We had Brian come out to my sisters place because of an obnoxious hammering sound when the toilet was flushed and somehow he figured it was connected to the sprinkler system. He was able to fix the problem in no time. We called Thistle again, and Frank came out to take care of a leak in kitchen (we were told it was a bad install) and because he was so thorough he realized it was from backup. He was also gracious enough to go through our crawl space without gear! And take a look at our waste line. Needless to say, we had them come out to change out our line to avoid future issues. My husband and I are so impressed with both Brian and Frank's professionalism, knowledge, skills, and their willingness to work a big job on a Saturday to fit our timeline. We would not hesitate to call Thistle for future issues.

Moved into a mid-century in Pasadena and needed a gas line run. Brian answered my call, came out and plumbed my problem line. He and Frankie were professional, easy to work with and fairly priced. I will use them for all my plumbing needs because they were really great to work with.

I had a plumbing company instal a liner at my mothers home and it was a mess. The plumber originally said he would line the sewer pipe up to the home plus 3' beneath the house. As they laid the liner on the grass, my mother took a measuring tape and realized it wasnt enough to go under the house. They ran into a problem where the 4"" pipe transitioned into a 3"" (this is where they stopped and didnt complete the job). He said no big deal the job will still be satisfactory even though we cant take it pass the transition. If my mother didnt measure the liner they would of completed the job and lied. This didnt sit well with us.

I decided to walk into Plumbing Wholesale Outlet to get some advice. They gave me Thistle's business card assuring me he would help. Brian Stewart returned my call promptly and listened patiently to my story. He advised me how to go about getting my plumber to correct the issue. He gave knowledge as to what should of been done. He even called the manufacturer to get more info on the warranty of the liner and what would void it. I must of called him 5 times asking questions knowing that I wanted to resolve this with my plumber. Not to mention dozens of texts.

I got the first plumber to come back and run his camera through so we could see what was lined. Sure enough the transition part from the 4"" to the 3"" had a 1"" overlap barely. I then started to quote Brian as I started my interrogation. I caught him in many lies to the point where he said ""what do you want me to do and I'll do it"". I gave him a chance to fix the issue and once again the job was done poorly. This whole time I was interacting with Brian and patiently he guided me. I no longer felt alone and helpless in this mess. I knew Brian was the one who could correct this issue. I asked him to drive all the way to La Habra Hts. to inspect the work and write up a full report as to what needed to be corrected and his action plan. The moment I shook his hand I knew he was sincere and honest. My mother took a liking to him immediately. He wrote up a 2 page proposal in detail describing what he discovered and needed to be corrected as to not jeopardize the liners warranty. I sent this to my plumber. Within one week I received a call informing me that he will refund the full amount on my mothers credit card. Thanks to Brian's professional evaluation.

Brian came out with his amazing crew and exceeded my expectations. He went many steps ahead to correct more issues that were discovered while excavating further into the home. There was additional cracks in the area that should of been lined. By no means was Brian trying to create a bigger job. He takes incredible pride and honor for his work. His knowledge of architecture and construction allows him to find the most effective ways to tackle a problem without costing you a fortune and time. He has all the latest equipment to troubleshoot issues. Im so gratful to him that I will refer the world. I cant thank Thistle Plumbing enough.

Brian and his team provided excellent professional service on a recent plumbing project. I needed to transition from an old hot water tank system to a tankless due to construction needs of our craftsman home. Brian gave ideas, pricing options and guidance on permitting. His pricing was reasonable, he was open to adjusting the plan and budget and performed the project ahead of time and under budget. What more could you ask for?

I just can't say enough good things about Brian Stewart. We were lucky enough to find him years ago when we had a plumbing issue of some kind (can't remember now -- there have been many over the years). He is honest and candid and does nothing but top-notch work. He will cheerfully wiggle into tiny spaces if necessary. And he stands by his work, of course.

I never thought to write a review until today, but it occurs to me to do so now because he is here on a Sunday, responding to our latest emergency -- a busted old water heater that decided to give up the ghost in the wee hours of last night. Flooded service porch, a leak that wouldn't quit -- the whole bit.

I emailed Brian at about 3AM with our situation, not really expecting a response on a Sunday, but promptly at 9AM the phone rang; he was here shortly thereafter. In our case the wrinkle was that we were planning to replace our old unit with a tankless model. I am happy to report that he managed to have one here before noon and is now finishing up the installation.

And: he is personable and polite; as an added bonus he speaks with a Scottish brogue. I rarely write reviews of anything, but I honestly believe you cannot do better than Thistle plumbing.

I had a problem with my kitchen sink. The water was not draining and my garbage disposal was leaking dirty water. I called Thistle Plumbing and Brian was at my house within 20 minutes. He was able to fix the issue right away. While I was there I showed him an issue I was having with my toilet; I could lift it off the floor. He said that it could take 1-5 hours to fix, depending on the problem. It was already late in the evening so he sent one of his employees, Frank, out to my house the next morning. Frank arrived on time and was able to diagnose and fix the issue within an hour and a half. Brian and Frank were professional, knowledgeable, honest, kind, and they cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Thistle Plumbing! I will definitely be using their services in the future!
