The Plumbing Doc is your trusted local plumbing service. Rick Clemmons, the owner, a native of Arlington, California, was born in 1959 and relocated to Bakersfield in 1964. Having been raised in Kern County, Rick has forged many lasting friendships and ties in the community. In 1976, he graduated high school and enlisted in the Air Force. Once he completed his service, he became a member of the Kern County Fire Department, performing duties as a seasonal fireman in Keene, California. After the fire season wrapped up, he pursued higher education in Texas and later at Bakersfield College, where he explored various subjects, including Mathematics, Diesel Mechanics, and Welding. He joined the apprenticeship program at Operating Engineers Local #12, earning qualifications as a Heavy Equipment Operator and a Diesel Mechanic/Welder. He graduated from this dual program, receiving the Dorothy Donahue award for being the top apprentice in the AFL/CIO across California and Nevada.
In 2004, he founded ""The Plumbing Doc"" with just two trucks and basic tools. Through dedication and a focus on customer satisfaction, the company has expanded into what it is today. Though the early days were difficult, Rick relied on positive word-of-mouth to keep going. The Plumbing Doc was known for punctuality, quality workmanship at fair prices, and a commitment to honesty! Andrew C.Nothing worse then having a plumbing issue on a Friday evening. Called The Plumbing Doc and they gave me a ETA of 1 hour. Aj showed up to my house within 20-30 mins!! Did his work and got us back up and running!! Very professional and had lots of info to share on if my issues happens again. I highly recommend this company and big thumbs up to AJ!!!

Veronica G.After calling five other plumbing services, Plumbing Doc was the only company who had time to respond to my immediate need. The guys who came earlier than the time the said someone could come. I really appreciated that they called to let me know they could come earlier. The problem was assessed and fixed within an hour time. However, after reassessing their work, they found there was still a problem. The problem was resolved without an additional charge. Thank you Plumbing Doc for the great professionalism you exhibited in resolving my problem.
Michael G.This ""team"" came out 5 times and didn't resolve the issue until the final time that they came. Toilet just kept on running. Finally they sent the ""owner"" out and it was repaired for about a month and a half. I called to see if there was some type of warranty or something that I could do to get them to come out and look at it again, but the ""owner"" was a jackass! I could hear the tension in his voice as soon as I told him my address. I would never, ever, ever, ever!!! Use this place again. Don't care if they are the last plumbing service on the planet. I won't be talked to like that, especially when YOU are the one offering ME a service, JACKASS!

Karley W.Their response time was quick; however, we were charged $150 and they didn't fix anything and couldn't diagnose the problem unless we paid an additional $200. Waste of money. I ended up spending a good amount of time Saturday on the issue and was able to resolve it myself.
Hali R.We highly recommend the Plumbing Doc. We called Monday and they were able to get a technician to our home the same day. The service was excellent. Aside from the direct service, my husband asked a random question and we completely forgot that he had asked (pertaining to the kitchen faucet) and the technician called us two days later and let us know he had been working on that question and he had some options for us. We were blown away with how thoughtful this gesture was, and wanted to make sure that they received proper kudos. We will definitely be using the Plumbing Doc for all of our future plumbing needs and highly recommend the service.
Jackie M.My toilet backed up and the problem could not be corrected with a plunger. A call to The Plumbing Doc at 4:50 pm and one hour later the problem was resolved. And I live 20 minutes from town! These guys are great. Fast, courteous and reasonably priced!
