I'm a little mad at myself for not checking Yelp a little more carefully when selecting a plumber. In particular, I wish I'd seen the fact that they have 120+ filtered reviews. WTH Yelp?

These guys remind me a lot of an expose piece I saw on television years ago about garage door repairmen. They come out to inspect your problem and, upon further ""examination"", try to up-sell you by always finding some ""bigger issue"".

My situation was similar to a number of other reviewers on Yelp. They came out for a very simple clogged pipe in our shower (something that should be under $100) and claimed to find a crack in one of our pipes underneath due to ""erosion"".

I couldn't believe what I was hearing! We had a complete plumbing overhaul when we bought our house two years ago and upgraded to copper piping and replaced all previous drainage pipes. I was quoted $800 to have it replaced on the spot. This didn't seem right to me at all, so I contacted our contractor who had done our house to get the name of the sub-contracted plumber he used. This plumber came out that VERY SAME DAY because he was upset that perhaps he had done something wrong and he was worried about it.

Guess what? If you'd read other reviews, you already know the answer.....NO CRACK in the pipe. No pipe problems at all. It was basically a huge clump of hair, which is what my husband and I had originally suspected was the problem. This guy had it out in a matter of a minute, and didn't even charge us a penny! When I told him that it was Schuelke plumbing we had first contacted, he got irritated and said that he wasn't surprised one bit and that they have a reputation for doing that sort of thing. He also said that, if they were going to try to con me, they should have at least recognized that the pipes were nearly brand new and tried some tactic other than ""erosion"". LOL!

Why do companies like this continue to think they can get away with this stuff? Don't they know that websites like Yelp exist? I just hope that my review doesn't get filtered out by Yelp and it will actually help others avoid these guys!

I received a call and an email from a customer service representative with Schuelke Plumbing regarding my Yelp review. I responded to the customer service representative regarding me Yelp review via email. I haven't had a chance to speak with the person yet.

Once again, Juanito called to say when he expected to arrive. He showed up early, greeted me like an old friend, discussed the maintenance of our patio drains and went to work. Juan and his assistant extracted several nails and staples from our roof replacement, as well as a lot of dirt and tree roots from the drains. This was our 1st annual proactive snaking of the 23 drains. It went great, they were finished in under an hour. Juanito & Schuelke Plumbing again exceeded our expectations. Brittany also called several days before our appointment to confirm the time & date so no mixups, thanks so much.

Schuelke also saved our butts last July as our other house was waiting to close escrow but an old furnace was holding up the closing. Dan sent John, their heating and cooling specialist out the next morning at 7:30 AM. Within two days he had repaired a wall heater and replaced our old furnace. Amazing customer service!!!

we hired them for a leak detection. based on their analysis ($810 charge) we hired a crew to dig a trench / break concrete / pay $1,300 for the repair work. But there was NO leak there. Absolutely wrong. They came back so my plumber can prove that their diagnosis was wrong...the technician would not acknowledge that they missed the mark. They were rude over the phone and ignored that i paid over $2,100 for nothing. They are all talk and reallllly bad service. NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN.

I called on a Sunday and Al was here a couple of hours later. He did a great, fast job and could not have been nicer. I will definitely use them again if I ever need a plumber. I have no idea what was wrong (Al explained it to me, but I didn't really care just wanted it fixed) but the price was right.

Honestly I can't say enough good things about these guys. We had major plumbing issues (plumbing was completely backed up, needed a clean-out drain installed, house was built in 1923 so even needed a new mainline...on & on).
It was time for the work to be done so I was getting quotes...I read other great reviews on Schuelke so decided to get a quote from them. Elmer came out and was great! he was super-honest and explained everything in detail, even when I asked why his quote was literally HALF the cost of the next closest quote (and I got 4 different quotes!) A team of guys came out to do the work and all of them were very courteous and professional and Elmer communicated details to me every step of the way.

They finished the work yesterday (July 28th) and I've already referred them to a friend who needs work done. I'm telling everyone about Schuelke (and NO, I didn't get any sort of discount for giving them a positive review, they don't even know I'm posting this)

Elmer was outstanding! NOT mention nice and honest! Typically companies like this try to up sell and over charge. This guy was polite from beginning to end!

We saw mold on our wall - called Schuelke for the first time and they were here the next day. Mirko investigated the problem, then got his team together and fixed it. They were extremely professional, conscientious, helpful and overall a pleasure to do business with. I would use them again for any plumbing issue we have.

We had a flood at the house, and were looking for an honest plumber. It was a short search once we found Schuelke. They were very professional, and happened to find a bigger problem with the plumbing which they fixed at a fraction of the price I was quoted by other plumbers. I never once got a long winded sales pitch, all I received was top quality service at a low cost. Juan, Byron and the whole team was very accommodating, the owner even personally dropped by twice to make sure I was being treated well. I will recommend them to anyone who asks.
