Don't use them. They peg themselves as a """"Christian Company"""" but are rude and condescending, made me out to be the bad guy because I was trying to explain our problem! Spoke with Katie Hernandez, there at Third Generation Plumbing. What a nightmare (I'm only using the word nightmare because I don't swear!) She actually hung up on me twice. When I called back to let her know the call had dropped, she actually said...""""no, I hung up on you!"""" Called back, spoke to her supervisor who also blamed me for the issue. BE SURE AND CALL YOUR HOME WARRANTY COMPANY AND FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THESE PEOPLE IF SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS TO YOU! I'm a Real Estate Broker and Manage over 125 properties. When Home Warranty Companies get more than two or three complaints, they quickly drop companies like this.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! this is the worst plumbing company I have EVER dealt with. The only reason they are even in business is because they contract with Global home warranty. Listen to all the other reviews and don't bother with this HORRIBLE company. On top of that their customer service is absolutely rude. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY OF YOUR HOME NEEDS THEY DO NOT CARE!

We had no choice and were given Third Generation by First American Home Warranty Co. After reading the many negative reviews, I foolishly accepted them. Our kitchen drain line needed to be snaked and I asked for that. Their rep said no. The problem was in the wall. We had to pay $500 extra for them to access a pipe since FAHW would not cover """"access."""" So, they chopped out a 1 x 3 ft. opening in the brick wall. True, there was an uncapped drain builders had left for another sink connection and water was backing up into it and leaking. However, it has been in the wall for 30 yrs with no problems. If the line had been snaked, there would be no problems. After breaking into the wall, capping an unused pipe, and saying the problem was resolved, the tech left. Later water would not go down the drain. I called Third Generation back and next day they sent a licensed plumber who snaked the line and the problem was resolved. How I wish I had simply snaked the line myself after spending that $500. Estimates to repair the wall were another $450. I am not a happy customer. In fact, I'll never allow this company to do any work on my house.

I had the same issue as everyone else.. We have a new home we have owned for 6 months. We have called these guys out with our Home warranty.. Before he did Anything he wanted his $100 check. The first time he came, he cut a hole behind our shower wall, told us we had mold and said he would be back on Monday.. After waiting All day. I finally called and they told me we never had an appointment. Last week I called them out again as my toilet and tub were backing up.. He again had to have his $100 first.. He looked at the toilet and said. I can't snake it. I don't have to tools.. Again we paid this guy for Nothing!!! We finally called Roto Rooter and they did the job right and in 20 minutes.

We were assigned Third Generation through our home warranty on a new house for a plumbing issue. The plumber who came out was cordial and polite, though a smoker who smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. He fixed our initial plumbing issues. The work wasn't pretty and the finished edges were more industrial than residential, but my hose bibs were new and worked without leaking. He gave us a discount on the service for purchasing their maintenance contract. The discount paid for half of the contract and they offered to cover the $75 for a home warranty service call to cover the other half if we had a claim within the year - so we bought it. It was difficult to use the service contract and very difficult to use the $75 credit we were given. The office staff is absolutely horrible. I received a call to schedule and while I was opening my calendar she disconnected the call. I called back and the phone went unanswered. I called back and left a message and it wasn't returned. Two weeks later they finally called me back to schedule an appointment. The plumbing service contract is essentially a free visit by a plumber to tell you what he sees that he can charge you to """"fix"""" on this visit. Again, the quality is more industrial than residential with regard to fit and finish. This last contracted repair issue had a scheduled follow-up to install a replacement part in our HVAC. The HVAC tech is a very nice guy. He works hard. If I could call him independent of his company I probably would, just because I know his work product. I received a phone call from the office telling me he would be at my home within 30 minutes - the agreed upon procedure when we scheduled the appointment. I came home and waited. At 37 minutes I called to check his status and was told that he must be in traffic because he was coming straight to me and was not making any stops en route to my home. 41 minutes after that phone call (now 78 minutes after first phone call and 48 minutes after the latest arrival time quoted) I called back and asked where the tech was. I was asked if I needed to reschedule my appointment. I told her that I was where I was supposed to be - did they need to reschedule? She hung up on me. I called back and was connected to the HVAC Manager Omar. Omar said that his guy had to go to the parts supply house before coming to me and that accounted for all the time. I asked Omar when the tech would show up and he said, """"We don't give times. He'll probably be there in 15 minutes."""" I told him that after having waited 80 minutes for their tech to show up, if he wasn't there in 15 minutes I would like to receive compensation for my wasted time. Omar stated, """"I'll call my guy and tell him to take your part back and you can call someone else. There's your compensation."""" Then he hung up on me. Since they had already been paid for the part and the repair I find this to be not only unprofessional, but unethical. We will not be allowing another technician from Third Generation on my home properly or any of my corporate properties through the Tampa Bay region ever again. There has to be an HVAC company and/or a Plumber who can show up when they tell you they will be there and not lie to you about their ETA. There has to be someone left in the business world who doesn't resort to threats or hanging up on customers.

My home warranty assigned Third Generation to my clogged kitchen sink issue. He arrived 1.5 hours late, did all kinds of work on the pipes, manually snaked the sink and then told me the only solution was to reroute the line to the main sewer. In order to do this, they would need $289 up front to find the sewer line and may have to tear up my walkway or go under the driveway to get to the line. Of course the home warranty company was not willing to cover the cost of his totally insane solution. I was quoted $2,400 to reroute the pipes and fix the clog; this is in addition to the $100 I had already paid. At the end of the day, he left hours later and the sink was just as clogged as it had been when he arrived. He never got on the roof to properly snake the drain. I contacted another plumbing company (without using the home warranty), they came out that afternoon, got on the roof and snaked the drain for a little over $100; it is all fixed; walkway and wallet still intact. I saw some other reviews that say you can request the home warranty company reassign your case, I will certainly be making this request next time Third Generation is assigned to my claim. LAZY! LAZY! LAZY!

I was sent this plumber by my home warranty company, 2-10 warranty. It was a terrible experience. I was told they would arrive between 8 and 12 am. At 12:10 I called because they had not arrived and I was told the window was 10 to 2, not 8 to 12, which was definitely not what was scheduled. The plumber finally arrived at 3:30 and could not have been more rude. He was arrogant and condescending and obviously did not want to do any work - just wanted the $75 service fee. He told me the leak under my kitchen sink was because the seal was broken between the sink and the countertop so the water was leaking out of the sink, and then """"proved"""" it to me by spraying water through the gap. I said I didn't think that was the cause of the water under the sink and tried to tell him why, but he didn't want to hear it. He said I should not question him because he was a professional. Find somebody else to do your plumbing - this guy is terrible.

Third Generation Plumbing was referred to us by our warranty company. I read the previous reviews and was somewhat skeptical. Joe came out to do the initial estimate, and was very thorough in his explanation of the work necessary and the process of the repairs. Omar, at the office, was very timely in addressing all of our questions in a very professional manner. Joe's crew arrived on time and very very courteous.. All work was completed on time, and passed a very rigorous inspection from the City of St Petersburg inspectors. The work was completed on budget without any hidden costs. Very impressed with the company and all of the employees that I had contact with through this extensive repair. I highly recommend that you consider this company for plumbing repairs.

We read the reviews after scheduling an appointment with Third Generation via our home warranty provider and panicked. Yikes these are all terrible! We thought about cancelling but then the dispatcher called to say the plumbing guy was already on his way. I have to say our experience was 1000% better than prior reviews. John was the plumber/tech and did a thorough examination of the washing machine drain pipe that kept backing up and used a mechanical snake to break through the blockage. He spent 2 hours and got through the pipe but discovered our older home didn't have a clean out and water was just accumulating in the ground. He came back today to dig up existing underground piping in a hole waist deep. He was totally professional and walked us through everything he was doing. He came at 9 this morning and worked till 3 pm. He'll come back tomorrow to finish up the job and bring additional parts. It is a bigger job than anticipated - and not covered by our home warranty - but John worked hard all day and communicated throughout the entire process. You can't ask for more and we're pleasantly surprised and pleased with the service provided. I don't know about their A/C or Water Heater techs but John in their plumbing area rocks the house!

I had appliance insurance on this new condo we purchased in Tampa Florida. The water heater failed and the insurance company sent these people out to do the replacement. Tank was not installed properly, they left an electrical """"hot wire"""" dangling from the electric box, sold me two unnecessary items required by """"code"""" totaling $300 and have missed two appointments to come out and rectify the situation. This condo was inspected for plumbing by the town inspector and passed, so how could it not be up to code? I have no warranty information on the new water heater, the shut off valve they installed does not work, drain connection on the tank is inaccessible and the list goes on. It has been three months since the installation and I am still waiting for someone to come out here. NEVER use these people for your plumbing needs!
