I reached out for help with a clogged kitchen sink - and had a response within 10 minutes. Abel arrived at my house within the hour. After trying to snake the drain issue; he diagnosed the situation quickly and efficiently. Ran out for the parts and had the problem pipe connection replaced within a few hours. Won't be the last time I call The Plumbing Artisans and Abel... fantastic to work with - highly recommend!

I had an issue with a 10-year-old Navien tankless heating unit last week. When I called The Plumbing Artisans, Abel responded almost immediately with a time he would arrive. The diagnosis was quick and accurate. After obtaining and installing the part, we had no further issues. We highly recommend this business which we have been using for the last 12 years for all my plumbing needs.

I had a sewer leak at my residence my insurance company sent this contractor to fix it after they were finished doing the job there was a hole that they dig and was to patch it back with asphalt how the came and patch it but I was not pleased with how they did it .there was a void there so water was going through a hole the size of my fist I texted the contractor and told him his response was,(such a little hole) and said he could come back during the week which he never did so I got some cement from Home Depot and try fixing it that was July now it's October.then now the rain start I am having water coming in where they charged out the sewer pipe and patch around it with cement,I Tex him and told him I was not happy about his job and it seems unprofessional he didn't answer me until the insurance got a hold of him because I reported it to the insurance company, guess he never liked what I said about his quality of work, however he texted me back saying your house is old and crumbling and he expect it to leak.so I said to him your trowing jabs you won't offend me,he texted back and said I text him insults because I told him his job was unprofessional ,he also said I gues you never heard the adage you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.so I said are you a business man or an asshole you should make sure your customers are satisfied with your service and if not try to make it possible by going back and correct your mistakes don't be arrogant this is your business and your job,is that how you treat customers or is it because I am not your kind ,if I had the chance to post the conversation I would just to show how much a scumbag this guy is would never recommend him to anyone even in my deepest dreams I will always post this to all social media networks

A nice young man showed up with the parts I needed in hand. They asked me to take a photo to save time. He worked quickly and efficiently and fixed the problem. He also replace a rusty cover thing around a little pipe to the toilet. He was done and out quickly and could not have been more pleasent. the invoice was lower than I expected. I have had a few negative experiences with other professions working on my place. this was a great experience.

I had a water leak that was seeping through my kitchen wall. I found the Plumbing Artisans because they were one of only three plumbing companies that had great ratings. I am very happy I found them. I was able to set up an appointment for the very next morning. They were on time, reliable and fair. They were personable and described everything that was causing the leak, as well as the options to take. Everything was fixed within a couple of hours. I will be using them in the future and will recommend them to anyone looking for a good plumber.

I find it very hard to believe that this guy Bill has gotten these reviews. The only way I can see that happening is if the customers hadn't questioned his invoices. But here is my experience given I did read my invoice given the ridiculous stunt he was trying to pull.

The below is the sequence of events:
1. He was supposed to come at 1pm to fix a faucet leak in the kitchen sink and a minor leak by the spout of the bathtub.
2. I call him at 1.10pm and he says he's on the highway in traffic
3. He shows up at 1.22pm and calls me - I pickup the phone and tell him I'm at the apartment and I greet him at the front door.
4. He finishes the work in under an hour.
5. He gave me some tips on pipe maintenance after that which I appreciated. We end the conversation at 2.40pm
6. Then he's gives me an invoice for 2 hours worth of work and was fighting me on the facts (even tho I showed him the proof on the phone). Essentially he wanted $456 for 1 hours worth of work (claimingbit was 2). At first he said he was including travel time, which we had agreed at the offset that he wouldn't charge. Then he just claims he started at 1pm.
7. I just told him no and had to fight with him to get to a point where 'what's fair is fair'. I paid him for 1 hours worth of work and materials cost. Oh and by the way he tried to also tell me that the clock was ticking when we were talking about the invoice. Some nerve he had.

So, moral of the story is that be very careful hiring this guy. He pretends to be very professional and courteous but will rip you off. Buyer BEWARE!

One star is too many stars for this company. I used Bill-- who I believe owns the Plumbing Artisons.

Bill came over for a few very common plumbing updates--- he left without successfully completing any.

1) re-installed a toilet post-renovation. Toilet leaked that night, ruined ceilings and floor below-- bill blamed me for not knowing that I should have replaced a part (as if I'm the expert).

2) installed two faucets.
faucet 1-- hot and cold were mixed up. Faucet 2-- dripping.

3) installed new shower head.
... surprise-- shower head drips when shut off.

4) installed bath faucet. Everything works with this on (yay), BUT the brand new tiles were scratched like crazy all around the faucet!

All this said-- mistakes happen. I'd be perfectly okay with mistakes, presuming that they were properly addressed.

Here's the issue with Bill-- NONE of these issues were his fault!! He was very unprofessional in his response, and claimed that these materials (whether the faucet, the toilet ring that i should have known to replace), the bath faucet, etc, were to blame.

He proceeded to charge me double for him coming back to fix his own mistakes, then threatens with legal recourse when I told him I didn't think $190/ hour and 10 hours of work (PS-- I asked two other plumbers afterwards for a time quote... answer for both, no more than 3 hours) seemed unacceptable.

Do yourself a favor-- DO NOT use this company!!! Go back to to the yelp list and find someone else who won't rob you blind!!

I'm sure Bill will consider me unreasonable-- I welcome his feedback. DO NOT believe his next excuse!!! There are plenty of other plumbers in the area!

We had what was supposedly a broken toilet valve. $175 bucks and 30 mins later he was gone. Went to use to bathroom as soon as he left and there was already water pooled under where the valve was replaced. Ended up being just the full hose that was shot. A $4 dollar part. How did he leave without checking if it was still leaking? On top of that Bill was suppose to return on Monday with a contractor to look at and give an estimate for a bigger project we are planning. Never showed, never called. Will not be recommending this business to any of our friends.

I had what I thought to be a simple drain clog in my daughter's bathtub so I called Bill to ""snake"" it out. I was disappointed when Bill told me that was not the issue and that more work would be required. In fact, he broke his snaking mechanism (did not charge me), so I knew the problem was significant. My house was custom built so when Bill told me the only place to access the pipes, to fully diagnose the problem, was in my kitchen under/behind my cabinetry, I nearly fainted. Here I was with a clogged drain and now we're taking down cabinets which would require both carpentry and electrical . .. in addition to plumbing expertise. Afraid of doing all this work and then realizing this wasn't the right path or that bigger problems lay ahead, I hesitated. I approached Bill with my concerns and asked that we put a ""price ceiling"" on the job. Bill was confident in his diagnosis and his ability to tackle all aspects of the job and so agreed to the price ceiling. He spent most of the day (happened to be election day) doing the work. Bill dealt with the cabinetry and electrical as though he was skilled/trained in both those areas (I watched him perform most of the work), rightly diagnosed both where the pipes were located and that something much more than hair/gook was the problem (in fact, the entire plunger mechanism had dislodged and sunk into the pipe!!) and replaced the pipe and plunger hardware. Bill was kind, courteous and transparent with all aspects of the job throughout the process. His price was fair and the job was done correctly. 2 months later I had a much easier/smaller job to do (replace the hot water ""butler"" under my sink) and I knew just who to call. To keep cost down, Bill was able to work with some of my existing hardware and just replace the part that was problematic. In the process he also noted another problem with my refrigerator ice/water maker and fixed that on the spot!!
In my business and in life I value the importance of a good relationship, where both parties benefit and both parties can be trusted. In this day and age, relationships that meet this criteria are hard to come by. Bill has proven that his business is relationship driven as well, that he values these same principles. He is reachable, responsive, transparent, trust worthy and highly skilled. If there is more to ask of a plumber, I'm not sure what it is. If you are looking for a band-aid solution at a lower price, Bill is not your man. If you want a comprehensive, lasting solution and are willing to pay a fair price, Bill Duncan is the guy.
