In 1911, Andy Thorsen Sr. started with just a toolbox and a dream.
By 1916, he moved to Lander Ave, hanging his iconic ""Andy Thorsen The Plumber"" sign.
Simple plumbing and pump systems kept him busy in those days.
When indoor plumbing boomed, Andy upgraded to a larger facility in 1933.
HVAC joined our lineup during the postwar boom.
By 1965, Rodney was steering the company forward.
The ’60s and ’70s saw massive growth, culminating in our Walnut Road HQ.
Craig Pitau’s journey from GM to owner began in 2002.
By 2012, Craig owned the business outright.
With a CSU Sacramento degree, Craig merged tradition with innovation.
Before Thorsen’s, Craig sharpened his skills at Foster Farms.
Today, Craig and Julia still call Denair home.

They're trying to rip people off big time! They ""fixed"" our AC yesterday, but it's broken again today. They want us to pay them again just to come out and look at it, and they're demanding the money up front!
This sort of shoddy AC service is unacceptable in California, and we'll be seeking legal action if these people don't make it right.

They do not stand behind their guarantee. We had a new unit installed and they came out no less than 6 times over 3 summers trying to get it to work. This summer I can't get them to even return my call. We are DONE with Thorsen's-Norquist and calling a competent business.

Do NOT use. We try to support local businesses. We have 2 air conditioning systems to manage our 2 story home. One unit went out and Thorsens replaced it at about $8k. They had to come back at least 6 times over the past 3 years from install. Always some ""little"" issue with labor and parts = more $$. Last year our second unit needed to be replaced and I had another local provider quote and because the service was so difficult with Thorsens, I went with someone else. They quoted less, installed on time and successfully! We started both units this summer and again, Thorsens unit wouldn't cool. Thorsens had just been at our place in May to install more duct work =$1200, because that was the issue. By June, it wasn't better so we called the successful installer. He came to look at the problem unit and showed us the unit installed by Thorsens was old (perhaps even used) and incompatible with the cooling equipment. When I called Thorsens to try to work with them to resolve, they wouldn't let me speak with a Manager. Gabe eventually called me back the following day and offered, ""those things happen"" and ""they could come out and replace"" for another $5k investment.
In between all of this, our other property required a unit to be replaced which was completed by Thorsens. This summer, a year later, SAME issue where the unit is turned on and won't cool. Gabe offered ""factory sometimes makes units with issues"".
Do NOT use this provider for HVAC needs. They are not a honest business and customer service is not important to them.

We had our main line sewer plug up on Halloween night, I was not able to clear it with the tools I had so I called Thorsen's after hours answering service.
They dispatched Luis who immediately called us back,,, and arrived in :30 minutes!
The clog was under the street and with the electric snake wasn't able to push through,,, due to his persistence to getting this fixed for us, whatever it was finally broke loose and whalah! Flushing toilets again!! All done in under an hour...
Super nice guy!
Great service!
Affordable price!

Thorsen's to the rescue again! First super hot day of summer and a part went out on one of our units. Luckily, our regular service tech, Jarrett, was able to come over last minute. He knew exactly what the issue was and how to fix it. We were back up and running in 20 minutes. Jarrett is always very cautious and courteous when entering our home. He always has a smile on his face. Thanks again Jarrett and Thorsen's!

John and the owners son showed up this morning at 10, it's 7pm and they are still in my driveway as I am typing . To say they did an efficient job is an understatement. They went above and beyond to make sure the job they were facing today in our home was done correctly. They did not stop for lunch which is really bothering me due that I should have made these gentleman a hot meal. Thank you Thorsen's for having excellent employees, I am truly relieved!

The best quality service. Thorsen's reputation remains outstanding! I would highly recommend to everyone. Great communication and outstanding work!

Well, here we go again...spent more than $600 less than 2 weeks ago. Unit ran once while the tech was here and one other time. No mention of very recent service call from the office, nor any mention of a discount. Disappointed. They're due out tomorrow around 7am (yay). Fingers crossed it's less than $600 and will actually work, this time.

Tried to change the filter on our water conditioner for the first time.Followed all directions. Cant get the tank off to change the filter.Called thorsens told me it would be 84.00 an hour to fix. Told them we cant get the tank off to change filter. Was told if it was stripped not their problem. Told them how can you strip anything you cant turn. Husband went in the next day and was told it was a factory defect. The units came already charged. Funny stood next to the Thorsens employee when he explained how he had to charge the unit.Husband told them well I guess plumbing is different from automotive. If he installs something its his responsibility. Finally husband said well you are telling me we are screwed and was told yes you are.We can take the tank off, break it and then bring it in to see if there are any factory defects. In the mean time we are without water.

Had to both plumbing work and my heat pump checked. Ryan was great my problem was a little complicated and he had to come back twice no complaints from me. Professional and friendly can't beat that. Jason also did a great job even answered a couple other questions my husband had about plumbing and was super helpful. Will definitely use them again
