These guys are simply THE BEST! I'm not one to go ""throwing"" 5 Stars around, without justification. This is my second time interacting with The Plumbing Therapist, on both occasions (two years apart) I needed a Plumber ASAP, both times The Plumbing Therapist's (Mike & Bonney) came to the rescue!
- efficient: no phone tag; they answer promptly & get the ball rolling quickly.
- timely: on time both physically & when there is a need for them to get back to you.
- forward thinking: ""held"" next available appt for me, just in case the water heater needed to be replaced (& it did)
- honesty & integrity: two years ago (also water heater issue, different water heater.. we have 3), Mike could have easily told me it needed replacing, I'd not have known better, especially given age of unit. Turned out to be much easier, less costly repair.
I'd have gone to a big box store (which I hate to purchase unit). Mike made the entire process simple and seamless. Hats Off to The Plumbing Therapist for ANOTHER job WELL DONE!

I met with Mike about a year ago when we first bought our house. It was built in the '60's, so it was in need of some repairs.

Our immediate need was due to a blockage of tree roots and a broken sewer pipe leading out to the main at the street. They worked very hard doing dirty/nasty work to dig out and replace our main line that was several feet deep. That work was over $1,000 and I was happy to pay it to have our toilets working again.

When Mike was out, we talked about future projects - replacing a garage sink, water heater and running new PEX lines to replace the over 60-year-old galvanized pipes. He gave me some rough figures to do the work.

Fast forward several months, and we're ready to do the next phase of work. I've called, left messages, etc. like several of the people on here who're also leaving low ratings. But I don't get a call back to do the work and have had to hire other plumbers.

TL:DR; TPT does good work and are nice people, but they apparently have more work than they can handle.

We had a wonderful experience having Mike install our water heater. The receptionist was responsive. They are a busy family business but they answer calls and schedule free estimates promptly. The price quoted was the price that we paid. Mike was very thorough. The final product speaks for itself. His price beats the prices of other ones that we had quoted. It's hard to find a trustworthy and dependable plumber nowadays. We are so glad to have found The Plumbing Therapist and will definitely recommend them to our friends. and family.

Recommended by someone in my Elk Grove Facebook group. I called and left a message stating the work I needed done. Left my name and phone number at the beginning AND end of the message. My call was never returned. Therefore, my 1 star rating is not based on the work or the plumbers but that either their customer service is awful, or they aren't accepting new business. They may be fantastic, but I wouldn't know.

I have had to call Mike for issues about 6 or 7 times. About 3 of these turned out not to be plumbing problems and Mike never charged me a service call!! Who does that anymore? One time I called him about a problem. He said he could come over after he was done with another job but it would be about midnight when he was done, and would that be ok? I said yes and he was here, spot on at midnight!! That was one of the times that it was not a plumbing issue but a well issue, and he did not charge me a service call. This review is long overdue but I want him to know that I appreciate his work ethic, which is lacking in so many contractors today.

These folks came through for us when we were in a major bind, after a different plumber left us in a lurch. They came out to fix our problem the same day,
for a reasonable price. I also called them recently about a garbage disposal that didn't work, and rather than charging me to send someone out they let me know it was likely an electrical issue that I could fix myself. They've been responsive, reliable and reasonably priced!
