Recommended Customer Reviews

This is a lengthy review, but I feel that it's best to identify all of the facts and let future readers make up their mind on whether utilizing this company. We called Pink Plumber after having sewage back up into our tubs and the toilets wouldn't flush. Their plumber came out right away and was able to identify the problem by snaking the sewer line. He identified a crack in the sewer line which appeared to have been caused when the irrigation lines were laid. He dug it up, and then quoted $1200 to fix! During the visit, the plumber claimed that we needed a new water heater (which would cost $5k) and also recommended a water filtration system (also $5k). Interestingly, the plumber also said that the pipe that cracked could be upgraded to a thicker pipe which would cost $5k to do the entire line. My girlfriend was the only one home at the time and she agreed to get the portion of line that was broken fixed. She gave a deposit of $300. Once I found out about the quote, I contacted the company to cancel the order, as $1200 to repair 13 inches of piping is beyond ridiculous. Ended up having to pay an extra $250 to cancel (as we had to pay for the snaking and the labor in digging up the pipe (which was buried about 10 inches deep). Got another plumber in to fix the piping (which took 30 minutes). At this point, he confirmed that the piping that was used was sufficient for sewer lines, so I'm not sure why Pink Plumber suggested replacing the entire line for $5k. Even after paying the new plumber, our total cost was still over 30% cheaper than their quote. The replacement plumber couldn't believe the quote - he said even $600-$800 would have been high but somewhat reasonable for a day's work. I have no issue with Pink Plumber's work and expertise as I'm sure they do a reasonable job. They came out quickly and when they said they would. The plumber was friendly and appeared knowledgeable. The upselling and upcharges did leave a bad taste in my mouth, though. I would strongly recommend utilizing a small, local plumber with low overhead. I'm sure that Pink Plumber's overhead is high, which is why they need to constantly try and upsell additional unrequired products and repairs. Remember that the person paying for those shiny pink trucks and tv advertising is you!

Wouldn't use this company ever again! I wish I would have read the reviews before calling them. You will be overcharged and no warranties in their work- which came after the fact in an email.

I don't know what changed there, but I am dropping them as my plumbers and dropping their rating from 5 to 2... I was sold a hot water heater by them for a very large dollar amount in June of 2017. I did not pick the brand they chose to carry. Everything was fine until 2 days ago. Water heater quit producing hot water. Called pink plumber to come out and take a look. Element is bad. Ok, no problem, it is under a six year warranty. Called the manufacture and confirmed. Told the plumber that came out the same. He said, well you can have the manufacture send you out a new element or I can replace for $350. What? You sold me this water heater? Called the manufacture again and asked how the repair was to be done, they said the plumber just needed to replace and could pick up the part at their regional office, they do not ship parts to homeowners. I told the plumber the same, he made a bunch of excuses about there not being a office nearby, etc... but he could still fix it for $350. This is a product you sold me, under warranty. Why would you carry and sell a product that you don't stand behind??? The element is between $9.50 - $15 each depending on where you go and the quality. You get a very lucky 2 stars because at least he was nice when he tried to rip me off more than I feel I already have been... I also found it odd that they have 4.6 stars on google, but only 2 here... how?

I called the Pink Plumber thinking it would help the fight on cancer. I asked on the phone if they could give me an estimate to unclog our kitchen sink. I was told they could't even guess. When the plumber came out, he found the clog, and informed me it would cost $485.00. If I refused service, I still had to pay him $65.00 for coming out. I needed the clog fixed, so I paid their unbelievably high fees. I'll never call them again. Giant rip-off. I had a clog fixed since then for $90.00. Avoid this company at all cost.

I would give them negatives if I could, what a horrible experience we had with this company. Our tankless hot water heater broke on a Saturday night. I found the Pink Plumber online and called them because they said they have weekend hours for no charge, now I see why. I was told they could not do it until Monday because it was a tankless unit even know they had one at their shop. When he came Monday, he gave me the outrageous estimate of $4900. I baulked but I have a medical condition that requires 2 hot baths a day to get out of bed. I told him the only way we were doing it is if it was done that day. He assured me it would be 100% done and running. I told my husband the price and he said a new unit is only $1000 but if he was for sure going to have it done that day then we would just have to do it so I wouldn't be in agony as it had already been 2 days without hot water. Fast forward a few hours, the technician told me he was unable to finish the job because he was not comfortable with the electrical work (even though plumbers do electrical all the time) but he had already called the electrician and he would be out the next day. He then let it slip that it was his birthday and his wife was mad at him because he was not home. I then googled the place and realized just how badly we had been screwed but it was obviously too late. The next day the electrician came and started to do his work , after a bit and a call to customer service he realized that the technician the day before had screwed the digital control to the front of the unit which customer service and the manual for the unit both state it that cannot be installed in an area that receives direct sun or could be splashed with water, ummm this is Florida like it never rains or is sunny. The Pink Plumber informed the electrician that is incorrect, that is how they always install them. I verified in the manual that it is absolutely the incorrect way to install. The electrician had to leave to get parts to put the digital controller in a weather proof casing. When I went outside to look at the unit there were drilled screw holes in the front of the unit which when it rains would allow for water intrusion which would destroy it. The electrician said he was told to caulk the holes. I called and sent an email the next day to the company to tell them this is not ok. The next day they sent someone unannounced to our door to replace the door on the unit. When I got home from work, I noticed a permit hanging on it. The permit was pulled the day they replaced the door of the damaged unit so clearly, they never intended to pull a permit in the first place or it would have been mentioned or done in the three days preceding the repair. They were just trying to cover their butts with an unhappy customer. The permit also had a price for the job at $2100 which the city puts in and is what the real price of the work should have been. When I asked the company about the outrageous price that should have been at the most $3000 (that's with a huge profit) they said that is industry standard which is an absolute lie (I checked several other big and small companies after the fact and the most I was quoted is $2500) and they do great work another absolute lie as they installed my unit incorrectly. They were unwilling to give any kind of refund for lying to get the work in the first place by saying it would be done in one day and truly just screwing us. I was told to keep them in mind the next time that they would do better, what world do you live in? The only thing I am happy of is the internet and the fact that in this day and age with online reviews this company may eventually be out of business because no one in their right mind would use them if they saw how badly they take advantage of people. If you want to pay triple for your plumbing work by all means go ahead and line their pockets.

The Pink Plumber company is a total rip off. I called them on 12-30-2018 because I had a clog. They charged me $750.00, never solved the problem. My system backed up again the next day, they came back and wanted to charge me again!! I told them they never fixed the problem to begin with. After the second time they were here they still did not solve my problem. I ended up calling another plumber and he had the problem taken care of in 20 minutes and only charged me $225.00. I will NEVER us The Pink Plumber ever again and I will warn others to stay far away from them too.

Their truck screamed by me tonight, weaving in and out of lanes. Something tells me with drivers like this I would not want to use their services.

Techs Mike and Rob arrived at my house on Wednesday morning. I'd used the Pink Plumbers in the past, and had a bad experience, but given their commitment to fighting breast cancer, I decided to give them another chance. Last time, the tech took care of a broken pipe, and left to get a part to finish the job. He never returned. When I called to make the appointment for today's job, (yesterday), the scheduler couldn't access my record because she said they computerized and my record was no longer available so she couldn't tell what happened. I showed Mike, the senior tech, what needed to be fixed. I decided not to go forward with everything due to budget restraints, but did proceed with immediate needs. He did call his office to verify the past problem and this time there was no issue confirming the past appointment and problem. I was told that tech was no longer with the company. We chatted about the fact that there are bad apples everywhere. Mike said they wanted to make me happy, in part, to make up for the bad experience. We proceeded with the work in the garage, and I paid the bill. When reading the invoice on my computer, I noticed something I found unsettling. The fine print said """"No warranty on pipe repair due to age and condition of the existing pipe."""" That was exactly the work they had just done. They repaired old pipes due to old age and poor condition. Mike and Rob were still sitting in their truck in the driveway, so I asked them about it. I was assured that sentence referred to the portion of pipe that they did not work on. I still had an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. There was also a clause on their tablet included on the signature page that I found disturbing. I had to sign that I was happy with the job they'd done. Aesthetically, the work looked very nice, but this is a plumbing job. I did not have a chance to run a load of laundry before they left, and there was no water gushing from the pipe. Then again, there was no water gushing from the pipe when they got here. This was preventative maintenance. I imagine I will not know, for a while, if their work withstands the test of time, so why include a clause like that regarding pipe work? It makes absolutely zero sense. These two issues are not issues for Mike and Rob to address. These are issues for the Pink Plumber administrators. I was told that they read all reviews at company meetings, so I'm hoping what I'm writing is actually read. I tried going to the actual website provided after the invoice page, and I hit a random number for the first question, in hopes of going through all of the questions before answering any of them, and program cut me off. In summary, once the estimate issues / uncomfortable negotiations were settled, Mike and Rob were friendly, and had no problem showing me what they were doing. I appreciate being educated when having things in my home fixed. They take pride in their work, and repeated that """"I was in good hands"""", unlike my first experience with the company. Hopefully the repairs done will withstand the test of time and I was indeed, in good hands. I will update this feedback, as necessary. Thank you, Mike and Rob. Addendum: **Being added at 3:19pm, same day as service. I have discussed this situation thoroughly with others, and have come to the conclusion that I have been overcharged. I ended up paying $400 for less than 30 minutes of actual work. The original estimate was $1600, and I was shocked by it. A lot of time was spent going back and forth with phone calls, both to the plumbing office, and to my boyfriend. I should having just paid for the service call. I think readers need to draw their own conclusions after reading all of the other feedback from other writers. I am embarrassed to even acknowledge this experience. When the price went from $1600 to $400, I should have gone with the negative gut reactions I was having from the beginning. My records weren't in the computer, and then they were. Prices went down as my facial expressions registered shock, etc. A prior bad experience, etc. I made the mistake of not checking Yelp before I called for an appointment. Please check around for estimates and learn as much as you can before you are faced with an emergency. Education is a powerful tool. Thank you, Yelp.

Quality of plumbing work is far BELOW acceptable, very expensive costs and a health hazard. October 2018, I called the Pink Plumber toll free number, which is answered in Atlanta, GA. I called from my residential home in Tampa Florida; I called with an urgent service request. My residential home is a designated """"NON Smoking Residence."""" The plumbing service technician arrived the day after I called. The technician had an extreme stench of fumigant smell on himself and his clothing: either fruit herbal scented vaping smoke or shisha smoke. The fruit herbal fumigant stench was pervasive throughout my entire home during the entire time the technician was here. The technician spent approximately 10 hours in my residential home and the quality of the work was poor and expensive. Several basic plumbing repairs were needed. Within 10 days after the repair, 2 of the repaired items began to leak water. The invoice I was provided was from """"www.ThePink Plumber.com"""" and I was charged more than $2500 for the work, which was invoiced to my credit card as """"Aames Plumbing."""" In addition to poor quality plumbing repair, the fumigant stench remained in my home in spite of my attempts to open windows and air out the home. Finally, about 3 days AFTER the plumbing technician left, I was able to eradicate the fumigant smoke stench from my home, and unfortunately a family member became ill also in this timeframe. I concluded that the sudden illness of the family member was likely caused by the fumigant stench and associated toxins from the plumbing service technician. It seems unusual that The Pink Plumber, a company who states that they """"donate money to Breast Cancer"""" research, would irresponsibly conduct business in this manner.

This is the worst company I have ever seen. I had a leak under the sink. They replaced the pipe and then the faucet stopped working. At the same rime, my toilet was leaking and they supposedly fixed that. One week later. After replacing the faucet, toilet and new shower head. All three were leaking again! I believe this company has technicians who are inexperienced in the work and are purposefully ripping off anyone who is not savvy with plumbing. Don't let the """"pink"""" name fool you into thinking they care about women. I never make yelp reviews. I am also going to make a complaint with the Better Busy Bureau. RUN!
