The plumber system at my rental house was broken and I called the """"Pink Plumber"""" and talked to the plumber guy named Jays becasue he did do business with me before. He was busy at that day and recomended me to another plumber guy named Tony. I talked to Jays and confirmed """"Is there any charge such as trip charge or anything if I don't want to do business with you?"""" Jays told me """"NO"""". Then, I asked Jays """"you need to let me know before anything is being done and any charge involved"""". Jays said """"YES"""". Then, the guy named Tony came to take a look at the problem. He called me and told me the about the problem which costed $1200.00. I told him that I have to think about it and will give him a call if I need his service. Then, he turned out to collect me the trip fees of $45.00 and the dianostic fees of $89.00. IT WAS SUCK since I was informed by Jays there was no charged at all. Also, if Tony wanted to charge these fees, he would let me know about these charges before he started any work. I called and talked to DAVE (his boss) about it but there was not any help since Dave said that Tony told him he called me and let me know about these fees before he did the work and I'm OK with that which is BIG LIE. Dave told me that he only trusted his employees NOT customers and will put me in the collection department if I refused to pay. Dave was very mean and never wanted to help to solve the problem for the customer. I called Tony again to confirm with him that he never called about these fees before. The only very FIRST time he called and let me know was the work needed to be done and the charge of the work was $1200.00. TONY CONFIRMED that with me. I also talked to JAYS again and he agreed what I as being told as well. Then, they have never contacted to me after that after I was being known that I would be in the collection department by DAVE. It is the company that I NEVER WANTED to do business again and NEVER RECOMMENDED ANYONE to do business with them. Jays was the good one in that company bu unfortunately he works for them. So sorry for him.
Michael F.I highly disapprove, discourage, I called the number today to 404-222 PINK-around 2pm (12/23/2012) and by Three times the clerk hung up not returned my call not wrote down my address, I would like to inform the company The Pink Plumber that my dollars are exactly the same as of all consumers. Merry Christmas and thanks for nothing
Jana S.Nobody ever wants to call a plumber and when you do, you want a plumber who does good work, doesn't overcharge, or tries to sell you stuff you don't need. And ideally, you don't want the plumber whose pants are hanging just a little too low when he bends over... you know what I mean ;) I feel like The Pink Plumber / Aames Plumbing delivered on all of that. I called them on a Saturday afternoon was greeted friendly by their scheduling person who was in constant communication trying to get someone out to my place on a Sunday. She was extremely helpful and understanding. The plumber who came was not only cute (who knew...) and very nice, but also provided excellent service. The estimate for the services seemed very reasonable. We ended up turning over the repairs to our HOA, so I don't know how much the final costs were (and I believe they have an on-site plumber), bu I would recommend The Pink Plumber anytime.
This company is a joke! I called on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving because my septic tank needed to be pumped. It was starting to back up outside. They told me it would be $195 and anything else would be told to me when the tech got here. They said that they were busy and would try to get out that day and if they didn't make it, it would be Sat morning between 10 and 2. At 6:15pm they called and said it wouldn't be until Sat. now between 12 and 4pm. I said okay. I sat home Sat. waiting and by 3:15 still hadn't heard from them. I called and they said Oh, we were just getting ready to call you, we can't get out there before dark. So they would be out first thing Sun. morning, she said by 8:30am. Sunday morning I get a call at 7:45am saying they are on their way but it may take a little while due to construction on 285. At 10am, the guy finally shows up. It takes him 15 minutes to locate the tank. He says he is going to write an invoice and then once we sign it he will do the job. The $195 special that they say they have is NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He says that it is the $195 plus $15 environmental fee plus $97 per foot of additional sludge over 6 inches plus $162 for additional waste because water is coming out of our overflow pipe that sticks out of the ground plus another $180 for a two compartment tank. The company knew that water was coming out of the overflow pipe when I called, never said that would be almost another $200 fee. Also I have a 1000 gallon tank that is it, not a two compartment tank. The house is a ranch with 3beds/2 baths built in 1996, one tank was the standard code then and they did not do anything above the code standards in this neighborhood. I would like to know how the tech can say that before he has even dug to see what is there. Needless to say we said no that is way over the $195 special. I could have had someone out here on Friday for $300, instead of waiting 3 days for the pink plumber to show up and then try to rip me off. I will never call them again. I have someone else coming today (Sun) for the price of $295, includes all sludge and whatever is necessary to clean out a 1000 gallon tank included in that price. DO NOT BE FOOLED, IT WILL NOT BE $195! Our bill was $549 before they did any work at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Patrick C.This is the second time I've used this company for services. First time was for the installation of a new hot water heater. The work they did was good but I paid over $1,600 which I thought was very high. I have no problem with the quality of the work only the price. Now I'm sitting waiting for them to show up to fix one of my kitchen sink drains. They said it would be between 12 and 4 for them to come do the work and now its 3:30 and I'm still waiting. They need better scheduling and more reasonable pricing. It's 5:00 and the plumber just showed up. The plumber installed a new P-trap under the sink. It cost me $338. Seems rather high to me. They also add a $15 """"Environmental Fee"""" onto every bill. I asked what this was for and the plumber had a difficult time answering the question. Seems its some type of trash disposal fee. Not sure why that would not be built into the overall price of the job? Wish there were some more affordable solutions out there. If anyone knows of one please let me know!!
I called to get an estimate for a """"GAS LINE LEAK"""" and was told for an estimate the fee for coming out $45.00........Eek!!!!!!!!!! Defintely METHINKS NOT!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!! Oh well they will not get this insurance money claim, BUSTERS!!!!!!!!!
mad appt for them to clean two septics..ours and aughters..when i called they said the $195 was firm price unless some repair was needed or we exceeded length of hose or depth of hole..i asked are there any additonal fees, and was told absolutley not. they wokke us at 7am to say they were on their way..by nine noone showed so i began calling..truck trouble ..on their way..9:30 i called again...second truck broke and on their way..he showed up at ten, and when i said i was sorry for all of his trouble, he said what trouble, i have been working all morning!!!!then he proceeded to tell us there is an additional $15 epa fee...then he said when was last time we had pump, and we told him not since we moved in..price jumped to $400...then he said no, it may be closer to $500..all of this without even entering our yard...he never left the driveway and told us he would not match other est we had of $325 because he couldn't make any money on that..still hadn't entered yard...how can they make money at $195 advertised price then...total bait and switch..when we asked to speak to his super, price went up to $600 plus and we asked him to leave the property
Beware of the """"Pink Plumber"""". I hired Aames Plumbing to help with a septic system problem I was having whereby my lawn continually stayed wet. I knew Aames had a $195 deal on septic tank pumping and figured it was worth a shot to fix the problem. The sent a technician out right away the same day. After further review by the technician, it appeared that the septic system's field lines needed draining in addition to the septic tank. He seemed to know what he was talking about so I proceeded. Well, during the process, the technician broke the water line coming in to my house and I ended up having to pay $800 to replace it (by, interestingly, someone he referred me to other than Aames). I chose to pay for the repair because the water line had already been giving me trouble. But still, an expense I wasn't prepared for. Wait, though, it gets better. The Aames technician then encouraged me (via a hard sell) to invest $1,000 in their so-called """"oxidizer"""" treatment to treat the soil after the septic system field lines are drained because he thought this would help keep the problem from reoccurring. Normally a skeptic, I fell for it. After almost two days onsite draining everything and """"treating"""" the system the technician told me that """"with all the work I had done I should not have a problem with the leak again."""" Ha. Long story short, after several phone calls to Aames Plumbing - many of which went unreturned for a week plus, if at all - I worked my way up to the Owner/President/CEO of Aames Plumbing, Geoff Gillon. Geoff never responded but his Service Manager (Jon Nehrenz) did. Over the course of the next few weeks trying to get Aames to come up with a solution to my problem, I had to deal with a lot of combative behavior, excuses and general frustration. I could never seem to get their full attention. The initial pricetag to me: $2,695 lost, literally down the crapper to the """"Pink Plumber"""" - $3,495 if you count my $800 water line repair. The real kicker: after all that I still had the same problem I started with. After an inspection by the county, it was determined that the septic system field lines needed to be relocated on the property. I was prepared to give Aames that business if they would credit the $2,695 towards the septic system repair. I was told """"No can do"""". In Aames' defense, they did credit me 75% of my $1,000 """"investment"""" in their oxidizer treatment. Still, $250 lost on that. My overall cost for Aames Plumbing to drag me through the mud for two months and still not fix my problem: $1,945. Ouch. Hard lesson learned. I ended up going with another septic provider (Ricky Grizzle Septic Tank Service) who installed new field lines for my septic system - something that should've been done in the first place with the money I wasted with Aames. Problem solved. Oh, and Ricky treated me like a human being and actually told me that he appreciated my business. Overall, Aames Plumbing was more than willing to come out the same day and take my money for their """"$195"""" septic tank pumping offer but became complacent - and combative - when the time came to find a solution to the problem that they never resolved. Interestingly, Aames has a video on their website where they say """"We try to get everybody the best service we can at a reasonable price."""" WSB Radio's Captain Herb Emory goes on to say the following: """"The number one goal is having a satisfied customer at the end of the job."""" For those of you who know Captain Herb, you'll understand when I say """"Oh, my aching Pink Plumber toe!"""". Buyer beware!
We used this company about a year ago for plumbing and were pleased so when we needed the furnace looked at we thought we could call them again. BOY were we wrong! Our furnace is older, but by no means does it need replacing. He was out for a sale from word one. He did nothing, but PARTIALLY vacuum the system. He told us how to vacuum the rest. He then charged us over $300. Since he has left the company and the heating guy himself have called the house 7 times in less than 24 hours. NO WE DON'T WANT A NEW FURNACE!!!! Don't go with them unless you want to be harassed!
Their $195 septic pump billboard ads are false advertising. Everything about them is false. Don't waste your time or your money on this company. You will just be left with an empty wallet.
