The Unstoppers started in the late 70s in Maryland. When the founder transferred to Florida, he launched The Unstoppers Complete Plumbing in the Brooksville community. We cover all of Hillsborough County.

The unstoppers proved to be both unreliable and unethical. They were scheduled to come out on a Friday and simply said """"sorry, we'll be out next week."""" Of greater concern was the work they did. They came to my home to fix a hot water heater (check for a leak). They determined that there was no leak. BUT, after they left, there was no hot water. While they were there, they made several changes / adjustments to the unit. When I called them, they lied, saying that they never touched the unit. They simply refused to come back to fix what they broke. Do yourself a favor: Find another plumber!!!

Their service is deplorable...absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. They charged me twice for the same job and didn't make an effort to resolve the issue. Ultimately got it resolved thankfully but no thanks to the rude employee at the Unstoppers...

It is a shame there are so many super negative reviews on this company. I also had to use them because of warranty I have. They got the request for service on 9/21 and were out to check my water heater on 9/22. Determined it needed to be replaced, was back here today on 9/23. My service guy, Larry, was the epitome of a professional plumber. He most certainly knows his business. He is also very kind. After installing the heater, he waited a few minutes to be sure nothing leaked; sure enough he found a leak so he told me he wasn't leaving until the job was perfect. He stayed and fixed the leak - very minor, something needed to be removed and tightened. If I need plumbing services again I WOULD call them, BUT I would be requesting only Larry. I am very satisfied with the job that was done.

The Worst company I have ever dealt with, wrong diagnosis, poor work, same problem exists after they leave, .. If you want something done right, if you want your money's worth, skip this company and find one who will stand behind their work.

This has to be the most dishonest and crooked plumbing company that I've ever came across. The manager argued with me for 10 mins about work that was done. He stated that I would have to pay another service fee to send someone back out even though they never fixed the problem the first time. Then he stated that the reason the work wasn't done was because I denied access to the plumbing. When in fact I said that it was fine. I have a 2' x 2' hole in my wall that shows the access. But instead of sending someone to verify or ask for a picture he called me a liar and stated that his invoice shows no work being done. I even offered to send him my invoice copy to show that access was made and work was attempted. I will never again use this low rate company. Buyers beware.

Like the other posts, Unstoppers was assigned to me by warranty company. I'm having my bathrooms updated and ran into issues with water shut off valve and old leaky water heater. When the guy they sent gets here 2 days later he tells me he was not advised of the valve problem and the water heater was not leaking even though it was rusty and wet. I got the contractor who's doing my baths on the phone who attempted to tell the plumber that the water heater was leaking, but he wasn't having it. He took my $85 and left, I called and told the women who answers the phone that I wanted someone else to look at it. Advised her for the 2nd time that they had my old phone #. I didn't hear back, so I called again. Her response """"Oh you want us to give you a 2nd opinion?"""" Yes...I already paid you the deductible! Yet another 2 days go by. 2nd guy, very nice, professional. He could not believe the 1st guy said it wasn't leaking. Said he'd be back today (9/25) to do the work. BTW he still was given my old phone number by the office, even though I had also e mailed the correct number. Yesterday when I called to check on things she had no idea what had transpired with the 2nd guy. When I told her he still had my old phone number, she said I was being abusive and hung up on me. When I called back, she just picked up without saying anything and put me on hold. Turns out because the 1st idiot filed a claim that nothing was wrong and the 2nd guy said there was, they had to have more info to review the claim. Meanwhile 2 bathrooms torn up. She who does not understand English called this am all humble to say the claim was approved but they can't come until 9/29. 13 days from my initial phone call. I guess you can't select 0 stars.

the worst ever , they told me they would come out to see what is up , for $80 I have a thy showed up, he told me he was to big to under the house to see what was going on, then they told me they would be back with some one who could fit ,iam 240 lbs I fit under there ,they never showed back up, every time I called they were rude ,so they show up take your money and never come back,

Used Un-Stoppers through a warranty company. I was advised the permit fee to install a water heater was $150.00, I questioned the plumber, thinking this was high but ended up paying the fee after he explained to me that was the county fee. When inspector from the county (Hillsborough) came to inspect the installation I asked why the county fee was so high, turns out the county charges $34.80 (I did speak with the county building permid department and they were surprised at the high fee). I called Un-stoppers to ask to speak with a person in charge, turns out I was speaking to the dispatcher, waited for the general manager to call me, which she never did. I finally called and spoke with a Sherry Wallison (not sure of spelling or even if this was her real name) and explained that I questioned the plumber about the fee and was advised this is the fee, every time un-stoppers installs a water heater the permit fee is $150.00. Not knowing I could have gone to the county and gotten my own permit but then again when I asked the dispatcher this, he told me that if I had gotten my own permit and if Un-stoppers had installed the water heater incorrectly and it wouldn't pass county inspection, Unstoppers would not come out and repair the mistake. So now I'm taking to Sherry, the general manager and she said because I signed an agreement that I would pay the $150 there was nothing else she could do. I explained to her the only reason I signed the agreement was that after questioning the fee, I was led to believe that this is what the county charges. All in all the only professional from this whole experience was the plumber. I had to advised Sherry I needed to hang the phone up since she was yelling at me and I don't intend to use there services again. I have advised the warranty company of the complaint and to never schedule this company again for any services I may need. Extremely unprofessional. Patricia Smith
