Claire S.I recently called for a Saturday emergency. There was no answering service so I left a message about the issue and saying I was a former customer. Realizing this was not a good sign I called another company that had an answering service that did tell me they were too booked to come out that Sat. so I made a Monday apt. The Plumbing Dr. never called me back. I was still going to have them give me an estimate for a big sump pump and other valves job which is now estimated at several thousands ( by another company). With not even getting a return call from the Plumbing Dr. I'm crossing them off.
We have used the Plumbing Dr for several years for both emergencies as well as maintenance. They have always been friendly, professional as well as on time for their appointments. Often during an appointment Dr. Bill, the owner, will also show up. Their prices are also
reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to friends asking for plumbing referrals.
Mike M.On time, polite, professional, and competent. I had a bad experience with another plumbing company and the Doctor was a ray of light. The Plumbing Dr. is now my go-to for plumbing.
Wanted to hire a local guy called twice and left a message requested a quote no response Dr Bill obviously doesn't even care to call and say he is too busy!
Kery N.The owner is the nicest guy and they warranty their work so you know the job will be done right. (They take their warranty very seriously. ) All the plumbers I dealt with were nice and professional and they kept everything clean.
Fraudulent plumber. This is the first time I have ever written a review. And, the first time it was necessary to file a police report for any purpose. This plumber took advantage of my wife the week before Thanksgiving by charging more than $2,000 in excess of the $1,500 in parts and labor that should have been charged to replace the sump pump system in our basement. Then, when we asked for an itemized bill with parts and labor broken out, the plumber informed us that the policy is to NOT provide the pricing for parts and NOT to provide the price per hour for labor. Total bill was $3710--immediate research reveled $800 in parts and 4 hours of labor for two men. Should not have been in excess of $1500. Beware at all costs!
Andrew G.These guys are life savers. After a Washington Gas crew accidentally (and unknowingly) broke my sewage line, we started getting sewage backing up into our basement shower. Dr. Brandon of the Plumbing Dr. arrived at about 10 pm and worked until 1am using a camera to locate the exact spot of the break and to dislodge enough of the broken material so that a bit of sewage could pass. That kept our basement from flooding! He used drop clothes and footies and left my house as clean as when he got there. Great guy! Yes they are expensive, but peace of mind is priceless. Using his video and ability to locate the break, Washington Gas came out and fixed the broken section of pipe the next day. And they have pledged to reimburse me for the break... so go figure.
Rusen G.My hot water disappeared, and we booked The Plumbing Dr for same day service. Our lead plumber was Wayne, with Jimmy assisting. They arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly (faulty thermostat), gave me an option to repair or replace, and were not pushy at all (when I chose to repair).
Within an hour and a half, I have hot water again! I will definitely work with these guys again. Great experience all around.
I really want to write a good review, but can't. I'm handicapped, and needed to communicate by phone what I wanted. When I requested a faucet in the ""middle of the sink,"" he talked over me and missed the ""sink"" part. He installed it off-center, ""centering"" it between the three new installations but ignoring the hot shot on the left, so it's off center to the right side of the sink. OK, stuff happens, but I didn't get $30 off the charge mentioned in their online add as a new customer. So I called the office and mentioned the ""new customer $30 off"" that I never got. The woman said, ""Oh, you should have told shown him then."" No instructions were online about having to do anything to redeem it. They don't know I'm a new customer? OK again, but when he came back to fix it, they were going to charge the $68 service call that I wouldn't have needed had he listened in the first place. OK, but I'm getting a little annoyed at this point. At least maybe I can get the reduction now. So I called the office again for the $30 off. This time she said that it was only for repairs. What?!? I pointed out that the website says nothing about it being only for rrepairs. This time, I felt used. I gave up, and said fine, but I'm tired of saying OK. I told her that I wouldn't be a return customer, so for $30, they lost a customer and got a bad review. The work was fine (installations only, no diagnosis or repair needed), so I give them a 2, but the bait and switch got me, both literally and emotionally.
Horrible customer service. Spoke with Shelly over the phone to get some information on service leaks & detection and she said they don't do that (when their website clearly says they do). Very frustrating when they give you the wrong information for a serious matter and make you fee like your issues aren't worth handling. Customer service was horrible with my experience
