Quality of work was excellent, and they were able to make it the same day. However, we paid $600 to fix a leak from water intake line to the toilet. We've been through this before in another house, and the price was half with another company. I would have called around, but we were scheduled for vacation the following day. Last time I'll use them.

I would give zero stars. Live in a condo. I did not call them out but the maintenance man for our condo called them saying there was an emergency the unit below me was getting flooded I said no not to my knowledge. Yes my shower was spewing water in the shower but not flooding it was going down the drain. I had a bucket in place to make sure it did not. Had a call out for my neighbor downstairs to come home and turn it off. This business said I had to pay 498.50 for them doing nothing because the water main had to be shut off and my neighbor had to get off work to do this. Matt was the man insisting I pay he had me sign that they were there. Then I realized I never got a copy. When I found him near our clubhouse he refused to give me a copy saying he would only deal with Mike the maintenance guy since he called. He was rude and saying it was getting ridiculous. I said well I never called you, you came knocking my door and could not do anything I already called to have water shut off. He was refusing to give me a copy tried to shut his van door and leave. I would never ever recommend this company for their rudeness and the maintenance guy here at my condo was equally dense to think they could do something. Nobody ever called to check with the owner. My roommate was home and he called me which I stated doing the right steps. It was not during early morning or evening or weekend either just at noon time this occurred!

Very disappointed in this company. Matt, the plumber, arrived 3 hours late only to tell me he was going to charge $500.00 (labor charge only) to replace 1 water connector hose under my bathroom sink. And, I already had the part. I decided after 5 mins to cancel the service since I wasn't convinced he could do the job based on some of his comments. I thanked him for his time and gave him $90.00 appearance fee which still felt excessive. Don't waste your time and money and go with a more reputable outfit.

I called Thriftway Plumbing to have a flapper replaced in my toilet. Pat, the plumber came out & told me the flapper I needed was a special order & it would cost me $320.00. I said that is ridiculous, I could by a new toilet for that. He tried to tell me he was right. I said no way am I going to pay $320.00 for a flapper. Maybe he thought because I am a female I would go for his BS. I called my son in law, which I should have in the first place, but did'nt want to bother him. He came over, looked at my toilet & went & got me a new flapper at Home Depot for $9.00. Had to pay for a service call for no reason. Very disappointed in Thriftway Plumbing!!!!!!

I have used Thriftway Plumbing multiple times over the past couple of years and they have always been quick to respond and very patient and thorough when explaining what happened and what the plan was to repair the problem was. Mathew is honest and there is no pressure sales.

My client paid over $2,100.00 to have a leak fixed. When her Realtor called them to ask them to get rid of the water on to of the Vapor Barrier they quoted $1,800.00 to my elderly client. I told them that was outrageous and they said that's the deal. I hung up got another company get the water off the vapor barrier and it was just inspected and the leak is still there. No we won't call them back to fix it with the attitude I got the forst time around. First bad review I've posted on Yelp and I've been with them for over 6 years.

I trusted a referral from another contractor when I needed a residential water main leak repaired. It wasn't an emergency, but it's rather important. Mathew used N2 and a ground mic to pinpoint the leak; interesting to observe and discuss (hefty diagnostic and equipment charge). BUT he then charged an ADDITIONAL $1250 to hand dig and repair a simple plastic pipe. This took roughly 2 hours. He knew I was in a time crunch by then and needed it repaired now. It's a shame, he was very nice, but lost future business with me and my property management team.

I have used Thriftway Plumbing since 2013 for multiple plumbing issues in my house. The worst being sump pump failure that lead to our basement flooding! Matt knows us by name and knows our houses system very well now. He has always worked very hard; he is extremely patient with all my questions; and analyzes the situation quickly to come up with a game plan. I trust his advice 100% and will only have him help us with our issues. Thriftway set up a payment plan for our family when we had to re-route our sump pumps, install new sump pumps with an alarm, and our outdoor faucet froze and broke...all at the same time. As a new homeowner we were incredibly stressed about all of this happening at once but they made it possible for us to fix all the issues without the added stress of ranking up credit cards. Thank you so much!

UNBELIEVABLE! first phone call to this place, they responded very quickly! seemed like they had every intention of fixing the problem & providing us with great service. He came and fixed the initial leak, which was behind a wall of paneling. Plugged in 2 fans...said he would be back in a week..... has been a no show twice, fans are still plugged in. Was supposed to return yesterday and didn't. Added almost $400 to an invoice after it was signed....... UNBELIEVABLE.... are there any good an honest plumbers out there that actually do what they say??!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WHOLE PROFESSION!!~

I called to get an estimate of some repair work. I was told there is no way to give an estimate because there is no telling what they would encounter. I told them I understand that it is hard to say what the final cost would be, but you can tell me how much per hour you charge or what the base charge to look at it is. Just telling me there is no way to give an estimate is not a good way to get customers. I would never hire anyone without getting some sort of initial price for service.
