Horrible, horrible service. I used them to look at my jetted tub. The gentleman they sent out had absolutely no clue what he was doing and seemed upset that he had to go down the stairs to get to the tub, stating ""I'm not good with stairs."" He had to take insulation out and unscrew some boards. after working for only about 1/2 hour, he said he had to go back to the shop and do some research. he put the insulation into garbage bags and put those back into the gaps and didn't screw the boards back. I assumed, after his research, that he would be back. I called multiple times and no one would call me back. Finally I reached someone who said they would not be able to help me. I was using our home warranty and asked the gentleman if they would go back out to fix what they had at least undone, but the man said "" we wouldn't get paid, so no."" I have never had such terrible customer service. Do not use them for any problem, unless you want to have more of a mess on your hands! Plain horrible!

The Plumbing Works was contracted through my home warranty company to diagnose and repair a slab leak near my kitchen. Two days after getting the job a man named Jim comes to my house, takes his $60 deductable, knocks a hole in my wall and makes a dent in my foundation with some kind of drill instead of a saw.

After getting that far, he basically backs away and tells my wife he won't be able to do the job, and that he didn't even have the tools to complete it anyway. He says he'll reach out to my warranty company to let them know that he can't do the job, then leaves.

I call him the next day and ask about scoping the pipe or other avenues of testing for a leak. Putting off a snotty tone, Jim tells me he wished they had that sort of, ""Nano-technology."" Jim then admitted that his company is only a two man crew that mainly specialized in frail line stoppages and clearing. Him assured me the hole in my wall and dent in my foundation would be repaired by the next plumber that would come out. That just wasn't true.

I later find out that this guy billed my warranty company upwards of $170 for I don't know what.

Do yourselves a favor and find someone more reliable. The guy lacks basic customer service skills and based on the little work performed, I have doubts in his ability to tackle mediocre jobs.

If I could I would not give the a one star. In the past we had this company do work for us and it was fine. But now they a new boss and this business is the worst I have
seen. Their customer service is very bad. Their plumber does shoddy work and must have failed plumbing school. When I complained and took pictures of the bad work to the boss called me a liar and told me the work looked okay to him. If you want a bad job with a plumber that jerry-rigs the job hire them.

Please read this review before you think about using this business. First off I want to state that I am not a complainer nor am I the type of person who would try to hurt someone's business, nor give a bad review that is not deserved. However, my experience with this business is the worst example of disgraceful behavior from a business I have ever experienced.

Initially used these guys to fix leaking toilet, charged $120. A month later toilet is leaking again so call to tell them the problem still exists. Guy comes out tells me thinks it is a blocked mainline and he will check. Doesn't check it (we found out later) and takes 45 minutes to auger the toilet. Even showed us Youtube videos while repairing the toilet. I naively think they will accept responsibility for the existing problem so wasn't concerned on how long it was taking him. Ask plumber if current issue is same as old issue. He is unsure. However, he is sure to then charge me for 1.5 hours work for 45 minutes for a problem that was not fixed first time. WTF??

Call the shop obviously incredibly frustrated and speak to owner, ask him why 1: I am being charged for issue that was not fixed first time, 2: being charged for 1.5 hours when guy was here for 45 mins taking his time in the process. Not once did it seem business owner was interested in listening to my complaint. Only concerned with avoiding responsibility by telling me that problem was unrelated. Give up and tell them they really don't care too much about my business.

Two days later toilet starts leaking again, call the store and the owner again not interested in listening to me, constantly cuts me off and speaks over the top of me. Tells me it is a main line problem and I will have to pay if I want it fixed. I ask him why the plumber diagnosed the problem as the main line but didn't fix it, instead augered the toilet? Owner is dismissive, doesn't care. Then tells me that he doesn't think it is worth his while to help me because I am disappointed with this service. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?

The owner who should care more than anyone about how his customers feel in regards to the service his business provides does not care and actively tells me to go somewhere else.

I am truly shocked that a local, small business owner would see their customers as short-term opportunities and not long-term investments.

Will never let myself be fleeced by these guys again and sincerely hope you use someone else.

I wasn't going to write this review, but when it turned out that one of the faucets they ""fixed"" for our tenant was still having the exact same problem 35 days later, and they wouldn't honor their work, I figured the whole story should be told.

When their ""plumber"" first showed up, he didn't introduce himself or his company, he simply complained about my putting out the cigarette I was smoking to greet him, because he ""would have finished it for me.""

He then took a cigarette butt out of our ashtray, smoked it, and crushed it out on the middle of our front porch leaving a large black ash mark ...4 ft from our conveniently placed ashtray.

He then took off his shoes before coming inside. ""Wait, isn't that a good thing?"" you are likely thinking. And usually, you'd be right! But in this case, he wasn't wearing any socks, and his feet were absolutely filthy.

While working on one of our faucets, he lost a piece on the floor. Rather than finding the part he dropped, he just told us he dropped it, and that we'd ""find it while next time cleaned up.""

All the above aside, it was obvious from the moment he showed up that this man was on drugs, in addition to the alcohol I'll get to later. Whether they were prescription or illegal is unclear, but whatever he was on made his movements slow, his thinking/focus impaired, and his speech incoherent a majority of the time.

He spent no less than 10 minutes just staring at our faucet blankly while resting on the counter.

He constantly tried to avoid doing actual work to make small talk about things he saw around the house, and make inappropriate jokes, including one about having stopped at ""Good Times"" for a beer on the way to our house. It's worthy of note, that judging purely by the smell of beer on his breath, he wasn't joking.

In all honesty, about halfway through, I really started wondering if I was on some kind of hidden camera show. His lack of professionalism was absolutely ridiculous.

When we worked on payment, he didn't know how to use the credit card runner (I had to teach him), and when I asked if they took American Express, he joked that they didn't, so I went for a Visa card, and then he said that yes, they DO take American Express, so we ran that card. Of course, later in the day, I got a call from the shop telling me that they don't take American Express, and they need to use a different card. I was hesitant, because I was still contemplating whether or not to call and complain about the so called plumber they sent, and I don't like giving out credit card info over the phone in the first place. But after being pressured by the guy at the shop, I gave in and gave the Visa to him.

In the end, we paid $247 in labor costs at $90 an hour, for about an hours worth of actual work, we never found the faucet part he lost, and as was mentioned before, one of the other faucets he ""fixed"" is still having the exact same problem it was before.

When I called today to have them come out and fix our tenant's faucet that was never adequately fixed, they wanted to charge for another visit, because we are 5 days past the 30 day warranty. I explained the above details about our experience with the man they sent originally, and that changed nothing. In fact, I was called a liar. ""You didn't bring it up at the time, and there's no notes on the invoice about that."" As if I was going to confront a drunk, drug addled handyman wielding a pipe wrench, so he could pass my complaints about him to his bosses in his own words. Yeah, that sounds safe and reliable, doesn't it? I just wanted our plumbing problems fixed as quick as possible so this guy could get as far away from the house as possible. I tried not to make a big deal of things, and didn't want to see anyone fired because of my complaints, so I didn't bring it up until today, when I found out that the one issue hadn't actually been fixed.

All in all, this company has exercised the worst professionalism, and was the worst experience I've ever had with any skilled trade based company.

These guys obviously have no desire for repeat business. If you have any sense at all, you won't make the same mistake I did in giving them your business for a first time.

A plumber in Yachats told me that our old wall mount toilet could not be repaired because there were no longer parts and I would need a new $600+ toilet. On a whim I went into Plumbing Works with a picture of the toilet and manufacturer. I came out with the part for around $2.00!! I bought a spare. They saved me mega bucks and I really appreciated it.

I seldom write reviews, but I was so impressed with the efficient and professional manner in which the multiple plumbing issues were resolved at an older rental I have in Eugene. Each of the issues was diagnosed quickly, the repairs made just as fast, all while the personable plumbing professional provided tips to avoid plumbing issues in the future. Truly the folks at The Plumbing Works understand there business completely.

Originally had them out to secure a pipe and when they left, the water didn't work. When we called to have them return and fix the issue, they were extremely rude. After finally getting the water to work again, they charged us $90 for the problem they created!

Charged over $300 to install a kitchen sink. (Not sure why it took so long.) Ended up having to return because they refused to properly caulk in the sink the first time. I have used them before, but will call someone else in the future.

I couldn't find a plumbing part for my shower at the local big-box home supply and was referred here. I didn't mind not being greeted, but the person behind the counter provided the most unfriendly customer service I have ever encountered in my life. It was clear he didn't want to help me in the least, didn't look at me, or ever crack a smile. I left swearing I'd never do business there and would rather stand out naked in the rain (in the winter) and take a shower that way than ever give them my business or a penny of my money. After reading the other reviews here I can see that I am not the only person with a negative impression of this unfriendly place. If it's going to kill you to be friendly and try to help people - why be in business in the first place?????
