I can't even believe how great this experience has been. Ted is a professional through and through. We needed a cabinet knocked out and dishwasher installed. I had one business tell me it couldn't be done and another quote more than double. Ted responded quickly and was attentive. This job was more extensive than we and he originally anticipated which caused him to stay late. He did not complain and worked above and beyond to get the job done. Honestly stop look at other businesses, Ted's your guy. I genuinely look forward to working with him on another project in the future!

I had a great experience with The Response Team. Ted responded quickly and was able to fix my issues the same day. He fixed my pocket door which was off the hinges and caulked the small holes the door had. He re-screened, straightened the frame and put my screen back on for my sliding door to the backyard. He also did me the courtesy of cleaning my AC filter, popping back my window screen that had fallen off and returned when my pocket door popped out and taught us how to manage the door if it pops off and how to use it properly so it won't continue to give us issues. Yes seems reliable, reasonably priced and genuine. I would definitely recommend and I'll be calling The Response Team next time I need a home repair. Thanks, Ted!

If you are looking for a company that's reliable, punctual, and good at their craft then this company is for you. Ted was extremely kind and did a wonderful job staining our front door and working on the trim line of our home. We needed a quick fix and got a good deal. Quality does not match price charged. Also, I experienced something similar as another yelper, over charged for some things. In my experience, hire experts for what you need done. Got plumbing issues, hire a plumber and so on. You'll save money and time.

I had a cabinet fall off in my garage, we called several people to get quotes and to get it fixed. After no shows and ghosting in communications from everyone else, Ted showed up to check out the job and give me a quote. He actually showed up when he said he would and did the job properly. I work in the crafts so I know when someone is BS'ing and he did the job with integrity not cutting corners. I would certainly use him again and most likely will as I have other projects in my house.


We just had Ted come back and do some work in our house that we had been putting off since we bought it. Half of the recessed lighting in our kitchen didn't work, we had some light fixture we having in our entry and decorative pole in our living room that we didn't not like. Once again Ted showed up 15 minutes early each day, was polite and did the work right. We will be using him again for sure.

Problem-solver. That's one good way to describe Ted and his Response Team. Another way is fast, friendly, and patient.

I encountered this gentleman via Yelp, looking for someone to install a dyer vent from the laundry room out through the outside wall of a home.

He appeared to do this with ease, and professionalism. (Pictures attached).

But that's not all. He also realized a few things that weren't right with the laundry set up, from improper lengths of hoses and possibly blocked nozzles, to challenging space requirements and safety troubleshooting. He quickly put his mind to work and helped address or solve each issue, showing dedication and awareness as to the overall goal of the project, not just the one piece he was there to do. So when he asked me to leave him a Yelp review, I happily obliged.

Ted did another outstanding job for me at my six unit condos. He replaced a garbage disposal and repaired outside door frames that were damaged from moisture and termite.

He is trustworthy gentleman with full of integrity.

Mediocre work + dishonesty = not recommended

Last month we had Ted from the Response team install a bathroom ventilation fan. He charged $250 labor and & $134 parts. What we got is a fan that is not properly sealed around the edges--causing moisture to leak into the attic, and a loose grill that is always at the risk of falling down. This is all because Ted didn't bother to modify the opening in the ceiling dry wall. See picture.

Normally we would call Ted and ask him to come back and fix it. But we can't, because Ted also overcharged us for the parts. We asked him to purchase a $134 fan at Home Depot. But once at the store, he called to say that another unit was more suitable. We agreed, but at the end he still charged us $134. A later online search revealed that Home Depot's price for the unit he bought is $89, not $134. Ted pocketed the difference. Would you ask such a handyman back?

Innocent mistake? I don't think so. When I later ask for the receipt through texting (which I should have done before he left, my bad), Ted first responded evasively, then went silent.

In short, exercise extreme caution when dealing with the Response Team. Or better yet, don't deal with them at all!

Ted is an amazing handyman who has knowledge and skills to fix ANYTHING. He messaged me back within 30 minutes after I contacted him on Yelp and came to my place on the same day to give me a quote. It was Sunday evening.

He fixed (a)
1: garbage disposal that hasn't functioned for a couple of years
2: ceiling lights in the kitchen (electrical issue)
3: outlets with no power in the bathroom
4: chipped window frame in the bathroom
5. hole in the wall

I am very satisfied with his service and I will definitely contact him again when I am ready to upgrade my flooring and install blinds.

Ted's was awesome. They are really busy so make sure you try to call them early. Ted came out on his day off to service my house. Had to redo many little things in the bathroom such as the vent, window, tub, sinks, etc. He also serviced our common area in our small community. Would use him for our next projects. Highly recommend!
