We were referred to Twin Homes by Home Advisor. I typically like owner operated contractors and handymen. However, Manny was helpful in guiding us through the insurance process, of which we were totally ignorant. We did have some minor issues with the tile guy, but all in all were impressed with how things turned out and how it was handled.

We had a terrible experience with The Twin Home Experts. We hired them to remodel our bathroom after the old plumbing needed to be replaced. The foreman was licensed as a plumber, not a general contractor, and we failed to recognize that in the contract. He was unable to execute our planned remodel. He wanted to run copper pipe up the front of our house where it would be visible as one approached the front door. His workers tarred the bathroom vent outlet on the roof making it another obvious eyesore. They didn't seal the shower properly and had to redo that step. We finally stopped the job when they wanted to pull up the shower tile because they had laid it so unevenly. The foreman acknowledged the poor workmanship and they were willing to forgive the rest of the bill ($12,000) on the condition that we would never speak about our experience. We declined to sign this second contract and the owner, Jim Schuelke, threatened to turn us in to collections. We foolishly paid the contract before consulting a lawyer. Then we hired someone else to finish the remodel. We paid more than twice the expected amount to remodel our bathroom because of (1) our failure to scrutinize the initial contract, (2) our failure to seek legal counsel prior to paying the bill, (3) the workers' incompetence, and (4) the owner's lack of integrity. As a result, our family was displaced from our home for weeks and it will take months or years for us to repay our debt.

They fit me in the same day and were amazing on the phone. They came in and put 2 shutoff valves to my shower which helped me out a ton. The prices were great and Manny got the work done in a very timely fashion. He was very polite and came with solutions not just questions. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great service.

After Manny provided me a quote to replace 50 feet of old sewer line he got started the next day. He came out and had a crew of at lease 3 people digging. They did all the digging by hand. The crew was professional and worked the entire time. The work area was clean and taped off so the residents of the apartment did not fall into the ditches. At night Manny covered the ditches with plywood to provide additional safety. The project took three days. Manny did the work as quoted. He installed new pipe and additional clean outs for serviceability later.

You must know that I live in California and I did everything with Manny via phone. Many called me twice daily and send me photos to my phone showing progress of the entire job... AMAZING!!!! He sent me photos every day showing where he was with the work and what he had done that day. At the end of the job he sent me photos of the finished work and how they restored everything back to normal. He even sent me video of the project and sewer camera. My residents were complimentary of him as well. They said he was very professional and kept everyone informed of progress daily.

BTW... Manny (Twin Home Experts) provided me with the most competitive proposal. He was more competitive than spraying in a liner, bursting and direct replacement. After the project I got a new sewer line (NEW not a patch job), new clean outs, and a warranty.

If you don't call Twin Home Experts (Manny) to get a quote you wont know what truly good service is at a competitive price.
