I wanted to remove my previous review of Thermoil due to a recent experience when I was forced to call upon them for assistance . There is a fairly new oil burner in the basement of my apartment which was installed by Thermoil my landlady has a contract with them and therefore they do the service and maintenance on the oil burner. Last weekend I found myself without heat in the middle of the night , I was pretty sure I had not run out of oil , It was warm enough that heat wasn't an issue but I wasn't too happy about the possibility
Of taking a freezing cold shower In a chilly apartment ..I had to be in work fairly early and didn't have time to check out the situation with the heat until I got home in the afternoon ....When I checked the gauge on my oil tank I found that I had over a half tank of oil ...I was glad about that but now what's going on ? I called my landlady who is very elderly and wasn't able to get an answer from her phone which was off the hook for 24 hours .
When I finally reached her 24 hours later the landlady's son promised to call Thermoil in the morning leaving me for 3 full days without heat and hot water !!
I was forced to stay home from work to take care of everything and make sure I got my heat back ...I called Thermoil around noon on Monday only to find my landlady never called !!! I was frantic at that point I contacted Thermoil myself and the secretary Adrina who was very helpful assisted me in trying to reach my landlady. My landlady's son came over during the day and tried to restart the furnace which eventually went off again
Thermoil was diligent about making contact with my landlord , They were at my apartment first thing the next morning
Performed all necessary maintenance on the oil burner to get it up and running again and even called me to make sure everything was running properly !
That's excellent customer service even more so since we had a bad experience in the past ....I feel Adrina and the staff at Thermoil went out of their way to make things right and for that I am very grateful

This is for the AC/HVAC company: One word: UNPROFESSIONAL!!! especially the lady representing the company on the phone. Straggling to get any information regarding their charge per hour and setting an appointment for which they never showed up! Too bad they were recommended by a trustworthy friend.

Had a very similar experience to Valerie - they made a mistake, overcharged, never apologized, berated us over the phone, and they threatened us. Never using them again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Thermoil! These guys came out to our Store in Burlington on short notice when our heating system kept turning off overnight and refusing to turn back on during last week's freezing temperatures. We would not have been able to open the store without heat. Thermoil got us back up and the heating system is now running better than ever! Thank you for a job well done - 10 stars!!!

Our heat stopped working at home and we called all around for anyone in the area who might be able to send someone out on a Saturday afternoon and most places were irritated, rude, and unavailable... but not Thermoil!

As soon as I called, Andreana was ready to help me even talking me through the necessary steps to getting my furnace working again, all over the phone. He was so nice, patient, easy to talk to, and very helpful, even though I am quite unfamiliar with heating systems. He made our weekend and we'll be sleeping warm tonight!

I will definitely be bringing my business back to the Watertown Thermoil whenever I need equipment or maintenance in the future.

First, I've read all these reviews and I think there is a national oil delivery company called Thermoil which gets atrocious reviews and a local heating and plumbing company Thermoil based in Watertown which gets fabulous reviews. Luckily my experience was with the latter.

After my regular service company came out late yesterday and told me I needed a new furnace at an outrageous price, I called around this morning for quotes and spoke to Angelo, the owner of Thermoil. After hearing that I had no heat, he came out this afternoon even though he was incredibly busy. He took one look at the furnace and said you don't need a new furnace and he fixed it in fifteen minutes. It just needed the water valve to be adjusted.

I cannot recommend him highly enough for his willingness to fit me in, his expert and his honesty.

Atrocious customer service. All I wanted was for a heat tech to come by and take a look at the banging pipes in my house, but the woman answering the phone was so rude, dismissive, and generally unhelpful that I didn't think it was worth the aggravation.

We had a technician arrive late for an appointment and instead of coming inside, he parked in front of our house, and took a nap in his van. Other appointments were just missed for no apparent reason.

They are the best In the area! We have used them at various apartments over the years and just called for oil in our new house...We called today and they were here at 8:30pm! They have excellent customer service and professionalism...it was very much appreciated. Again, we have used a lot of companies for oil in the area, but Thermoil is the best.
