I wish I had read more reviews before I hired this company.
I was verbally told that an expansion valve replacement on my a/c system was complicated and would take 4 plus hours.
Unfortunately I then signed a contact which included labor for $675 based on what I was told.
The actual job took less than an hour and when I looked on YouTube I saw it was a pretty simple job.
I asked them to re-consider the labor charges and they refused, saying it was not a time & materials job, but instead a flat-rate price on labor.
I paid the invoice but will never hire this company again.

Thonus North fixed 5 breaks in crawl space, Mike didn't call with update (I had to call), was invoiced and told that everything needs to be replaced (rendering the work useless). Asked him to work with me on the total replacement cost and he refused, getting increasingly angry and accusatory. Escalated to the point of feeling threatened - he said he would send one of his guys to cut out the pipes he worked on because ""they're his property."" Called the local police, he apologized. Then days later threatened to put a lien on my house and take me to small claims court over $405. I paid the invoice in 12 days (within the standard 30). Received multiple concerning emails and texts from Mike that demonstrate his unprofessionalism.

I have a customer of Thonus North for Five years. It recently was acquired by Michael Grillo. Michael committed to do a critical job for me and confined three times that he would. He showed up on time and decided not to do, leaving my wife and I in harm's way. He is not a man to be trusted to keep his word. He is unreliable and untrust-worthy.

This business is under new ownership and I did not know what to expect. Mike showed up on time for the annual maintenance of my gas boiler. After spending almost two hours and replacing some parts, he gave me a bill for over $500. I could not really see the bill because he sent it to my email address. I paid him, and after he left, signed on to my email to look at the bill. The labor charge, although high, was competitive with other plumbers. The charges for parts, however seemed to be exorbitant and, after I questioned them, he did not feel he needed to explain them. If money is no object to you, then Mike is your guy.

This business is under new ownership/management and unfortunately we are not happy with the services at all. We're in a dispute about the billing and never had this problem with Len Thonus. By the way, we did pay the disputed amount.

Mike has been my plumber for over 15 years and he's now the new owner of Thonus North Plumbing. Through all these years Mike has replaced my heating system, my AC , water heater and most recently installed a new tub and shower surround. We've ALWAYS been pleased with his service.
