Recommended Customer Reviews
Terrible customer service and zero respect for their customer's time. Totally unreliable.
Water heater went out and our home warranty connected us with The Right Guys.
Was contacted by the Right Guys and given a time window of 1 - 3 pm the next day for an evaluation.
2:45 pm rolls around and we call to check in b/c we had other commitments that day that we scheduled around their visit.
The guy answering the phone wasn't much help and told us that the guy was probably running behind and would ""probably"" be there in about 30 minutes. Fine... delays happen.... But we're disappointed that they didn't provide us any update.... But whatever....
30 minutes pass and now i'm in a situation where i either need to reschedule my other commitments or hurry so that i do not miss the Right Guys.
Luckily my wife was able to cover so i ran out and came back.... Still no one or no update at 4:15. So about an hour and a half since our last check in.
Called The Right Guys back at 4:15 pm to see what was going on and assuming they would be closing at 5 pm.
The guy on the phone caught an attitude and began lecturing me how he had just spoken to us 15 minutes ago and he already said they were running behind....
So i had to explain the timeline we have been dealing with and how they have missed their appointment and more importantly.... Provided NO currently updates... forcing us to call and check in. He showed zero signs of caring so things escalated as i questioned whether they even cared and if they were even capable of doing the job. I asked if they were going to do the work or if i need to find someone else.
Well... he decided to just give super generic excuses.... We're human.... People run behind sometimes.... Blah blah blah. He didn't care....
I asked him how much longer and he said within the hour.
I asked him how does he know that and why would i believe him and he basically showed that he was just making stuff up to get off the phone... which is why his estimates were off all day and meant nothing.
Rather than providing any kind of customer service... he chose to be argumentative and deflect any responsibility. He showed that they have no standards when it comes to time and accountability.
Also i found it convenient that he said his guy would be there in an hour when it was 4:15 pm and they close at 5 pm.... Meaning i would not be able to call again if he didn't show up.
I told him that i was reporting all of this to the home warranty company as companies like this make the warranties look bad. He continue to say nonsense and want to argue and play ""last word"" with me.... It was pointless arguing so my hope was to get away from these clowns and get a different company to handle the repairs.
Contacted home warranty and share my experience. They agreed to cancel with the Right Guys and finds us a new company to work with.
Maybe the best part tho.... Their guy FINALLY shows up at my house at 6 pm (so another 45 minutes late based on the last estimate). We had already cancelled and apparently that wasn't even communicated to their guy in the field.
This company actually handled the previous time that my water heater went out and they were an unreliable nightmare the first time. We had to harass them to get them to show up and were slow and unreliable then.... But eventually got things done. So i guess nothing has changed.
I would avoid them and i'm actually super disappointed in the home warranty company b/c i provided negative feedback about the Right Guys the first time around.... But they continue to contract through them.
I also got feedback from the new service company about what a terrible job The Right Guys did on the previous install....
The sediment trap was incorrectly installed and the pressure valve line was twisted and bent. So basically they did a poor job with the installation as well as being rude, unprofessional, and unreliable.
The guy handling the phones honestly shouldn't have a job interacting with people. But whatever... this is the last i'll deal with these people so they might as well keep him.
Adrienne S.I wish I could give this company NO STARS because they certainly don't deserve anything. I cannot believe I'm even taking the time to write a review about these folks but it has to be done. If I could save other people from having to deal with this company then I will be that superhero. You're welcome. Where to begin. Our water heater was leaking so our home warranty sent this company out to take a look. First of all, they were supposed to come out between the hours of 8a -10a for inspection. 10a rolls around and there is no sign of anyone. I never received a phone call letting me know they're running late. Nothing! I ended up calling the company to get an idea what the status was and when someone would be able to come by. I had already taken time off of work and was supposed to go to my job later in the day. When I called the person on the other line was very rude, and could not find my name in their system. After trying to
Man -Splain the reasoning he then proceeds to tell me that someone will be stopping by within the next 10 minutes. When the guy finally arrives at my home, he was extremely rude! he was immediately rolling his eyes at me and he barely spoke. He was at my home for less than five minutes took some pictures and immediately said the water heater needed to be replaced and he didn't know when he was going to be able to come back over to install. When I tried asking him some questions he was instantly annoyed and once again rolled his eyes at me. He left and mumbled how somebody will get in contact with me. Mind you when he left he failed to mention that he turned the hot water completely off. So the inspection took place on Tuesday and he doesn't come back out again until today being Thursday. When he arrived.... Again this dude had a frown on his face and was rolling his eyes.. He points at my car that's in the driveway as to tell me that it needs to be moved but of course, no words come out of his mouth just him barking orders through his body language. Then he comes inside my garage and starts moving stuff around. if he had told me when he was here two days before that he would need the area cleared out so it's easier for him to get to. I would've gladly done that, but he never did so here he is again pointing and he looks frustrated and irritated.. he clearly did not want to be there to do his job. my thing is I don't want him here either, but just do your job and move on.... Usually people will give you an ETA as far as how long they're going to be. Not this guy. He just kept huffing and puffing. Finally, my husband comes home thank God because I was over this dude and his crappy attitude. My husband says hi to him and he doesn't reply. My husband is instantly pissed and tells him ""what you can't speak?"" His excuse he doesn't know how to speak English but pronounced everything quite well when he replied. Dude was there for another 30 minutes or so and when he wrapped up, he was so quick to shove some work order paper for my husband to sign and then had the nerve to make a comment that he was done and out of here.... Good! Go! I just can't believe how crappy this company was as a whole from the dispatcher with his bad customer service to the jackass service guy who also had bad customer service skills. So mad that I had to waste two days this week dealing with these folks. Anyway BEWARE!!!
Vivian L.Reliable. They are fairly easy to work with. I went through my insurance. Getting ahold of them via phone wasn't too bad.
My Home Warranty chose them to repair my Heating system (Water Sourced Heat) and they assessed after 10 minutes that my entire unit needed to be replaced, with modifications, at the cost of over $5K, estimated over $3K in modifications. Of course warranty would only cover up to $1425 of charges. So, we contacted another company who actually had our unit up and running ""over the phone"" going through a few steps. Then came out and cleaned the coils in the unit, stating that was all that was needed, at the cost of $348 dollars. Do not use this company as they are a reputable business. They are taking advantage of both the warranty companies and the customers.
Don't let these people near your equipment. The tech wired a brand new compressor wrong when he installed it and fried the whole damn thing. I had to buy a new unit. Cost me thousands, plus weeks without AC. Steve or Jake or whoever he is will give you a fake name every time he answers the phone. Just insane these people are in business
The Right Guys HVAC and Plumbing were contracted by my Home Warranty company to replace a dripping kitchen water faucet for my water purification system. They came out to diagnose the problem. They returned a week later to replace the faucet. The faucet was replaced using a brushed nickel faucet not a chrome faucet like the old faucet and the other faucet on my kitchen island. I requested they replace the faucet with a chrome one like the other faucet they removed. They refused my request. I contacted my home warranty company and was told the faucet is ""comparable"". So now I have mismatched faucet on my island. I am not pleased. Lesson learned:
Be careful with choosing home warranty companies and home repair companies that used cheaper parts rather than replacing with Like parts. I will not use this company again. My home warranty company contract is ending in October. I will not renew my contact with them.
Do Not Use This Company! They were dispatched through my home warranty company in January 2023 to replace the water heater. The installer performed substandard work. The water heater was leaning, the straps were not bolted in, and he left a mess on my epoxy garage floor. They scheduled an inspector 2 months after the installation which was 30 days after my warranty with the home warranty company expired. The inspector did not pass the installation due to the issues stated above. I had to contact Right Guys to schedule an appointment. They sent the same installer out, after I told them not to. This time he destroyed the stand the water heater sits on, only tightened the top strap, left another mess on my epoxy floor and left a gaping hole in the pan under the water heater. The inspector was again sent out and again did not approve the installation. Again, I had to contact Right Guys to have everything repaired to pass the inspection. They sent a restoration company out to provide an estimate to repair the stand. The restoration company rep informed me that they only repair water damage which this clearly was not. I contacted Right Guys again to repair the stand and correct the issues in order for it to pass inspection. They are now giving me the run around, telling me the restoration company was to come out to provide an estimate. I again told them the restoration company did come out but did not provide that service because it was not due to water damage because it was caused by the installer of the water heater. Seven months later, they are now blocking my calls. Do Not Use This Company!
Timothy A.This company was assigned by my home warranty company for a hot water heater rust in water problem. Came out Friday and said that I needed to replace my expansion tank for the issue. They did that repair even though I didn't think it was going to fix what my issue was. Overnight, the water heater started leaking. Called them this morning for help to get this problem solved. The person at the dispatch was not helpful in expediting this process and gave me the runaround. Mentioned they're probably booked all day today and cannot come out until Monday. Which meant I would have no hot water for the whole weekend most of Monday. However, later in the conversation with them, they said they could maybe make it happen today if I pay for the repair out-of-pocket. As in not through the home warranty claim Huh????
After three hours of back-and-forth calls with The Right guys HVAC & plumbing and my home warranty I have a new company coming out to hopefully fix this problem. TheRight Guys stopped answering their phone and would not call back The Right guy's HVAC & plumbing are not responsive and do not care to help fix the problem that they might have created.
Do not call them. If a home warranty company referred you to them ask for a different company
Queen S.Antonio did a great job very professional. He looked at both of the a/c he said they needed freon . Thank you Antonio
I suggest you stay far away from this company. I use this company through a referral from old republic home warranty. They always sent out different repair people that did not know what they were supposed to do. They did not finish their job. Very unprofessional company.
