Certification involves a comprehensive written test and is a mark of honor.
Phil continually seeks to enhance his skills, and in 1992, he obtained his California C36 contractor license for plumbing. I actually *didn't* do business with them - yet - but boy were they great. After a toilet flush started filling our shower... I looked on yelp and elsewhere for shops that were open on a Saturday afternoon. The first business I called... waited 45 minutes and got no response. So the the second business (The Plumbing Company) I waited only 10 minutes, and was literally on the phone booking with another company when TPC returned my call. I felt bad about that, but since the other company already booked, I called Judy back and she was very understanding about being the ""backup"". Judy also told me the tip to prevent ""water"" from continuing to flow into the shower - open the clean out valve to relieve pressure).
The other company was punctual, courteous and friendly but took quite a while to get the job done and charged quite a lot. The other company also suggested a very expensive service... because the problem is going to come back (indeed, this was our third time in 5 years) Guess who I am hoping will be able to do that service ... The Plumbing Company.

Absolutely incredible. Friendly, professional, prompt, diligent, and super efficient. Highly recommended.

Situation: It was 7 pm on Friday night, the kitchen sink was clogged, dirty dishes piled up all over the counter & guests coming to visit over the weekend. I couldn't reach my regular plumber, an old family friend, so I called 3 new places listed as Google Trusted. ONLY Plumbing Company picked up the phone right away even though all were listed as 24/7. Phil came over first thing Sat morning and cleared the line out past the outside of the house and explained really clearly how it happened and what the future of those pipes may be and what the options are down the road. Price was right. GREAT GREAT GREAT company.

I am writing this Yelp review because I want people to know what an amazing experience I had with this company. My water heater went out over the weekend. I called and Phil came out within an hour of my call. There is no one nicer than Phil. He was so friendly, so professional and takes the time to explain to you all the work he is doing. I asked him for business cards when he was finished and have passed them around to home owners that live close to me and also co-workers. Phil and Judy are just awesome!!!! I highly recommend this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So after a very difficult time of dealing with major home plumbing issues I wanted to leave this review to make sure everyone is aware of what you get when you have this company do work for you. I called this company based on their Yelp reviews that seemed pretty good, but I regret it now. I give them two stars rather than one for a couple of reasons. 1) the person who handled my situation was very nice and kept communication with me. 2) I can't say what they did was bad work, although they didn't do much. That leads me into why only two stars. I feel their prices were absolutely outrageous! I feel like I was over a barrel initially with all my sewer lines backed up, so I approved the initial work to of adding a clean out and clearing the main line at what I later found out was an outrageous price of $6000. Once that was done I had a chance to regroup and contact another plumber to get some pricing on a full replacement of my house sewer lines and main line in the front of the house, because I was looking at having to get a home equity loan to come up with the money for these guys. After more in-depth research I contacted another plumber and got the remainder of the work done to replace all sewer lines all the way to the city connection for about 1/3 of the price I was getting from these guys. I highly recommend doing whatever you can to get estimates for the work before signing these guys on to do work. They are really nice, but do not hesitate quoting you three times as much as someone else. GET ADDITIONAL ESTIMATES BEFORE YOU HIRE THESE GUYS!

Super Helpful. I called The Plumbing company at 7:00 in the evening because I heard a sound coming from my toilet. Ugh they were clogged and plunging them didn't help. I spoke to a very helpful woman that was ready to send some one out. She did tell me that there would be an after hours charge but would be happy to send someone if need be. I opted to wait till to morning as she said she could send someone first thing. In looking at my schedule I found that I couldn't be available till noon. The Plumbing Company was more than happy to work with our schedule. BIG bonus points for that. Thanks. As for the service they lived up to all our expectations and like true pro's there were quick to figure out the issue and get it resolved.
YEAH working toilet!!!! Thanks Phil!

To respond to Phil incorrect update. Here is the actual facts. The remediation company did not discover the leak until 230 in the afternoon once they pulled the room apart. We called this company first because of their ratings on Yelp and were told they could be there within the hour. Phil arrived 5:15pm. Since we thought it was going to be a simple repair why would we call someone else. When he arrived he made a big story on how hard the work would be and that this was the cost. We were up against a wall at that point and he Knew it. When it took him less than an hour to do the actual work, we realized he took advantage of our situation. We obviously should have gone with our gut when he gave us the quote but we have kids and hardwood floors sitting above the leak. To wait another would mean to turn off water to the house. The lie and fabrication he just told is making me revise my rating back to the original claim. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Even with the discount, it was $700 to fix 5 inch of pipe that was completely open and exposed. The fix should have cost maybe $400 because it was after hours. We verified with remediation company and separate contractor the actual labor needed after the fact. My bad for having to deal with this dishonest company during a emergency.
Just wanted to give an update. After I called and expressed my frustration with being ridiculously overcharged, they gave us a discount. Not as much as we hoped for but I will take it.
Original review
This company is outrageously priced. $519/hr. We used yelp review to select the company because we had active leak and didn't have time to shop around. Simply put we got screwed. It's sad that they took advantage like that. I doubt we'll ever use them again and definitely won't recommend it to anyone. We paid over $1000 for less than 2 hours of work (that's including him looking at it, explaining it to us, going to get a part, and fixing it). We already had walls open so he knew he had us. The guy was nice and I assume he did a good job but only time will tell. Very disappointed.

I had clogged main drain line. Literally pools of yellow and brown stuff in the bathrooms, so you might imagine the state of emergency.
Turned out to be the tree roots. $280. Fast, professional service. Will use this company again.

We desperately needed a urinal fixed at our dealership and these guys took care of it immediately. I spent all morning calling their competitors who were simply not taking my call, or giving me excuses on why they cannot take the job. The Plumbing Company took the job confidently, and showed up within an hour or so. Phil did an excellent job repairing the issue and explaining what needed to be done and how much it would cost every step of the way. I was blown away when he took the time to explain that the cost would be minimally different, but he wanted to make sure that I was okay with the price before proceeding. Very professional and it allows for me to make an informed decision. They took care of the problem and billing was simple. I'm putting them in our company system as a preferred vendor for any future plumbing needs. 5 stars for sure!

Highly recommend!! Phil was a life saver! I cannot thank him enough for his quick response and great work! Definitely a number to keep handy!
