Third Generation Plumbing
Company Overview
There’s much regarding the air quality indoors that you might not know and certainly can't see. Up to 72 trillion minuscule pollutants, or allergens, invade the indoor environment daily. These consist of dust, pollen grains, pet fur and dander, dust mites, mildew, fabric lint, fungus, tobacco smoke, cooking residue along with bacteria. Numerous particles are microscopic that your nose and throat can't filter them out, and can settle deep within your lungs. Enjoy cleaner air through American Standard's AccuClean air filtration system, which eliminates nearly all of particles and allergens from your home's air. AccuClean is far more effective than typical 1-inch disposable filters and ionic devices. Opting for an air conditioning unit from American Standard or heat pump system that carries the Energy Star certification is an important step for reducing your energy costs -- along with consuming less energy. What can you expect from an Energy Star labeled unit? Cooling systems or heat pumps featuring this logo are at least 20 percent more efficient than the federal government's current efficiency standard. Investing in an American Standard HVAC unit with the Energy Star label ensures that you're getting maximum efficiency on the market. Make sure to ask your American Standard HVAC dealer regarding local rebates available from numerous utility companies and banks for the purchase of Energy Star products.

This plumber company was referred by our home warranty to repair a minor leak on the shower head. The technician arrived and for whatever reason instead of working on the shower head he started to take the knobs attached to the wall. Later on, the tech said that I need to repair a cartridge but he doesn't know what type and I need to go online a find out which one. To make it short, he mentioned that if I can't find it they will have to take out the wall and install a bunch of new equipment for $800. He put the knobs back together but he did it wrong and now I don't have control of the hot water and water pressure. What a scam artist, they are sent to fix something small and they make it bigger so they can make more money. BE AWARE!
This company is not to be trusted! American Home Shield sent them out to fix A/C and they ended up damaging A/C to the point it needs to be replaced! American Home Shield has a contract with this low rated company! Do not waste your money on both these companies!
Plumber came for a repair and told me American Home Shield would contact me to repair the hole in my sheet rock that he cut. Not only did that not happen but I was told by the front desk that I should call them. I told her how that is really difficult and she acknowledged the wait time of 45 mins. So.....how are you gonna cut a hole in my wall, tell me you don't fix that then make it really hard for the customer to get the hole fixed? I could the cut my own hole in my wall and NOT fix my own leak. Next time suggest that to the customer so you can live with a clean conscious. Wait you already have a clean conscious don't you?
BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! I have a Home warranty, they sent of Third Generation, what a scam this company run. Horrible customer service are EXTREMELY RUDE! Worst quote given for the out of pocket expance. Do not use this company. If they are part of your Home warranty company - pass on them immediately.
I place a maintenance order with my landlord for a non working disposal. My husband, unaware of this fixed the problem prior to leaving work the morning of the plumber showing up. So when he arrived my disposal came on and he took a photo of the item my husband had already unlodged. I ended up getting a bill for 151.00 for something this guy didnt even do. He did nothing to warrant anything other than a service fee for showing up. I reached out to the company and was told """"it is what it is"""". The owner lacks professionalism and his staff member lacks integrity for owning something he didnt do and they should be ashamed. Karma is in the form of COVID 19 for some business owners and this should be one of them....
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! They don't even deserve one start. The MOST rudest, sarcastic unprofessional office staff. We had an appointment scheduled for today which was made on March 11th. At that time I was informed they could not give me a window of time because they don't do their schedule out that far but I would receive a phone call on March 23rd to give me a window of time. I didn't receive a phone call but received a text at 7:43 am this morning stating a technician was on their way. I didn't hear the text message come through. I received a call at 8:02 am from Katie who said the technician lived 5 minutes away and is on his way. I told her that I didn't even know if my tenant was home could she please give me 30 minutes she didn't really agree she just said he's on his way. By the time my tenant got to the house she found a note that said sorry we missed you. I called back and talked to Katie who was very sarcastic and argumentative. I explained the situation she said they would have NEVER made the appointment without a time window and they have GPS trackers on the vehicles and he was there for 37 minutes and kept repeating that in a mocking laughing tone. I asked her what time he got there and what time he left and she wouldn't tell me she just kept laughing and repeating herself. I asked her to talk to her manager and she said """"This is your lucky day I am the manager"""". She finally hung up on me. I called back and asked to talk to her manager and she got a guy named Omar on the phone who said he was the service manager. He said he wouldn't charge me the $75 for the missed appointment -- I said well great because I didn't know what time they were even coming. He said as a courtesy he would schedule from 12 -4 today I asked if I could have a 30 minute phone call he said he couldn't guarantee it -- granted the first time they came out I did get a 30 minute phone call. I was texting my tenant asking if she was available and he said I need to to know right now you have 3 seconds because we have lots of people waiting -- my phone conversation with him was 8 minutes -- that included the wait time for him to come to the phone. He wouldn't let me explain how rudely I was treated by Katie. I asked if I could get the name and number of the owner he said """"the buck stops here either you schedule the appointment now or I am cancelling the appointment."""" He kept talking over me and being super argumentative. Needless to say, I don't want them back out at my house. Looking back at the time that my tenant texted me to say she got back to the house and the times that Omar gave me for the time the technician was supposedly there the times don't match -- the technician wasn't there that long. In a time where there is a lot going on in the world don't give you money to small businesses who don't appreciate their customers -- this is one of them.
We arrived at our condo with no working AC. We put a repair request in to AHS Warranty company. They put us in touch with Third Generation Plumbing. I received an early phone call Monday morning stating they could send someone out later that day. Noel came out and diagnosed the problem and respectfully answered my questions. Because of the age of our unit and the cost of R-22 Freon which is not good for the environment, he suggested investing in a new unit. That was not our original option, rather just get it repaired. I spoke with Vivian in the office at Third Generation Plumbing the following day to find out how much AHS would pay towards repairs. By the end of our conversation, my husband and I decided it was time to upgrade to a high efficiency unit since we felt our old unit would start nickel and dime us. The Freon is $90.00 per pound and our warranty company will only pay $10.00. We needed 6 pounds at almost $500.00 out of our pocket. Vivian said that Third Generation offers a interest free credit card thru Wells Fargo. We would be responsible for just the principal and Third Generation would pay the interest. I spoke with another person in the business office, gave her our information and she had us approved within 5 minutes. We decided to install the new AC unit. Leo and Steve showed up the next morning at 9:00 and were completely done by noon. Everything was tested for heat/AC and any leaks. All checked out. So far.....So good. My thanks to Vivian and the guys for doing a good job so quickly for us!
I had my water heater replaced by 3GP through my Home Warranty Company in August 2019, on December 28 while away from home the hot water side pipe blew off, was never glued. The Warranty Company doesn't staff on Weekends and is already been without water going on day 2. I called a plumber to repair. The HWC called on Monday to inform us what we needed to do and gave us the name of the installation company. I called the business office 2 times and left messages, no return call. The third time I called today I reached someone who was rude and was not willing to talk with me at all, kept saying I needed to contact the warranty company! I informed her that I had and she looked for a ticket which she didn't find one. Said the only way they would help me is if I opened a ticket (I'm sure so they could charge me more money!) I told her I had pictures and the part which clearly showed the pipe was not glued to the fitting of the hot side supply. She said allegedly! They DO NOT stand behind their Wirk and refuse to help you in an event of faulty craftsmanship! The installation crew also informed me that I need an expansion talk installed and a drain pan ( $35 and $7.00 respectively at THD) said it was code and the needed to install. Charged me $150 for the expansion tank and $35 for the plastic drain pan. Come to find out that no permit was pulled, no inspections done so those 2 items weren't required! UPSALE! I would not recommend this company to anyone for any reason and I'm in the process of contacting my attorney to recoup the cost of repairs, property damage and water wasted
**a negative star rating would be more appropriate.** I am writing this review in an effort to help future customers. Third Generation's business practices are so questionable that I would advise anyone in the Tampa Area who has American Home Shield (AHS) to cancel their warranty and find another company. For the two (2) times that I used my home warranty, Third Generation was the vendor. For the first job (bathroom faucet stopped working), they were supposed to be there by 11am and the tech arrived at 5pm, totally unacceptable for working people. For the second job (leaking hot water heater), I was told that AHS would cover the cost of a new hot water heater and removal of the old one HOWEVER, Third Generation needed to make all these modifications in order to install the new water heater and I would have to come out of pocket $628.00. This is on top of the $100 service fee I have already paid. Let me outline some important parts: (1) it's a townhouse, the water heater is in the garage (2) the townhouse was built in 2007 (3) When I called Third Generation to speak to someone about the price, I was originally lied to and was told it was a """"county code"""" issue and that's why the tech said the new piping was needed. I explained that I would call the division of building permits for the county and ask for any updates. Then the lady on the phone told me it was not the county but the water heater manufacturer. I politely told her I know price gouging when I see it. She said, """"if you don't like our price AHS can cash it out and you can go with someone else."""" I called AHS and asked about the cash out option. The representative on the phone a bit snarky said, """"you provide us an invoice from a licensed contractor, and we will reimburse you $379."""" When I asked how she arrived at that figure, she said that's what they would have paid Third Generation. So, let's add this up; $100 service call, $628 out of pocket, and $379 pay out to Third Generation equals $1,107 for a hot water heater in a townhouse! I went to Home Depot bought a water heater with the extended warranty, asked my realtor friend to refer a plumber (oh yeah, he's licensed and he picked up the hot water heater) and my out of pocket price is less than $750! Now, I will submit my receipts to AHS and see if I can get my $379! If I have to do all this, what's the purpose of American Home Shield? By the way, I have experience with having a home warranty. For twelve (12) years, I had Service America (went out of business) and never experienced anything like this in all those years.
I wish I could give 0 stars this is the worst company in the world. AHS should drop this company . Omar is the biggest jerk I have ever talked to . He is in the wrong business and he needs to learn customer care not tell them if they call they will be blocked. The owner should read these messages and take care of them. I told AHS this also and I will never let them in my house again. This company needs to hire people who know what they are doing.
