home and he called me which I stated doing the right steps. It was not during early morning or evening or weekend either just at noon time this occurred!

Very disappointed in this company. Matt, the plumber, arrived 3 hours late only to tell me he was going to charge $500.00 (labor charge only) to replace 1 water connector hose under my bathroom sink. And, I already had the part. I decided after 5 mins to cancel the service since I wasn't convinced he could do the job based on some of his comments. I thanked him for his time and gave him $90.00 appearance fee which still felt excessive. Don't waste your time and money and go with a more reputable outfit.

I called Thriftway Plumbing to have a flapper replaced in my toilet. Pat, the plumber came out & told me the flapper I needed was a special order & it would cost me $320.00. I said that is ridiculous, I could by a new toilet for that. He tried to tell me he was right. I said no way am I going to pay $320.00 for a flapper. Maybe he thought because I am a female I would go for his BS. I called my son in law, which I should have in the first place, but did'nt want to bother him. He came over, looked at my toilet & went & got me a new flapper at Home Depot for $9.00. Had to pay for a service call for no reason. Very disappointed in Thriftway Plumbing!!!!!!
