Since moving into our home in 2006, we had been trying to locate a plumbing company that would respond quickly to any plumbing issues we had. Recently, we had an issue with our master shower and contacted The Polite Plumber. Kim responded immediately and kept in constant contact with us throughout the process! They scheduled the service call when it was convenient for US, not THEM. They gave us a very reasonable quote for the job and did not perform any service until we were satisfied, which we were from the beginning! They arrived when they said they would, they fixed the problem and left the area as if they had never been there! Cannot say enough good things about this company! Thank you Kim and everyone at The Polite Plumber! You now have lifelong customers in us!

This was the first time we have used this company, and we were extremely satisfied. The technician (Aaron) called ahead as promised and was even earlier than the original time. The job entailed a little more than we originally thought, but all the work quoted was absolutely necessary. Aaron was extremely cordial, efficient, and professional. We are very pleased with the finished job, and without question will use The Polite Plumber again, when necessary.

Never again! To fix what was considered a ""minor toilet rebuild""...at the cost of $57 for parts and $247 for labor, is absolutely ridiculous. That's over $300 for twenty minutes worth of work. Plus I had to be home three times in order for the job to be done correctly. First the chain was cut too short, next the tank did not fill correctly so each time it was used one had to flush twice. Now I am crossing my fingers it was done correctly so I do not have to deal with this company again. When I questioned the owner, Willie, about the cost of the labor I was told it is expensive to run a business and pay a receptionist so that's why their prices are a bit high. (The receptionist called twice to schedule an appointment that had already been set.)

I don't usually write a review, but if this can prevent someone from feeling the way I do after using them..mission accomplished. I'll stop here, yet I wonder if the same would have happened had I been a male.

Totally dissatisfied by the way the problem was handled. Spoke over phone to the agent and put in a call to clean a clogged drain in the basement and leak in the bathroom due to water backing up which got fixed on its own before I placed the call.
As a preventive maintenance , I put in a call to get it cleared in case it happened again.
While on phone with the agent ,I clearly asked them to get a snake and auger and have the respective toold to clean the basement sewer pipes which I was assured that they had a TRUCKLOAD of tools always but would have to shell out $57.00 towards service call which I agreed ,refundable if work was performed. Asked about a $30 coupon on valpak which on the phone was mentioned could be applied , but when the person came in said could NOT be applied.
Nevertheless the guy shows up promptly and ""politely "" looks at everything based on what had happened in the past and says that he needs a snake for the main drain pipe and his is broken so he does not carry it
Now they should not have charged me a service charge since he couldnot render the service due to him not carrying the tools.
After going back and forth and calling the number listed they agreed to give me to a referral plumber only to charge me $494 for the same.
I said this was a rip off, when they did not have the tools and quote me an outrageous rate plus a service charge.for a preventive maintenance, and the guy menancingly asks me if I cursed at him which I did not.
I paid the cheque of $ 57 /- and vow never to use the services of this company.

Very nice company, they were timely and very courteous. They seem to have done a good job with what I needed handled on such a short notice. For that they get an ""A"" rating.
However their prices are a bit over market and approximately two months after the job was completed I get a letter from this company stating that I have to pay $98 to the town to close a permit. I have never dealt with a contractor with any trade that billed the customer more money months after the work was done. The price they charged for the original work was more than enough to cover these fees. Pricing and hidden charges tot he customer, for this they get an ""F"".

Had a leak in kitchen. Turns out it was water pressure problem. Tony from polite plumber was very friendly and took care of the problem very quickly.

JOB: I was looking for a plumber to come in and re-route a heating pipe I discovered in a wall I was modifying to create a ""pass-through"" from the Kitchen to the Family room. I knew the pipe needed to be cut and rerouted as well as the heating system needed to be purged.

Willy showed up on time. He showed up just in time before the last plumber was leaving. They talked for 10 minutes or so... Probably to discuss the job IMO.

Willy used the term ""Magic"" quite a few times describing how the job was going to get completed. He would not quote me on the spot. He said he had to refer to his book of prices.

Willy told me he would email me a quote before the end of the day. Needless to say I received the quote that evening after I emailed him asking for it. He split the charges which I asked for. Here was his quote: (Don't even ask what is the 99.00 for the Home Care Club is for. Willy never replied when I asked him.)

I find it curious that Willy came in just under the other Plumbers quote. The other plumber quoted me $800.00.

I have used this company several times. Extremely polite, like the name says, over the phone. Unlike many contractors, they provided an exact time range for arrival and called when he was on the way.

Upon arrival, Paul scoped out the job and gave a quote. The Polite Plumber runs a lot of coupon specials which you can Google and this chopped $30 off the price. The price was a little high but the work performed is excellent quality. I would rather pay a little more for a plumber that knows what he's doing versus one that doesn't.

He identified the issue, showed it to me, then fixed it. He also replaced a kitchen faucet in a small fraction of the time it would have taken me to do it.

These are my go-to plumbers. You can't go wrong with these guys.

I was very very pleased with this company. THey answered the phone and made an appointment right away and actually showed up. I have had bad experiences with other plumbers that don't show up.
Kim was very pleasant and helpful and James came on time and was very courteous. the pricing was very fair.

Employees are great and very Polite, but their prices are a RIP OFF. I was having intermitting water problems, could not figure out what was causing the problem so they changed out the pressure switch and charge me $297 to replace. The next morning no water again. Their prices are a 'RIP OFF'. Used another service and they fixed the problem at a reasonable cost. If you like to spend a lot of money then use them, they will not see me again.
