Phil entered his journey in plumbing through a traditional apprenticeship which involved both classroom instruction and hands-on experience. Once he earned the status of journeyman along with certifications from multiple municipalities, Phil didn’t stop there. He achieved his P.I.P.E. certification, that grants recognition for numerous cities and unions. Explore the P.I.P.E. website. Certification involves an extensive examination and is a mark of honor.
Phil continually seeks to better his knowledge, and in 1992, he obtained his California C36 contractor license for plumbing. I called today these company and the receptionist Ladie was so nice to me and helped me get a discount for being a renter and being a Ladie ..she cared about the discount cause she's a renter and wanted to help out...also send Phiill one of them plummer right away...I didn't have to wait a few days to get it fixed...they are coming by in one hr or so..nice people and caring..thank you..Sandra P...

Will definitely call on these guys again should the need arise. Chris was the tech who came to our house and was very clear about what needed to be done in order to diagnose the problem (we had a ceiling leak from the upstairs.) I could tell he was thinking of possible scenarios and took every step to ensure that the leakage was discovered. Thanks for answering the call as I often go with the first company who actually answers the phone rather than leave a voicemail.

Excellent service. The technician showed up on time and found the trouble within minutes. I received feedback and a detailed invoice. Could not have been easier . Thank you for a job well done !

I needed a waterline connected to my new Kitchen Aid fridge on Memorial Day weekend. I called around but got no takers....until I called Judy at the Plumbing Company. She worked hard and managed to get Phil over in the time window I needed. He arrived happy and got right to work. He knew exactly what to do to connect my copper line directly to my new fridge. 30 mins later all was working well and Phil is done.
I recommend The Plumbing company highly. They are courteous fair and very nice people. I won't use anyone else for all my plumbing needs.
Call them and ask for Phil to come out. He is the best!!!

Stay Away, not honest, and ripping off!
I called The Plumbing company last Thursday when my water heater broke and I could not turn on the pilot. A welcoming rep took the call, and I asked about their service. She said they can have a service man coming to our house.
The first red flag, not giving diagnostic fee info on the phone: I asked the rep whether there is any diagnostic fee, she said there is NO fee, and a quote will be provided when the service man arrives. The service man arrived later in the day, and indeed called in advance of coming. After minutes of arrival, he said there is $179 diagnostic fee! I said, the call rep did not talk about this, he said, well, there is a fee if we are coming! I said, you could be transparent, etc. Nevertheless, we negotiated the diagnostic fee down to $80.
The Next red flag: quoting a high repair bill pattern: He tried to turn the pilot, it failed. He said, with a high probability, is thermocouple. And, the cost to replace it is $409 (labor). I said, this is too high, how much is the parts, he said this is not about parts, it's the labor that is expensive. And, if I replaced the thermocouple, and it's not it, and it's your gas valve, the replacement charge for this is $510 + parts. I declined any repair, and he left with $80 of diagnostic fee!
Then, I went to the internet, and did a bit of research on Thermocouple, and noticed that he even did not do a good diagnostic job, others in the videos make certain that this is the faulty part by actually measuring the voltage, etc.
After a bit of research, I found that is a pattern in this industry to just come to service call, collect diagnostic fee, provide high quotes, customer declines, and they move to the next diagnostic job! A complete rip-off.
Another issue is that I found later that my water heater has been under warranty. And, finally, I had a service man contracted with the manufacturer to replace the parts, and fix the issue for only $225 (labor + free parts from the manufacturer). And, I found this issue indeed by a 3rd service man from another company that I called on the same day, and he came to our house, he pointed this out, and asked me to call the manufacturer. He indeed did not charge me at all! and he said I better go the manufacturer route. This new service man indeed gave me hope that there are still good guys in the market, while the service man from the Pluming Company did not let me know about this, at all, even though charged me $80 diagnostic fee, as well.
So, I had a really bad experience with this company, and the method they want to make money out of customers! Not being transparent, quoting high to just collect the diagnostic fees quickly, no proper diagnostic, and not explaining the options including any warranty coverage, etc. Stay away, if you can!

The good: We called the plumbing company to get an estimate for a bathroom/garage remodel. Someone was scheduled to come out the same day.
The bad: The technician did not arrive at the scheduled time. When we called 30 minutes past the agreed-upon time, we were informed that they were ""on their way."" He ended up showing up an hour late. Not too atypical for the industry, so this was certainly not a deal-breaker.
The worst: The technician was very friendly and helpful while discussing the job. However, despite multiple phone calls over the ensuing 2 weeks, we have been unable to obtain a bid. The receptionist has told us multiple times she will find the bid and ""get back to us"" with no response. If they are too busy to take the job I can understand that; however, the lack of communication is very unprofessional.

We just experienced a backed up drain line on a Saturday morning. We looked for a good review of a plumbing company on Yelp to help unclog the line. We thought we would not receive help for several hours but what a surprise when we called The Plumbing Company. They had received some positive reviews on Yelp but one doesn't know until you receive the service if the review was an accurate one. Phil M was out to our home withing an hour, was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable as to what our need were. Within a half hour, water was flowing and we were very pleased and satisfied with the overall result. And the price was very reasonable and truly fair for what was accomplished. Would call The Plumbing Company again if I have any other plumbing needs.

I couldn't sleep Friday night so I got out of bed and went into our family room and I heard a sound that wasn't normal and after a while I realized it was water gushing out of a pipe. There was no sign of the water in or around the house but when I shut off the main valve into the house the sound went away, so I realized that there must be a broken pipe under the house. The next morning I called The Plumbing Company and when Phil arrived he crawled through our two, cramped, crawl spaces. He couldn't reach the break because it was in an inaccessible area, but he figured out a way to bypass that area. To make a long story short he came back with a helper on SUNDAY, bypassed and fixed the break in the pipe to the house and installed copper pipe out to our irrigation line which used to be PVC and had broken in the past. They did a very nice job.

Honest. Competent. Took a difficult job that everyone else was overbidding on by 4x as much. Really lucky we found them!

The folk came out to my house and did the roto-rooter job on the main line. I was told that the blockage was due to tree roots and was charged $272.00. A week later, the line was backup again and I called back the comapny and was told that I have to pay $272-10% discount if I want them to come out again. If the clog was due to tree roots, how could it possible that the roots will grow back just within a week. Obviously, they did not do a good job the first time. Hell NO! will not reccommend.
