We had a midday plumbing emergency in our only bathroom and called the pink plumber as they had generally good reviews online. We were told no one was immediately available (which I understand as it was a Sunday afternoon) and we' were given a four hour (3-7pm) window for a plumber to arrive After two hours passed by at approx 4:30 pm, we were called back by the company receptionist and told that no one would be able to come out that day/evening because of a mandatory staff meeting @ 7:30pm. They would have to come out the next day. The company claims to offer 24/7 emergency service but cannot send someone out because of a staff meeting? At this point we were forced to call around for another company. After scheduling another company for that same evening we called the pink plumber back to cancel their services. During this call the same receptionist who called us back also answered our second call and informed us that the staff meeting was actually for the next morning in an attempt to keep our business. Based on this experience I would not trust anything these people do. If they can't hire someone who can keep up with a schedule, you can't trust them to offer decent service. I

I called The Pink Plumber to repair a cracked PVC pipe under my kitchen sink. Claude M. came to my house on 10/8/13 and told me it would be $$451 to repair it. I was shocked - it was literally a matter of sawing through one end of a PVC pipe and piecing together - about 15 inches of pipe in a completely accessible area. When I questioned him, he said, """"I could charge $289/hr. and drag the job out for 2-3 hours"""" implying that this is what their competitors do. Since I needed the pipe repaired, I agreed to have him go ahead and do the work while he was there. 30 minutes later he was done. WOW - $451 for 30 minutes of work! on a simple repair. I expressed my disappointment in the bill and he told me his previous company (S. Plumbing) would have charged about $700 (I guess he though this would make me feel like I got a deal!). SO....the next day I called and spoke to the manager, Scott, who said he would have to pull the invoice and call me back, but that it would take a few days. I never heard from him...even after leaving a follow up message. I will NEVER use this company again and I absolutely will not recommend them to anyone. They completely overcharged and zero customer service...not to mention the comment about dragging a job out to charge more money vs. flat rate. Unbelievable.

Sent them email via their website requesting that they check/verify the water pressure at my Atlanta condo. They called me back at 7:06 AM the next day and said they had a minimum service charge of $45.00 plus the cost of whatever repairs were necessary. Told them I wanted an estimate for precisely the work I'd detailed in my email. They reiterated the $45 plus costs of work. Told them I'd call them back. I checked with the (different) plumber that did the repair and told him I needed a receipt that verified in writing what the water pressure was. He said $75 to come back and do it. This annoyed me. I again called Pink Plumber and said I needed verification of water pressure and could write up the work order myself so they could see exactly what needed to be done and give me an accurate estimate. They said there was no way for me to send them the work order and said the cost would be $45 plus any repairs. Since no repairs were necessary, only verification of the water pressure, I said """"ok."""" They showed up as promised. I paid for their parking at a parking meter. I explained the situation to the tecfhnician. He said it would be $213 while still at the parking spot. I flipped. I told him I could have had it done for $75. He called the office and they authorized a reduction to $150. Due to time constraints I told him to go ahead. 1. Why is it that I could not get the $213 """"real"""" figure at the same time that I spoke to the service? 2. Per my calculations, if I paid $45 for the trip there, I paid $105 to have him ride up in the elevator, screw on the gauge, take the reading, and write the receipt. 3. He was literally in and out in under 25 minutes, did not have to bring his toolbox in - just the pressure gauge and a screwdriver. That time includes the time to talk to the office and get the discount authorized. In summary, the people are nice, they do good work, but they are too big for a small job, and you will pay for it...

for me pink plumber couldn't even keep the appointment and called too late for me to call someone else to come out the same day!! run don't walk away from pink plumber -- in atlanta don't believe the radio ads-- if they can't keep the appointment do you really think you'll get honest professional service when and if they show up??

Parents had a septic issue and called Pink Plumber. They were quoted one price over the phone but when they sent their plumber (a day later than they said they would), he quoted $150 more. They did ok work but just make sure you get confirmation on pricing in writing or email.

My experience with the Punk Plumber was a disaster. They were called in due to the fact we were told they had slab leak detection equipment. Mistakenly my property manager did not throw them off the property then they arrived without the property equipment. After 3 hours and 5 large holes thru out the house later ,The Pink Plumber's plumber thought he knew the solution The answer was to pull all the plumbing out of the slab and re-plumb. A price was quoted, I requested and was assured, NO flex plumbing material would be used (The current plumbing was copper) and the job was to be COMPLETE. Several hours later, only TWO lines were re-plumbed, flex plumbing was used and all those holes in the drywall were still there. The BEST part was: the dollars now being demanded was nearly doubled the quoted price. When we pushed back, we were told the Pink Plumber had lawyers to address such issues. I guess they do, a few weeks later a mechanics lien was placed on the property.

Had a small continuous leak in my basement. I called them and Jason came out explaining what needed to be done and it would take at least four hours and $618.00. I thought it was too high so I called another plumber. The other plumber from a different company shut the water off, grabbed a bucket for the remaining water replaced the 3/4"""" PRV pipe and it cost $200.00 and 10 minutes. Clearly Jason needs another profession. I just wanted everyone to know how much he wanted to rip me off. My suggestion DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Burnt me bad on a part! """"Sir, this part is extremely hard to find and will cost you $350 to $400! Luckily, we have one in stock!"""" I don't mind paying for the service/work, or a part. And I fully expect you to make a nice profit. But, $400 on a part that cost you $25?? I asked for the part number, so maybe I could find it on my own. Guy purposely gives me the wrong #. I said I would still have him do the work, but just wanted to see if I could find the part elsewhere. He had me bent over a barrel, so I paid when I couldn't find the part. I took a picture, and sent it to Kohler though. Couple days later, they replied with part # and price of $19.95 dlvd. Asked at Lowes, and they said they could special order for $25. Spoke with the General Manager, and he couldn't have cared less. After about the 2nd lie, I gave up trying to speak with him!

I had an appointment with Aames and they never showed up. I called them and was told the would TRY to get someone out to my house if they could. Again they were a no show and did not call to let me know what was going on. The next day they failed to return another call to explain the problem. They seemed to be terribly disorganized and unreliable. If you value your time, then forget these guys!

Not impressed, they showed up on time within my 4 hour window. I had asked them for an approximate price for a main drain cleaning, but they wouldn't give me any price. After the Plumber arrived he told me $511 for a main line cleaning. Since I'd had it done by rotorooter for $250 I told them no way and paid them $45 for the visit.
