Our builder used TPK. Our experience was as follows - we have a bubble tub in the master, the plumber forgot to install the handheld sprayer that was provided, we don't use the tub because it's difficult to clean. Our dishwasher is a Cove, the plumber said he'd never seen one before so my husband had to install it. The hookups for our washer and dryer are reversed. I hurt my gut on the dryer door a couple times and my husband reversed the door. Unless you're really handy and want to complete your plumbing needs - I can't stress enough how incompetent our plumber was. Here's a coup de grace, we own a pond and the plumber actually asked if he could come back and fish!!!

Our hose pipe busted and they were able to come check it out less than an hour after I called. They also saw our water heater had a leak and was covered in rust...we had no idea!! Not only did they replace both water heaters for us, they were able to replace them the SAME day in less than a couple hours. I was beyond impressed with how courteous they were. Will recommend them to all my friends!!

Basement flooded due to a clogged drain. They came out forgot the cable for the camera couldn't get the snake passed the peatrap. Ran water in the drain for about 5 min. Then said whatever you did you unclogged it. Charged me $189 a week and a half later the clog was back. They said they dont warrant clogs. I will never use company again

We have used the Plumbing Knight several times since moving to the area. Every single time, we feel they did a great job & the price was always fair. We had to call them to our house on Christmas Eve for frozen pipes. Although there was little they could do, other than advise us, they made a house call & we were expecting to pay a high price since it was Christmas Eve. We got an invoice followed up by a call from the office saying we owed nothing & Merry Christmas. We will ALWAYS use The Plumbing Knight without question. You just don't receive honesty & quality like them very often anymore. I highly recommend them.

I had a water leak due to a worn out mix valve. A PK crew came and stopped the leak, but since it was a Saturday, they could not get a replacement valve from their supplier. They left me a quote of $600 + and said they would return on Monday. They did not explain what was exactly covered in the $600.

On Monday a different crew showed up and gave me a totally different quote. $700 for labor (replacing the valve) and $800 for them to pick up the part. That's not a typo. They wanted $800 to drive 3.5 miles to their suppler and pick up a fixture that costs $200 max. I told them no and I had a friend repair it for $170.

This company doesn't not want to do dirty repair work, they just want to do new construction. Also, they charged a friend of mine $1500 to replace 2 well pump filters.

I'm a veteran and would not recommend this veteran owned company to my enemy.

What's the right ranking here? I dont know so read on!

I removed the sink, disposal and faucet when we replaced the countertops in our kitchen. Taking all that out is easy, putting it back i expected not so much. Because i have had spinal fusion i decided to pay for a plumber to come reconnect the water and disposal lines. I called TPK's and was greeted with professional dedicated to setting up appointments. I was able to get an appointment for the exact day and time i wanted, Monday between 8:30 and 9:00. On Monday they called and said they were just leaving and would be at my home in 30-45 minutes. They showed up in 35 minutes. So far so good, great communication and execution. I showed the technician what i needed done and he quoted me only 565 for the install of the 3 lines and disposal. After picking myself off the floor i was informed the price was almost 800 if it were a difficult install. I promptly thanked the technician and sent him on his way. I felt bad, he was very professional and fully understood my reaction to the outlandish price. The amount quoted was more than the sink, the faucet and disposal combined.

They wont give you a price over the phone because they don't know exactly what is needed but they have you over a barrel once they have arrived (for the quote) and in your home. Who is not going to move ahead with their crazy prices if they are in need for repair and access to water. Me!

I broke down, and reinstalled everything. It works perfectly. I did it in less than 45 minutes which included a trip to the hardware store to get a new (correct finish) sink throat connector. My back wasn't happy but my wallet was.

They were professional all the way around and i would have no problem hiring them if i didnt have a concern about being gouged. if you are looking for something reasonable and not outrageously absurd and i would suggest you look elsewhere. If, on the other hand, you dont money is of no object and you dont mind being financially taken advantage of, I would say give them a try as I liked everything i saw up until the quote and that is saying a lot as i am very hard to please.

We thought that our water heater went out and called the knights since they have a good reputation in our neighborhood. We were able to identify that it was our kids who had turned off the main gas line accidentally - but figured it out as the plumber arrived. We thought we would have to pay for the trip at least but to our pleasant surprise the driver said he had kids too and understood - he still took a quick look at our water heater, said it looked good and left with no charge.
Thanks!

I have no idea why these folks are not five star rated. They are kind, responsible, reasonable, thorough and quite experienced. The owner has always explained everything to us and he has gotten us through some tough situations. The day before the last hurricane he was at our house in the wind and the rain trying to clear a roof gutter drain line to stop our crawl space from flooding. We eventually needed to tear up a portion of the line to remove a 3""! Pine tree root. It all worked out and we did not spend a fortune. I would personally never use anyone else.

First I'd like to say My experience with the owner in the past has been excellent back in 2005 time frame he installed all new supply lines and drain lines in a older house and a 9,000 square foot commercial building for me. And 14 yrs later things are still doing great.

The reason for my rating today is I was out of town or I would have resolved the issue myself but needed a quick repair of a shutoff valve on a toilet in a rental actually one of the ones he plumbed for me I referred to earlier. Don't get me wrong there's no lifetime warranty on anything and I expected to pay a fair price for the work received.

The gentlemen who did the work came out looked at the job and called me and said it would be $321.00 to remove a leaky shutoff valve and replace the supply line behind the toilet and to tighten a loose nut on a sink drain. I asked what the hourly wage was and his answer was I put it into the iPad and it tells me what to charge.

According to my tenant he spent an hour at the property and I agreed to pay it but also wanted to confirm the method used to charge with the office when I paid the bill.
I called and spoke with a lady and she was polite as the plumber was as well when I asked her how the bill was calculated she said the plumber in the field does that.

So the Plummer told me it was plugged into the iPad and it told him what to charge and the office said the plumber determines the charge.

The parts which consisted of a supply line and a shutoff valve are about $15.00 which leaves a profit of $306.00 for 1 hour of work.

I lnow Plummer's are expensive and should be paid well for there work but $306.00 for an hour after materials is eye brow raising. The lady in the office said the valve is warrantied for 5 years which is nice but I thought I should let the public now as a program that says changing a valve is $306.00 is an unrealistic price to charge and I would like to have had a better explanation than blaming the cost on the iPad.
I am retired military and appreciate the owner of the company's military service as well and named no names in my complaint as I chose to have the work done because I was in a bind but in my humble option the work completed was not comparable to the fee charged.

But per my tenant the work was done well and from past experience with the owner of the company I'm sure it was.

Thanks for listening
