69.00 FOR A QUOTE ? This is what you'll pay to get a quote. BS. This company quoted me 6200.00 for what i paid 2075.00.. Save your money and find another company.. We went with J.A.Carney in Walled Lake. They were very professional and did an excellent job. Stay Away from Thornton and Grooms

I was called to see if they could come out and flush my water tanks out. They are on the older side so I felt it was important. The plumber arrived and informed me that he recommended not doing it because of their age. He presented me with numerous prices for new tanks. The same one with different warranties plus other tanks the same way. I was then told since they didn't flush the tank I owed them $69. I said you are selling me a new tank that possibly could run almost $7000 and I didn't call you and you recommended not to flush them but I have to pay. I did ask if it would be applied to the new tank.? He said yes but since he didn't say it first I am not sure. I used to like them. I probably would of used them in a couple of months to replace but now I am researching a new company.

I have had this company replace my boiler in 2016, now it isn't working (the boiler) and they can't come out to fix until the 16th. Have paid them a ton of money over the years and now that I need them thay can't help me!!!

We scheduled and appointment for the morning of 5/6 on 5/1. It was for a morning appointment. Its 3:30 and no one could call. I called and was told they were to busy to come out today and offered to come out on 5/7. I told them that I had taken the day off so I could be home. No call or service. To bad there business is not so cute as there homey commercials make it out as. Dont waste your time waiting go to roto rotor

Installed a brand new bathroom counter and called this company to install the faucet and drain. We originally wanted to keep the original hardware but the plumber said that he couldn't install it and if he did they wouldn't cover the work WTF. Ok so we order a new faucet and drain. As my wife is ordering, He then tells us that we can receive a complimentary plumbing check and then he will give us the quote. Sounds good. He tells me my water heater is from 2003 and we may need a new one. Interesting because we bought the house in 2017 and the water heater was checked and installed in 2012. He then tells me he need to go out the truck to write up the quote for the faucet install. Comes back in and quotes me $800 for a faucet install and shut off valves!!! It was cheaper to buy and install the granite counter top. LMAO . I was in shock...no parts just labor. I felt like I was being punked or hustled. Did the job myslef in a 1.5 hours. Don't waste your time or money with these guys!

THIS COMPANY WASTES YOUR TIME. If you value your time at all, do not even think about calling these people. They don't get your info right even after multiple times of trying to clear up the problem. They will reschedule you constantly. Their call times are non existent, even when you call to get an updated time on the day of your appointment, they still cannot give you a solid time frame. They also will assure you that someone is coming today and then no one will show up, sometimes they call to reschedule but sometimes they just leave you hanging until you call and ask why no one came. If someone does show up for a job, be ready to have to schedule a second visit (which will get rescheduled multiple times) because they can rarely ever finish a job or have all of the supplies they need to finish the job at hand. All around terrible customer service and overpriced and like I said, they will waste so much of your time waiting on someone who never shows up or can't finish a job. Seriously, this company is super frustrating to work with. Save yourself the headache and money and go with someone else.

This is not the same company as a few years back. This last year has been really bad. Their customer service is extremely poor. Their mark up for HVAC systems was ridiculously higher than other competitor, Randazzo heating and cooling. They would match their estimate, only in the event Thorton and grooms installer did a poor job. The last 3 appointments scheduled were cancelled because they would not be able to come due to other emergencies.

Don't be fooled by the $99 drain cleaning 'deal'. Totally a racket. Needed to have my drain snaked. The tech did not even look for a clean out and instead removed the toilet to snake it....then charged me $300 to remove and reseat a toilet..What a joke. Worse part was they said they are sending a tech with a camera to look at the line at no charge...he said my drain needed jetting for $1925! I finally called someone else who snaked the pipe and put a camera down and said the pipe did not need jetting. I would never use this company again.

On April 2nd Thorton and Grooms sent a technician to snake out my basement drain which is backed up due to roots. He had a small snake, he tried for almost 1/2 an hour, then said he was done. He was supposed to charge me 99$ but had me upgrade to a plan that he said would guarantee my drain would be clear for a year, a plan. After he left I ran my faucet and the drain was still clogged! I called to complain and the manager said I would have to pay another charge to get the drain unclogged! I explained I had given them a check for 109.$ and had a plan, she said it didn't matter, I would have to pay another fee for them to come out again! I then talked to another manager who then said they would refund my 109.$. I told her that they use a small machine that can't do anything and they ripped off customers, she didn't argue, she just said she would refund my money. I hung up. On April 3rd, I noticed they had cashed the 109$ check I had given them, and they didn't refund my money to me! I then called them and talked to the manager who told me it would be 2 weeks for processing before they would refund my money to me. I said you cashed my check the day after I complained to you, she just kept saying I would not get a refund for two weeks, meanwhile my drain is still clogged, and they were a rip-off and a waste of time! I will let you know if I ever get a refund from them, let's see what happens! They made sure they cashed my check right after I complained

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Extremely disappointed by the service from this company. Apparently they don't know how to schedule crews to actually show up. I had an appointment for the afternoon of 3-Mar-18, but was told at 2:10pm on the day of that the crew would not be able to make it. At no time did the company inform me that this would be a possibility. Waste of time! Do not consider having them wast your time!
