I do NOT recommend this Plumbing Joint...


- If there is an option for 0 start i would do it.... too bad there is not an option...Totally agree with Alyssa H. below... ""They use the GPS tracking in the trucks to charge whatever they want based on how long the truck is AT YOUR HOUSE. ""
- A worst business I ever known... HIS 24hr service line was not even work until I told him to fix it.... YOUR WELCOME TPJ....

COST:
********* $99 for ARRIVAL, $49 for EVERY 15 MINUTES..... NOT EVERY HOUR... ***********

- He Came in to fix my stop heating water heater... replaced the upper and lower thermostats... and they stopped working after less than 24hrs after ....
- I called back the first thing on SATURDAY MORNING ... he said SORRY I DONT HAVE ANY TANK IN MY TRUCK TODAY ??? ( a water heater service place is telling me he has no tank? Did I just hear something like Starbuck is out of coffee today? )
- I said at least come and check if it was the mistake from installing the thermostats... he called back after 10mins and said... sorry no, "" I dont have anybody available today, but MONDAY""
----- IRRESPONSIBLE business... just as same level as people from Craigslist...

Wasted my $328 dollars for NOTHING...

I do NOT recommend this Plumbing Joint... SAVE your money for LOWE/ HOME DEPOT tech.... they charge ~ $1140 for a new replacement installation at my area (Lynnwood WA) for electric 50gal one Whilpool Tank.... His quote was $1200....

Plumbing Joint is a mediocre plumbing company that charges WAY to much for anything. A 15 minute job to camera a line cost us 607.73, and there was no repair made by them. Their office is adjacent to our building, so the $607 was especially excessive. I would NOT recommend this plumber.

I do NOT recommend The Plumbing Joint. They use the GPS tracking in the trucks to charge whatever they want based on how long the truck is AT YOUR HOUSE. Not working, just sitting there waiting for their next job. Charged us for 2x as long just because ""His GPS says he was there from 8:47 to 9:14"". It's your word against their GPS.. you can guess who wins. Please do yourself a favor and call someone else.

Researched their website and picked them since they are a renton chamber member, got apt for hot water heater repair, they came in the 3rd hour of a 4 hour window. determined I needed a new thermocouple, maybe a new gas regulator, quoted me a total repair price of over $900+, OUCH. they wanted more than 3X the retail price, a $60 regulator at a retail store, they wanted $200, all of their labor rates were high too. I said no thank you. Guess I paid $99 for their expert? opinion. Of course they also quoted me a new unit was for $1300. they missed their tryout for future new purchases. Fix my minor repair fairly and done right the first time, and then they earn my future new purchases, my house is 27 YO and needs major overhauls of HVAC and plumbing needs. Swing and a miss here. The website says they treat all of their customers repairs with as much focus, attention as new purchases. Don't think so.

We are writing this after a ""cooling off"" period in order that we may submit a fair review. Here's our story. In February, we called The Plumbing Joint because they are a local business and just down the block from us. We initiated our contact with a sense of trust, knowing that this was a ""local business."" We regret not reading YELP prior to our call.

Long story short, they charged us $314 for just over an hour's work and that did not include the parts. Our bill for a simple bathtub valve replacement was $486! We were shocked at the price, and the attitude we were met with when we stopped by to clarify the bill.

Thank goodness for YELP so that we may have a voice in all business practices. We are in total agreement with the previous review on The Plumbing Joint...it is hard for us to believe that they can exist as a business with these questionable business practices. We will never use them again and hope to warn others in the ""hood"" to shop around.

We're going to contact the Better Business Bureau when we are done with this post.

Had them out to replace a kitchen faucet. 'Can't you do that yourself?' You ask? Yes, but figured I'd hire someone because I didn't want any headaches while on paternity leave. Guy shows up on time as promised, removes old faucet then loses a piece for the new faucet! Promises to come back the following day. Now I'm out a kitchen faucet...

I went to the store, bought the piece, installed on my own...

They still charged me for his time.

Understandable.

Should also be understandable that I will never call them for anything again.

These guys were a breath fresh air after dealing with other plumbing companies. They were very helpful, gave me any information I asked for and didnt try to hide anything they were doing. If I wanted to do any of the repairs to my main sewer line, they were more than happy to oblige.
They appear to want customers for life instead of squeezing anything they can get from you.
If you dont care and want to be taken advantage of, call beacon or mr rooter.

I have relied on The Plumbing Joint for over a decade for small jobs and large, and recommend them highly. They worked on our basement remodel about 12 years ago, installed a sump pump in the basement and redid all the old plumbing in our house from the meter in. They were the best of all the contractors we had on that job. Today we had a seal on our sump leaking and someone was able to come out within an hour of our call on a Saturday, and fixed the problem in under half an hour. He was polite, efficient, and had the right part for our job in the truck with him. We remain very happy with The Plumbing Joint and will call on them again without hesitation in the future.

After another plumbing company came out and was unable to find a sewer blockage and charged me $1500 I called the guys at The Plumbing Joint. It was 8 a clock at night!! The guys met us the next morning bright and early and found the problem in two hours!! They spent two days and fixed a terrible mess. I can't say enough on how professional and dependable they were. I would recommend them to family and friends
