The shutoff valve to my sprinkler system was leaking. It is in a difficult location to fix - above a suspended ceiling adjacent to the top of the basement wall - which is finished with drywall and with a 2 foot wide shelf - actually a 2 foot wide model railroad below the location. It is a large heavy valve on a 1"" diameter copper line. Jeff got the old valve out, somehow, and installed the new one in a very short time. Very neatly done too, no mess. Oh, and the price was very reasonable too!

Jeff had recently also done some work at a relative's house, unblocking the kitchen drain which he also did very quickly, with minimal mess and for a good price.

I'm a single working mom and needed a plumber to come out to the house for a leak. My warranty company advised that this company would call me in 24 hours. 48 hours later I was calling the plumber... I was asking all kinds of questions to find out what time would work for both of our schedules but the answer I kept getting is ""well you'll have to let me know what day works and take the day off"". I was trying to get the latest appointment they had but ""every day is different"" so they couldn't tell me their hours or last appointment time. I felt like I was going in circles and they were too good for my business.

A coworker recommended Jeff, after I had a bad experience with another plumber. Jeff arrived early and completed the job in a timely manner. He seemed very knowledgeable and explained everything that was going on to me. Very reasonably priced especially for the area. Will use again and recommend to friends and family.

2 or 3 years ago he replaced water heater tank. He put extra pipes on it, blocking any chance to drain it. Was very grumpy and emptied old tank on my driveway, staining it with rusty water. Water tank quit working and was assigned to him again by home warranty co. He didn't call so I called him on Monday, claim made on Saturday. One again, surly, said he didn't work on the brand tank HE HAD PUT IN! Called home warranty co and was assigned to Perfect plumbing . Luckily, they lived up to their name and said the tank was placed incorrectly by plumbing phd. Will NEVER even consider this man again.

Jeff was extremely helpful in a stressful situation. He rearranged his schedule and arrived 9am on Monday only to find out his job was much more involved.............he quickly went to work and finished everything. Highly Recommend Jeff and have already started passing his name on to family and friends.

Jeff did a fantastic job of explaining what the problem and fix would be. And he actually had a less expensive solution that worked better than my other bid. He fixed and old tub drain line, and installed a new sink and disposal.

Use PHD in Bradford they will give you five star service,used three times and each time was timely and not stressful,Tina schedules as soon as possible,the techs do a great job no bull or up chargeing, would highly recommend.

Took about 15 minutes from start to finish to fix my toilet, and now it even flushes better.

Only con (and I think this is more with my home insurance company vs. them) is that I never got a call saying when they would be coming here - my home ins. said ""first thing Monday morning"" and indeed, he showed up around 9am.

Consumers Energy had to shut off my gas due to a major gas leak inside my home on a Friday night. Called home warranty company to make a claim and they told me to contact a local company nearby on Saturday. Left two messages with the company and did not hear back, when they were suppose to be already open. Called that company back several times when a live body actually answered the phone. They claimed to be coming out between noon and 4 PM. When 3:45 PM came around, I called them and was told their technician was running late but would be out. Then 7 PM arrived and absolutely no contact from the other company, not even a sorry we couldn't make it out, nothing. I called the home warranty company after this nonsense and was told that they had someone coming out from Plumbing PhD in Troy on Sunday. They gave me a contact number for a person named Jeff. On Sunday Jeff gave me a call and said he would be out soon. Jeff arrived and was able to determine where the leak was occurring. It was in a very problematic area that did not allow for easy access to fix. After discussing options with Jeff, we decided on a course of action that would require extra work, but nonetheless necessary to address a major problem. Jeff was able to seal off a hazardous access point that day and even came back to my house after a prior job commitment to at least allow me to use my furnace through an additional access point. He actually took the extra time to show that he cared, which is hard to come by in the service field this day and age. He came on another day to complete the entire job professionally in order to route the gas to a hot water tank and a dryer. His work was excellent and he did a great job. I would highly recommend him to anyone that I know.
