I have a commercial style kitchen sink that got a leak from the hot water tap. True Value sent me to these guys since they did not know enough about my type of sink. Came in and was greeted by a lovely black lab. The guy who helped me knew immediately why type of sink I had and what part I needed. Showed me what was wrong with my old one and put the new one together for me. In and out in under 15 minutes with the correct part and sink back up and running. Will go back again for sure.

I had a pretty easy repair, that was covered under my home warranty. One of the unions connecting to my water recirculating pump had a very slow leak. I can't remember the plumbers name, but he was kind, and unsweated the existing brass couplers, and replaced them new new shark bite couplers, which have been leak free since. I use FNHW, and they took care of it all after the $75 copay.

I was worried initially based on the reviews here, but had a great result with my small job.

One of the company's drivers was behind me and my 16-year-old new driver. He tailgated her when she was obeying the speed limit. When she did not turn left as quickly as he wanted due to an oncoming vehicle, he then honked and flipped her off. I will never use this company if this is indicative of the character of employees.
Update: The owner, Doug, responded to my call. He claimed that my daughter slammed on her brakes nearly causing an accident. She did not and, if he had an issue, it only further validates my assertion that he was following too closely. He also threatened to go to the police. I hope that he does. I would love to discuss his aggressive driving and road rage. There is a reason that this lousy person and company have so many 1 star reviews.

I had a great experience with The Plumbing Works. At the estimate, Jim was truthful and very specific to charges and timelines. He was even honest in telling me to save my existing tub, which he could have made a higher bid as I was in the market for a whole bath replacement. I also used their recommendation for Jeff Plueard Const. to do the surround and was happy with them as well. They were timely, very affordable (finishing under what was estimated) and extremely friendly.

So i don't normally leave reviews but this place and their professionalism/customer service is atrocious.

I went throufhmy homewarranty about sinks being clogged well Doug apparently the owner calls me asks me about the work order which apparently was only for the kitchen sink and not the bathroom sinks, tells me to call my home warranty and have them update the order as he will only do whats on the order.

So i call my home warranty and update the orser. Doug then calls me back about the new order and said that he couldnt possibly fit all that in the friday appointment and that itd have to be for monday intead. I said i didnt know about switching the appointment to monday and to let me speak with my husband well life got in the way and i wasnt able to call them back thinking well thatll just keep my friday appointment for the kitchen sink.... welp WRONG. that cancelled all appointments.

I contacted the office today when i hadnt heard anything and the appointment window was near an end i got a rude as hell dispatcher DJ who cut me off during my question and explanation raised his voice said that not what doug said and i advised i didnt care for a he said she said situation to which he raised his voice called me rude and that no one would be coming out EVER. i advised i wanted to speak to the manager when i was ingormed doug owned the spot. I asked for doug to call me back.
Doug calls the call is cordial and he calls me a liar and that he already called my home warranty yeaterday to advise of the hassle of the situation. And that he aggreed with DJ that the job was too much hassle to come out and disconnected the call.

The is the rudest most unprofessional company i have ever had the unfortunate luck of dealing with.

I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. If i could there would be no stars in my review...what so ever.

I'm going to ignore the fact that you're saying sorry for the loss of my grandfather because we all know you're actually not sorry.
You stated that you talked with my grandfather to schedule service to fix the leak with the toilet and had told him to call the home warranty company which is incorrect because the service fee would've been $60 and we could've called it good. Just like the first time. And the previous one time WAS under warranty, hence why we called you back. YOU HAD DONE THE WORK!
And yes it does state at the bottom of your invoices that there is a 30 day grace period for labor but what it doesn't state is that your work goes to crap at 45 days which is what most of the yelp people are saying.
You're also stating that you've been to my house three times all together but only show two invoice number.
The rest to your statement just shows that you were trying to speak to my grandfather like he was an imbecile. And your tech was late and you didn't call that morning so that's all a lie. (Most of everything you stated was a lie)
Now referring to invoice #24918 ""supply leaking at Tank connection whenever it was bumped"" I don't know a lot about toilets but what I do know is that I can't reach a lot of things that can be bumped and if it is bumped why does it just all of a sudden leak? Seems to me that would be shotty work. And how convenient it would fall after your 30 day grace. Your tech didn't write down that the original supply was installed incorrectly but it was said to me and my grandfather. And my grandfather was happy to pay the $95 an hour that he had agreed to but your tech was not here for an hour.
Let's see your next paragraph says that you had many phone calls with my grandfather but that is also a lie because you stopped all communication with him even after he sent you a letter that you never responded to.
Clearly you're still not understand the point of this yelp post. The point of this yelp post is to show that you tried to bully an elderly man into paying you money that was not agreed upon and now you're still trying to defend your crap work and your crap mindset. And if I am incorrect and you not being a second generation owner then your business is crap and treat customers like crap. All of your business comes from this home warranty company that I made a complaint to them and for them to have a look at your yelp responses that you should probably take a look at as well since you have a 2.5 star rating you obviously have more work to do.
You sent me and my grandfather to collections over $100!!!! And when my grandfather was alive you threaten to put a lien on the home and send it into foreclosure over $100!!
And actually it says on my invoice ""no guarantee on parts or labor until invoice is paid in full"" which proves that it was your original techs fault that my toilet continued to leak.
