Recommended Customer Reviews

Made an insurance claim and was told to wait for a call in two days. Knights called me in less than two minutes and schedule a same day appointment . Technician Carlos was very friendly and knowledgeable. He worked fast and made sure everything was working and that we were satisfied.

Stay away from this business! Front office is rude and has terrible customer service!
A warranty company assigned them to us, Carlos came out and was friendly but couldn't help as it was a Kohler faucet.
I call Kohler to order the part and they said a new faucet would be mailed out mid November. I left a message for the plumber and said to call me back if there were any issues. I went into an appointment and when I came out there was a message from the shining plumber that the ticket cannot be open for longer than 30 days, and it will need to be closed. I quickly called the office and said that I did not want to close the ticket, especially since I still had over two weeks left to resolve the issue. The manager said that he'd already closed it, and it cannot be reopened! I did them a courtesy informing them of the situation, and they took the opportunity to close the job as repaired, not wait for 30 days, pocketing the $125 service fee! Side note- Kohler actually delivered my faucet early! With 10 days left on the ticket, which I can't reopen and now that it states it's completed. I would have to hire my own plumber as it is now an ""install"" which the office offered to do if I paid them again! Nope! Giving my $ to an honest business!

Carlos came and made the leak worse in my bathroom. He put in some plastic piece that was wrong. We had a home inspection that afternoon and he said this company is a sham. Now we have Bonney plumbing here and they said the same thing about the work Carlos did wrong. Wish the home warranty had better companies under their contract.

My home warranty people sent someone from Shining Plumbing Knights to fix a leaky kitchen faucet. They were quick to respond to the request and schedule to have someone come out the next day (and gave a 4 hour window of arrival). The person ""fixed"" the issue by tightening some screws inside then went off on his way. A few days later, the faucet began leaking again. I called Shining Plumbing Knights directly (which happened to be a Saturday). They did not pick up, so I left a message. They never called back.
I figure that I probably just need to replace the faucet at this point, so I won't bother to continue to call them to ""fix"" the issue again. But, pretty bad that they can't be bothered to call back. And, the rest of the reviews on here don't make it seem worthwhile to continue pursuing them.

Worst plumbing company. Extremely Lazy, plumber not able to touch caulk? Isn't that part of what a plumber can do? Stay away from this company. It will take you 3 months to get their job done because they want you to do everything, remove the caulk, move this plastic away from the valve, take a picture of everything you have done - SO THEY CAN INSTALL THE PART THEY NEED TO INSTALL. They probably would want you to hold the screws if you give them the chance!

Best service ever. Definitely recommend for anyone needing plumbing services. Friendly and very knowledgeable.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I requested them through American Home Shield. They had come out and done work for me so I thought I could trust them. My hot water heater (17 years old) went out. Last year they replaced the pilot assembly. This last time they replaced the gas valve, but the replacement never worked. They wouldn't come back. They lied to American Home Shield stating to the escalation department that they told me a part had to be ordered, and test the escalation department repeated that to me as if I was not being patient. It WAS A LIE!!!!! Their technician (Carlos) told me no other parts could be ordered and that the water heater would have to be replaced. I don't blame Carlos. I blame their office. They wouldn't respond to phone calls or emails from AHS. When they finally responded they sent a report stating the water heater failed but wouldn't give a reason why, so American Home Shield transferred me to another contractor who came out and replaced the water heater within a few days. I believe they didn't want a technician at my place working on an issue that would take a few hours, which would cause them to lose other calls. Maybe it's more money to have several calls over a 2.5 to 3 hr window than to have one call for that long. They should never have accepted the service call if they couldn't do it. They shouldn't have the right to string a customer along. I felt like my hands were tied behind my back. I couldn't move forward. With all the money I paid AHS (I have their top-tier service level), I was not prepared to pay for the expense out of pocket while still paying them to do nothing. The sad part is I have had Carlos and Jamal out. Both plumbers did a good job and were kind and professional, but the folks working in their front office are another story. My next complaint will be with the BBB.

Had a water heater installed a month or more ago still haven't recieved a permit or inspection.

Jamil came out within the window- he did a great job and went out of his way to clean up. I really appreciated them fitting me in and sending someone so knowledgeable and respectful. Thank you!!

I had 2 plumbing jobs and my warranty company assigned this plumbing company. These guys put the blame on (mis)usage and incorrectly mention that the pop-up assembly rod is missing. They did not bother to see that the rod was hanging below the sink. They never corrected the diagnosis after multiple calls. I got a plumber outside the warranty and he fixed the problem in one fourth of the estimate these guys provided. I will stay away from this plumbing company.
