I called for emergency assistance - and was given a price. When I said """"Thank you so much"""" indicating that the price was way more than I expected, the woman on the phone laughed loudly and hung up. I called back to tell her I did not appreciate it as I was going through something major in my life, and now this plumbing issue came up - and all she could do was laugh in my face and hang up. She apologized but I am just so disappointed in the way people are these days. I know this may have been a mistake on her part, but I truly hope that she thinks about customers feelings when they call in - plumbing is not something we like to experience so a little bit of good customer service would be nice.

Move to Alabama. Not knowing anyone. Bought an older home that needed updating. Wanted to covert my home from electric to gas. Got a bunch of estimates and every estimate they seem like the work was too much to do! They wanted to take the short cut and sell me something I did not want! NOW NEIGHBORHOOD PLUMBING (STEVE) was SPOT ON! He talk and did the work like it was his OWN HOME! He made suggestion and gave me choices. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLUMBING Definitely has my Recommendation! The Neighborhood Plumber is the best plumber I've ever used in Birmingham or anywhere else I've ever lived. They come when you need them. They fairly and quickly assess the problem and they stand by their work. I highly recommend them. We have a recurring problem with tree roots and they have helped us keep flowing for several years. They really know what they're doing. I trust them and you can too.

I sent a letter via USPS to the Neighborhood Plumber...exactly as written here. To my surprise it was answered and by the owner. Actually it was quite a nice letter and included a 10% discounted check. And while I cannot retract my feelings over the cost as written here I will say this company does seem to care about its clients. I just suggest if anyone decides to contact for their services, that they get a price quote in ADVANCE of their visit.
