Early Sunday morning came down stairs to find water dripping from powder room ceiling, Called 'the works', John was with us in about 30 mins, located problem quickly, had issue fixed in no time.
Wore shoe covers, cleaned up mess from cut away drywall and thought rates very reasonable especially for a Sunday emergency call out.
Would totally recommend them and definitely use them in the future.

This was the second time we used The Works Plumbing and I think Shawn is terrific! He answered my call, gave me a price over the phone, scheduled the appointment, showed up on time, was pleasant, efficient and professional. Seriously, what more can you ask for! His rates are reasonable (my job was small, but he still came out) and his work is excellent. And he is a very nice guy. I would definitely call him again and you should too!

Our regular plumber (Pieper Plumbing) wasn't available to unplug our kitchen sink drain for 4 days. I guess our job wasn't big enough for him. So we had to look for someone else. We are so glad we found Shawn! He is our new plumber! He came out the next morning and unplugged our drain in 15 minutes. He was so nice and polite; I can't say enough good things about him. Because it was Saturday we were charged time and a half but that was still less than a regular call from Pieper.

These guys are the best! I had been having issues with my washing machine lines backing up. I called them and they came out the same day and fixed the problem in no time at all! They arrived within the one hour window they had given me and even gave a 30 minute heads up. Most of all, they were very professional and friendly! We will be using these guys again.

We had a shower valve issue and Shawn fixed the problem in a very professional, friendly, knowledgable manner.
It was our first experience with this company and we were more than happy with the service we received. Thank you Shawn! You are our first choice of a quality plumber from now on........................

Prompt service request response, polite plumber, but I called for a leaky return pipe for a water heater and was told to just replace the entire unit. ""Oh, around $950"" instead of the leaky pipe. ""It's galvy... ssssss..."" Was also told ""You know, it's old and that gas feed isn't even legal anymore"" which means nothing more than the building codes have been upgraded in the 19 years since the gas system was plumbed.
Plumber turned off the water to the water heater for his inspection, never turned it back on. (whoops)
Asked about installing a new return line and was told that because the water heater was so extremely old and could go at any minute, none of the work would be warrantied. (Nice enough to repeat that about 4 times in case I didn't hear it.)
Unimpressive and not something I'd recommend to another person, maybe I just caught someone on a bad day or something, but it's literally replacing a flex hose, connectors on both sides appear to be in good shape. Will see what another plumber says about it all.
--- And the other plumber pulled off both connectors, cleaned the nipples, put on new flex hose, suggested I budget for a new water heater, waited a bit to make sure nothing was leaking and now I have hot water again.
It was nice to get a plumber out instead of a sales-minded person in a plumber costume. Wish I could have gotten a plumber from The Works Plumbing.
_Added 16 Sept 2015_ It's interesting, the plumber's reply to this review has been edited 3 times so far, each time making it more and more of a code issue. Gas line has been checked by a Class A contractor (on prem doing other work) who said it can't be installed that way now, but is grandfathered. Meanwhile I've had hot water for the last 6 months since I had an actual plumber replace the hoses, and am looking forward to having the whole thing replaced (and moved). I do wonder if the issue was the mix of the copper and galvanized plumbing how that would ever be fixed now that I think of it.... the whole house is galvanized (standard for a house built in the 50's)... how much of the wall would we have been tearing apart exactly?
Oh, and the plumber didn't turn off the gas which is what a safety concern would have required.. he turned off the water. Saying he turned off the water as a safety issue while leaving the gas on is pretty funny to me.
Also since it's mentioned that the gas system is rusty... it's not, and the plumber who visited didn't say it was... I'm assuming comment in the company response was added by someone at the office who has no idea, but wants to paint the service call in the absolute possible light... in other words, someone who doesn't much care if they're honest or not as long as they look good for the 30 seconds it takes for the reader to move on. The line on top was leaking, causing rust on the top of the unit and a full water pan, nothing more. It was a 20 minute $50 fix that the imitation plumber was working into at least $900 for the new water heater plus goodness knows how much to replace an unknown quantity of ""the galvy"".
Good to see a company that wants to manage their public image with all the edits, but I'd rather see one that was focused on providing value to their clients. Honesty counts for a bit too.

Ok, let me just tell you one thing - they are the best! Now I can say with ease that I have a trusted plumber who is professional, reasonable, courteous. I needed work done for the clogged bathroom downstairs. I called, left a message. In a little bit I received a call from Shawn and scheduled an appointment the same day (it was Saturday, btw). After 2 hours they arrived and fixed the issue! Very nice, polite and pleasure to work with. I am completely satisfied. And, yes, I would definitely recommend them to my friends. Thank you, Works Plumbing

My faucet broke, so I needed a new one installed right away. I chose The Plumbing Works based on the glowing reviews here. They are well deserved! Shawn arrived exactly on time, put booties over his shoes to protect my floor (I appreciated this), quickly and professionally installed my new faucet and garbage disposer (within an hour), and cleaned up afterwards. He's friendly and courteous as well. What more could you ask for? I will definitely call him again the next time I have any plumbing job.

A year ago, our home inspection noted some corrosion on the piping over the water heater. This morning we found a slow drip from one of the pipes. I checked Yelp, found The Works Plumbing with great reviews, and made the call around 8:30am. It's 9:45am, the pipes are replaced, no more leaking. Parts and labor completely reasonable and we are amazed with the quick and professional response. Thank you Shawn for a job well done. I will use The Works for any future plumbing work and will recommend to friends in need.

Shawn was great! We called and he was here right away. He was very nice and identified our problem right away and took care of it within an hour. Reasonable rates and great job!
