The Pump Guys

A few weeks ago I decided to look for a plumber to fix the broken and leaking faucet in my bathroom. I looked around the internet and found the pump guys. I saw they had good reviews and relatively good rates so I decided to call them in order to schedule an evaluation/repair. The man, named Eric, answered quickly in what sounded like his motorcycle or loud car. I ignored his ill and informal manner of speaking and explained my situation. He said he'd arrive in a couple of hours. I waited. He hadn't arrived. After giving him what felt like hours after our scheduled meeting time, I decided to call him to see where he was. It's honestly sick I had to do this because they're supposed to be a business, not just one poor time-management-having man. So I called him and explained to him how late he was and how I was extremely unimpressed by his irresponsibility. He replied ""Alright. I'll be there. I forgot."" I replied ""Ok arrive by 6 I have to be at a meeting at 7."" He then replied ""Oh and by the way, I am going to have to charge you extra for being late"". I WAS FURIOUS. How could he charge me extra for tardiness when it was by his own incentive that he was going to be late?! I overlooked this and waited for him to come and fix the faucet, as the faucet was driving me insane. When he arrived, he knocked on my door like an animal and shouted ""PLUMBER!"". I was in shock. There was no explanation that was running through my mind for his blatant insolence. I opened the door, showed him where the faucet was, he took his tools out and fixed it, and we said our goodbyes. When I walked into the bathroom after he left (and locked the front door) I was assaulted with the gnarly visual of an entire feces excrement in my toilet. He didn't even have the dignity to flush. Being at the end of my patience, I was relieved that the whole situation had come to an end until a couple days later, the faucet started leaking again. Despite my own tremendous anger & repulsion, I dialed this man's number with the intention of having him come over to fix the faucet (right this time), until I realized that he had BLOCKED MY NUMBER. I am never, EVER going to be calling this sorry excuse for a plumber nor will I ever recommend him to someone I even mildly admire. I suggest everyone who's read this review to do the same. Unacceptable.

Was very responsive and professional. Responded to my inquiry right away and quickly provided a very reasonable quote. Texted to let me know when he would be arriving the next morning, and showed up when he said he would. Had all of the necessary equipment in his truck. Ultimately couldn't fix my issue but stayed and did everything he could to try and diagnose it. Would definitely use again.

Very responsive and truly wanted to solve the problem. Tried hard to diagnose. He couldn't fix it, and that is ok. Before he left we asked him to shut off the water going into the dishwasher so the leaking would definitely stop while we got it replaced. He said he would. Asked for payment immediately and continued calling and texting every few minutes asking for it. We paid within the hour btw. Days later the leak continued. We asked if he had shut off the water and his answer changed to ""not sure."" Turns out it is not possible to shut off the water in that direction so we had to call the super and shut off the water into the entire apartment. I mean if he had simply told us that was the case (he couldn't shut off the water), we would have avoided the additional leakage which went on for days. Good effort but weird billing and the actions here caused considerable unnecessary hassle.

All bad things happen on holidays or weekends. Our kitchen drain got clogged night before new years eve. Our super tried to unclog it but couldn't. He recommended a plumbing company and they came and couldn't fix the drain. So now this is the night of new years eve and I reached out to every plumber on yelp. Erisaul was one of the first to respond and commit to coming on a holiday (new years day). He was super quick in assessing what the real problem was (vent drain was the one that was clogged and not the waste drain). The equipment he had was also way more professional grade than the other plumber so it definitely goes to show Erisaul knows what he's doing. Highly recommend and will tell my super to refer him to others in the building for plumbing issues going forward.

Wanted to thank company for resolving our problem
We called after hours for a plumber when they arrive they told us we needed a company to service hour sewer ejector pump
We found the Pump guys on Yelp we schedule service and they were our house within the hour
The mechanic troubleshoot the issue which a switch failure thankfully they had part on the truck
They resolved issue quickly and charge a fair price for after hours we highly recommend this company

Thought we had a sewer line stoppage after calling a drain cleaning company they told me I had sewer ejector pumps that were not working, the company referred me to the pump guys they showed up within the hour resolve the issues for a fair price and told me about maintenance program to avoid this situation again will recommend this company
