So technically I didn't actually hire Jason with Plumbing Detective, but he has a loyal customer for life. I called with my toilet suddenly having started leaking from where the tank meets the base. Jason asked a few questions about the age/make of the toilet and was able to diagnose the issue over the phone. Unfortunately he was booked for the next week and a half and we didn't want to go without a second toilet in the house that long. But instead of calling another plumber Jason explained the part that he was sure was the issue and that it was a moderately easy DIY project to take off the tank and replace it. He talked me through what it would consist of and even offered that if I got stuck or had questions I could call him back. A trip to Home Depot for a new spud valve and an hour or so of work later and I had fixed my own toilet. An amazing level of service and professionalism. When I inevitably end up needing a plumber in the future, this will be the only one I call.
