The Plumbinator Plumbing
Company Overview
For over a decade, we at The Plumbinator Plumbing Co have been offering top-notch plumbing services to the residents of Solano, Napa, and Yolo counties. We are committed to addressing our customers' needs, making our family-owned business your go-to for plumbing solutions. We provide free estimates and charge based on the job rather than by the hour. We also offer discounts for multiple jobs, military personnel, and seniors. Our specialties include installing and repairing water heaters, along with delivering superior plumbing services. We focus on green plumbing solutions, ensuring that your home or office benefits from the most efficient plumbing practices. You can reach us by phone 24/7 for emergencies, and we look forward to delivering the finest service in the plumbing industry. My experience includes several years with local plumbing firms, notably Steve Silva Plumbing in Napa Valley and Boden Plumbing in Sonoma. Both owners offered me valuable opportunities, for which I am thankful, but I have always been an independent spirit with my own ambitions. I have chased the American dream with enthusiasm since 2005. Established in 2005, we are a family-owned and operated plumbing company. I’m Pat, a master plumber with more than 25 years of experience, 20 of which have been in the North Bay. My family and I focus on offering individualized service with exceptional quality. I offer a one-year warranty on all my work. Free estimates and senior discounts are available. I charge by the job, not by the hour, so you know the cost before we start.

I have used Pat from the Plumbinator about a half a dozen times now for various reasons mostly through my home warranty. While I live at the end of a very long, curvy road, he always shows up on time and as we agree. He always does good work and I feel he is very fair and careful. Over the last 18 months, he has repaired a leak in my hot water heater, fixed my kitchen sink leak, bathroom faucet replaced, major plumbing disaster in my master bathroom shower, and replaced a toilet. All done great with no future problems. In fact, I think he is one of the better home warranty repair folks I have encountered. The problem with the warranty repairs is often the home warranty company. You really need to make sure your problem is a covered item , some of the warranty companies (AHS in particular) make it so difficult to have items fixed it just isn't worth it.

As Jun stated ***BE WARNED***.....Our landlord called the home warranty company to have a Plumber show up to take care of a clogged washing machine located in the garage. The so called plumber called me the next day and wanted details which I provided. He then stated that I needed to have the area cleared and the washing machine removed as he is doing this for a home warranty company and doesn't get paid much and he is only allotted a certain amount of time and money for the job at hand.
He then sets up the appointment for 2 days later saying he'll be there between 11am and 4pm. I called him at 330pm and asked if he was still coming, at which he told me he was there himself and no one was home and asked why am I calling and asking so late as he was scheduled between 11 and 2pm, It was 11- to 4pm (didn't matter I was home) said he rang the bell pounded on the door and yelled plumber at the top of his lungs, while stating he put a magnet on my door and left. Surprise no magnet and couldn't tell me the color of the house if there was a car in the driveway and if he heard my 2 large dogs going crazy, thats because he didn't show up to my house. He had my number and could of called. If I drove from Vacaville to Napa I would at least give a courtesy call of reconfirm the address with the warranty company or myself.
I'd advise to look elsewhere.

This company came out via my home warranty company because my bathroom sink was leaking. The big one who is the owner couldn't even get down to look under the sink and had his son look. He said that he saw no leak turned on the faucet and told me to call him if I saw it leak again. He asked for payment and left. I had a second plumbing issue and called my warranty company again, when the plumber called he introduced himself by his first name not the"" Plumbinator"" otherwise I would have refused their service. I had a leak in the outside facuet and a rocking toilet. He gave me some line about it was a irrigation problem that was not covered but he would replace the knob to turn off/on water outside. The second issue was a rocking toilet he went outside and had the warranty company call me and tell me it wasn't covered. He asked for payment and when I was talking to the warranty company they split. No good bye no receipt...nothing. I've been calling the warranty company and the Plumbinator company to get a receipt. Nothing!! I will be dropping this warranty company I've only gotten weirdos and lazy people every time I call
them. Beware!!!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Called my home warranty company about a leak and they assigned these guys to us. I jumped on Yelp and saw the negative reviews and decided to call my home warranty to ask to send some other company out. They said they make sure all their contractors are rated after service and only the good ones are kept so I should keep the appointment that was already made. I decided to take her advice. However, I got the SAME story as everyone else. Guy shows up, says he can't do anything and then asks for his money. My dad was home at the time and said he wasn't going to pay the guy for doing basically nothing and that it's his son's house so he can't pay him. The plumber said he would call the warranty company and make sure no other plumber comes to our house until he gets paid his money. We called the warranty company and the money actually goes to them and not the plumber and was confused why he would take that kind of attitude. I REFUSE to support any kind of business that threatens customers, no matter how minor the threat is. I cannot believe there are these kind of people in the service industry. If you see these guys are assigned to your service request, PLEASE PLEASE call your warranty company and have them assign someone else!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! He came via our home warranty too. Did not obtain the required building permit to replace the water heater, even though the warranty company told us they were going to pay him $250.00 for the permit, hung up on us on the phone and did not hook up the drip pan. Very unprofessional! Do not use him.

Not only did the ""plumbinator"" completely blow off his scheduled three hour window to do service, he then lied to both my husband and I about it. First saying he had no idea that it was scheduled, then saying that he ""found"" the paperwork and it was scheduled for the following week. Even thoughh I spoke to him and told him he had to come out immediately because I literally had no water. He was completely rude when we contacted him to ask him where he was.
If he is this much of a mess when he doesn't show, I'm certain he's the kind of service man that would lie on your billing.Stay away!!

I called my Fidelity Home Warranty and they sent this company out to fix a toilet leak. He was there for about a minute and said it is a rotted floor causing the leak. This was not covered. I brought someone in to fix the floor and they discovered that the tank gasket was leaking. The Pluminator never bothered to check. From what I have read on Yelp it looks as if this is a scam.

Last year I had a water heater break in my garage in the middle of the night. I called my home warranty who sent out The Plumbinator. He had an inexperienced young man do most of the work and a contractor friend asked if he listed this guy as an employee and paid workers comp, etc. on him. The following day, my insurance company came out to access water damage. When they saw the work on the water heater replacement, they explained it was not up to code, it didn't have the required drain and the water heater itself had been placed on top of moldy sheet rock! It was gross and when I called him on the telephone to complain, he told me that he had made that determination and he wasn't going to change or correct anything. The whole time he is yelling at me. I called my home warranty company to report him and to warn them that he is a big liability. I begged them not to do this to anyone else because all I could see was some poor old couple getting taken advantage by this individual (I'd say worse if I wasn't a Christian).

If I could give a less than one star review I would. When calling to make the appointment, he asked what kind of floor I had, I told him tile. He told me that he would have to do a cement grout on the tile to make a level place for the toilet to sit on. He told me this over the phone. He said all tile floors have this issue. He is a regular contractor with my Home Warranty company. He conveniently ""forgot"" to mention that my home warranty will not consider this issue a plumbing issue and did not tell me that after he comes to my house for 40 seconds and jiggles my toilet for 1 sec, he'll take my $60 cash and tell the company that he can't do it cause its a floor issue. So it's a scam for him to take home warranty peoples money. It could have been the gasket underneath, but he didn't even look. Why would he actually bend over to do work when he can make up things and go around collecting money every few minutes?
I would have never gone through with the appointment, if he had been upfront with me over the phone. I am a teacher, and my husband is an underemployed veteran who was out working a warehouse job at the time. We have 2 kids under 3 and we struggle to get by on my income. He is taking money directly from my kids.

I had a very different experience than the others. My home warranty insurance sent The Pluminator out to check a leak and a garbage disposal that wasn't working. I called it in on Sunday and received a call from Pat before 8:00 a.m. on Monday. They would have came out the same day but I couldn't get away from work. They gave me a 2-hour time frame 9-11 on Tuesday morning. They were there by 10 and gone by 11. They diagnosed the problem and replaced the garbage disposal. Very clean and nice people. Every other plumber that I've had to deal with through the home warranty seemed really shady and always tried to get more money out of you - not these guys! I will definitely use them again--even without the home warranty!
