Everyone at this company who I have interacted with is incompetent. I have only used them because my condo building does. They do not return calls when they say they will and forget they ever serviced your unit or spoke with you. They do not come in the given time window or call before coming as requested. I have called many times for the same leaking shower they failed to fix the first time. Don't use them!

*Note: They seem to be in Silver Spring now.

The epitome of terrible service. Do NOT use these guys. Every aspect of working with them was ridiculous.

- completely didn't show up when promised. Wasted a whole day of work sitting home on my couch waiting for them to show up.
- when they did show up, they installed hardware improperly, taking 3 guys to fix the mistakes of the first guy
- when they left they said they would ""talk to me later"" about the bill, then after not hearing from them for a week they automatically charged a huge amount to an on-file credit card number.

I don't like leaving one-star ratings, but I'm hoping to spare others the hassle with these people, especially since it's hard to find a good plumber.

Definitely will not be using them again. I highly recommend others don't use them, because they don't seem to know how to operate a business in the 21st century. Not only did we have to have their plumbers come out twice, because the first time, the guy they sent out was insisting the floor grout was the cause of the leak. And when I called to get them to refund the charges on the wrong card they charged, they were going to charge me the 3% service fee. I told him it's the cost of doing business and his response was that the job was ""too small."" If you don't want to do small small plumbing jobs, then don't list as a residential plumber.

This is about a bad as service goes. The flush lever on my toilet broke and had to get it repaired. I sent a picture beforehand to Thomas Plumbing.

1. Given Thursday estimate of 2-4pm
2. Two guys arrive around 5:20pm.
3. Asked them to take their shoes off. They walked half way through the place and I had to ask multiple times before they would.
4. Spent 30 minutes working on the replacement before they realized they brought the wrong piece.
5. Said they'd be back at 8:30am the following morning.
6. Plumber came by at 9:15am.
7. Was running late for work so asked if they could just send me the bill, but the plumber wouldn't leave without me writing a check. (Also, be sure that they write out an itemized receipt. The one I got is really arbitrary with a total, but I didn't have any more time to argue because I had to get to work).

Needless to say, won't be contacting them again.

I learned this is the preferred provider for the association managing the condo building I needed some work done in yesterday. After a disappointing experience (outrageous estimate) with another plumbing company (also reviewed today), the owner called this firm and conferenced us in.

They were busy but ultimately diverted a plumber to come tackle our job due to a deadline we had. They didn't have to do that, but they did.

The plumber arrived about 30-40 minutes later...

That we got a new plumber on such short notice is remarkable.
That they came and tackled the initial work in record time was amazing.
The remainder of the job was more labor intensive and time-consuming but ultimately the bill was less than half of the previous estimate. Unbelievable!!

Give these folks a try for plumbing repairs for things you don't want to DIY

I was very disappointed in this company that had been recommended. They came out to fix a number of very minor issues (leaky faucets, toilet), and to diagnose and fix a major issue of no hot water in one of my showers. They told me they could either order a part, but they couldn't guarantee it would work, or I could replace most of the shower system. I decided to try the parts option first. I called every couple of weeks for months asking whether the part had arrived, and they kept telling me different stories. After about 3 months, I called back saying I would go with other option of replacing most of the shower fixtures but I needed to know what I had to buy. I left message after message; spoke with Bill, who is apparently the owner, and he said he'd look into it; left more messages, and still have heard nothing. Now that I have time in my schedule, I need to start all over with another plumbing company. I'm very disappointed in this lack of professionalism.

I have a broken shower diverter. I live in this house and through the magic of sight I could see that it was leaking in certain positions and not in others. Being an assertive, young home owner I thought that I would call Thomas Plumbing and have this simple problem fixed.

The receptionist asked me if it was repairable, I didn't know because I am not a plumber. I told her we could repair it or replace it if necessary, whatever it took to fix it. Not an emergency, so we scheduled an appointment for 3 days later first thing in the morning. I was given an hour window (8:30-9:30) and told it would take 2-3 hours.

I cancel my morning clients and take work off. At 9:30 a technician comes and spends thirty minutes examining it and decides it doesn't need replacing and tells me he has to leave for his next appointment. He did offer to come back and replace it at a different date and charged me $115 for the pleasure. In discussing this issue further he told me that the receptionist is habitually unclear when communicating with clients and I should never have been told that the work could be done that day.

I scheduled days ahead of time. I was very clear about the service I wanted. But apparently being a home owner who is willing to pay to have the shower diverter replaced is not good enough for Thomas Plumbing. As much as I would enjoy taking a second unpaid day of leave and paying a second $92 service fee, I think I'll have better luck using a different company.

A bunch of crooks. I paid Thomas plumbing to snake my kitchen sink in January. It was stopped up again on April 1. I paid them to unclog again and tell me what the permanent fix would be. They cleared and cleaned and said it would be ok. Now on April 14 it is stopped again. They won't even come on a courtesy call to look at it free of charge. All they want is an endless stream of 200$ checks, instead of doing it right.

I didn't actually get any work done by this company but when I called to find out whether they could do the job involving complicated outdoor drain, the plumber who answered the phone knew immediately what the situation was and what needed to be done.

Before talking to this company, I called about 10 plumbing companies and all of them didn't say whether they could or how to resolve the problem, but just told me they needed to come out to take a look at the situation and there would be around $75 service call charge.

Thomas plumbing company told me what needed to be done without coming out to see the problem and he gave me a phone number for another plumbing company that have proper equipment.

I felt that this company was very straightforward and knowledgeable.

I will contact them again in the future for other plumbing issue.
