Eden and Travis came out to help my elderly Mother's drainage backup and seemingly worked hard, running the snake and camera from a couple different directions. They were friendly and tried to be helpful, but at the end of the day, the drainage issue was still there, with nothing to show. I paid nearly $800 for the service with nothing to show for it, and was quoted $10K (full replumbing under the house) to fix it. The issue just started occurring a few weeks back before we left for holiday, so I'm still at a loss for what the issue actually is. My mother cannot afford that on her social security. So now I'm looking at calling out a new company to do the work or give me a more reasonable solution, while I'm out $800. I was promised a call back same-day to discuss next steps, but I've been waiting for over a day. They also left the toilet off (because the issue is still there) and didn't close the clean outs. Beware

Update 1/8: John from Thompson Family plumbing called me shortly after I posted the review and we had a long conversation. They did offer to come back out to replace just a section of pipe where the clog was at for $3-5k. In an effort to get a second opinion, I got another company to come out and they cleared the main clog for $360 in less than 2 hours. I feel like the job Eden and Travis started just wasn't finished, although they did spend quite a bit of time here.

They quoted me $1750 to snake and $2100 to ""blow out"" a back up. Then quoted me $4000 to find and fix a potential broken pipe. I called another plummer who came right away and fixed our problem in minutes for $169. Now they are pressuring me to pay for a service call that only created undo stress to me and my tenants. Stay far away from these guys.

Eden Alexander is fantastically knowledgeable about plumbing, plus he is quite entertaining. I had originally needed a garbage disposer install after having bad luck with Angi. During the home inspection Eden found two other areas that needed immediate attention, so I had my water heater and the main pressure valve replaced. He also brought the water heater up to code. Overall, the job was expensive, but necessary. I am very pleased with the results. When my 8-year-old water heater was drained, it was full of granules and rust that looked like toxic sludge!

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I had Thompson Family Plumbing come out to my house to give me an estimate on a water softener installation. Although I felt the price was kind of high, I had them install the system. The installation was a fiasco. Corrections were made and everything works fine now.

Subsequent to the installation, the owner contacted me and apologized. She also refunded some of my payment which I really appreciated.

I believe in second chances, so I made an appointment to have them install an RO system. The day they were scheduled, they called late in the afternoon and said they weren't going to make it and re-scheduled me for a couple days later. Ok, I get it, things happen. One whole day wasted waiting for them but whatever.

Fast forward to the re-scheduled day. I sit all day again, waiting for them to arrive. 2:30 in the afternoon they contact me and say they aren't going to make it. ANOTHER wasted day waiting.

Third strike and they are out! I contacted another company to do the work. Thompson's second and third chance gone to waste.

Called Thompson because of a main line water leak under the driveway. They were able to work me into their schedule the same day. Tech Shaun B. showed up and explained what he was going to do to find the leak. Shaun was professional and communicated well during the complete process. Repairs were made and we couldn't be happier. I could definitely call them for any future problems.

I am pleased to say that I have been dealing with Thompson family plumbing for a few years and have always been happy with their service..

Both John and Shaun attended our last repairs, and as usual, they provided great service, with a pleasant and courteous manner.
