Called John to fixed a clogged toilet around 7pm and since he was already in the neighborhood he showed up an hour later and fixed it no prob. Very happy with the experience.

Set up an appointment with John 4 days in advance. He gave me a 2-4pm window. I waited. 3:45 I got a call that John would be an hour later due to the weather. It snowed 2 days ago, but no precipitation since. 4:45 rolls around. Nothing. I initiate contact at 5:30 and he isn't even on his way yet. I told him to forget it. I waited 3.5 hours on my day off for no service whatsoever. If I could give negative 5 stars, I would do it.

Awesome work as always! I called Jon to set up an appointment for a warranty repair on an item he helped install about a year ago. He was very flexible in setting up a time with me over a weekday night, and he was right on time as promised. I quickly explained to him that the water in the toilet would keep running for long periods of time after a flush, and I wasn't sure why. He took a quick look in the tank and ended up replacing the pump he previously installed, and then the toilet was running as good as new. All in under 5 minutes! As a bonus, I remembered to ask him if he fixes garbage disposals as well, and he does (score!). My warranty repair was free, but there was a service charge for the garbage disposal that I agreed to. It turns out that food was jammed and because we don't use it often enough, it got stuck over time. Although the reset button wasn't the right fix, he took a special key out, turned the blades from underneath, and fixed that for me in under a minute. That's 60 seconds, folks!! Magic. He has some serious skills. Because my apartment was a mess, I couldn't find my checkbook right away, and he says ""don't worry about it - just write me a review."" 2 items fixed in under 10 minutes. The fact that he let the service charge slide for a 60 second repair tells me that he's a stand-up guy that is less focused on the short-term sale and really considers long-term business while doing great work. As other reviews have pointed out, he's extremely professional, efficient and thorough. He is THE guy you need to contact for your plumbing needs, I know I will do the same going forward - thanks, Jon!

I do not understand why this guy gets great reviews.
Perhaps he writes them himself!
I have called this guy twice, both times for the same issue. Glogged main sewer line that needed to be rodded out.
1st time he couldn't make it and referred me to another plumber who did in fact come out within two hours. The problem is that the second plumber rodded the line, broke the cover to the rod out station, failed to use the correct size ""bit"" to rod. He used a smaller size bit and went thru the center of glog ONLY not getting the whole thing. Well, here I am now 10 months later with the same problem and $225.00 short from the first shoddy job!!!
I called this guy Jon again and he scheduled and appt. to come out and give and estimate to repair/rod this again. An hour and half before the appt. he calls and cancels. I won't tell you his stupid excuse (it had nothing to do with another job or anything like that).
Very unreliable company.

I had a backed up garbage disposal and called around asking for quotes. I called a few other places Sunday night and I felt like I was bothering them - until I called John. He asked me a few questions - knew what the issue was, quoted a fair price and confirmed a time. He must have been on a job and asked me to text my name, problem and confirm the time we discussed. The next morning he texted to reconfirm the time.
When John arrived - it turns out I had done more damage than he thought. (did you know that rice and noodles down a garbage disposal expands... Same reason why you shouldn't feed birds rice...). Anyway - he had to do an acid flush then rod the pipe. He was in an out in under an hour. He cleaned up the mess that was my fault (although he said its his fault, but my responsibility) and made great conversation whole he was here.
John is a trustworthy dependable contractor which is hard to come by these days. He even guarantees his work for 2 years. I'd recommend him to anyone (even though I hope I never have to see him again.... Hehe). Thanks John!

I called on a Saturday, talked to John about my leaking water heater and fixing a faucet someone else hadn't fixed right, and he said some disparaging things about the previous plumbing service. Glossing over that lack of professionalism, I went ahead and sent pics of what was up with our water heater and asked for an estimate ... and never heard another word from him. I can't speak to the quality of his work, only to his work ethic and people skills - which were severely lacking.

I chose The Plumbing Doctor because of all the good reviews (and because I thought the bad ones were pretty hilarious). We called in the morning and they arrived a few hours later to help with a leak under our bathroom sink. Fifteen minutes later the job was done. Moral of the story -keep you father away from your pipes when he has epoxy in his hand and call The Plumbing Doctor.

My toilet flooded (always a great thing...) and Jon came and fixed it the next day. I thought he was efficient, professional, and straight-forward. Nice guy too -- I'd definitely work with him again.

After a year and a half at our rental apartment, we were fed up with the our kitchen faucet. There was about a tenth of the water coming from it, we were honestly using the sprayer hose to wash dishes, fill pots, etc.
Searched on Yelp, found The Plumbing Doctor and begged our absentee landlord to use him to fix it. The landlord finally relented, and Jon came out the next night to inspect it. He said the faucet was totally shot, needed replaced. He had top-shelf faucets but since my landlord is chincy, we made another appointment for Jon to come back and install our new, but still shitty $40 faucet.
He installed it quickly, cleaned up and was out within 25 minutes. And, for the first time, we have a kitchen sink we can actually use.
Definitely recommend The Plumbing Doctor.

Fantastic service!
At 1am last night two of our drains in our lower level of the duplex were reverse flowing. I called The plumbing doctor at around 1:30 am, due mainly to the good reviews here. He answered and we spoke about this issue. We agreed that he would be here between 9am and 10am.
Around 8:30am he called to let me know he might be a tad late because the truck wasn't starting due to the frigid weather. I appreciated the call; many wouldn't have called. The funny thing is that Jon the plumber wasn't even late. He arrived around 9:45 am, within the time frame we agreed upon. This was definitely a pleasant surprise, as my experiences with other plumbers in the past were typically 1-2 hours late.
Once he arrived he got right to work. He already had a good idea of what the root of the issues were. He literally was able to fix the problem within a half-hour. I was a bit skeptical that he fixed it so quickly, but sure enough, the problem was fixed. We tested all the drains, he showed me what had been done and where the problem existed. He could have taken me for a ride, as I am a dummy when it comes to this stuff (i.e. he could have tried the ""you need to buy this"" trick, and I would have been none the wiser). But he was clear in his description of the work and his price was very reasonable... actually much lower than expected.
I highly recommend this plumber.
