This company was assigned to me through our Home Warranty Service. When I called to schedule the service, we had been having problems with our toilet clogging up. When I mean problems, I mean it's been a constant plunging of the toilet for the last several years. Of course when he shows up, the toilet is not clogging up. He flushes it five times, throws some toilet paper in the toilet, and says it's working just fine. Isn't there something else you can do to check it? I didn't just pay you $75 for a service call to tell me we are using too much toilet paper. There's got to be some other checks you can do to see what's really the problem, but instead he just said it was working fine

We have a major leak in the house we just bought. We opted to use our American Home Shield warranty and was assigned the Lindsay Company. I was given the 30 minutes out call. I called and explained I was in route, however the plumber said that he could not wait. I called the company 3 times before being put on hold. Once I actually talked to a representative, I explained I was in traffic but about 10 minutes out. I explained that it had taken a long time to get the appointment and that we had a significant leak. She was rude and completely unsympathetic. I practically begged her to have the plumber wait. I asked that they extend just a little bit of the flexibility they demand from their customers. She said the plumber had already left and that I would have to contact American Home Shield. If you have AHS, you know that contacting them is no small feat either online or over the phone. Whatever happened to quality customer service?????
Follow Up: To add insult to injury. I just received an email for a service fee from the Lindsay Company. They denied me service because they wouldn't wait 10 minutes and now they are charging me a service fee for for absolutely nothing! No work was completed and the technician left.
When you get the 30 minute call, you better be at your house and not a minute late. They will leave immediately and charge you. Doesn't matter that you have wait during their 4-5 hour window. I work full time and can't take off the 4-5 hour window of time they schedule. So I left work after receiving the call. I arrive 10 minutes after the 30 minutes call. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never use this company. There are plenty of quality AHS providers that actually value you as a customer and not just as money for nothing.

Terrible experience through the AHS. Had a clog in the sink. Technician was brisk, spoke very broken English. Tried to charge me $600 to clear a drain pipe, which was not covered by AHS because he could not "access" the pipe under the sink. I got home, undid the pipes and bought an auger and fixed it myself.
When I called the service manager to let them know, he never returned my phone call. Imagine that.

Got a good crew out today through AHS and the Lindsey Co. Fast, professional, and efficient! Big surprise! Thanks guys!

AHS sent a technician from Lindsay to our place to have a look at a cracked flush tank. The flush tank cracked one fine day after holding up for about 13 years. The guy inspects it and confirms its daily wear and tear and is covered by AHS. Later we get a call from AHS informing that the technician informed them that it wasn't a wear and tear issue. How unprofessional is that! We have had to reach Lindsay again and again who are a bunch uncooperative useless thieving guys who want to charge $400 extra to get a damned flush tank fixed. WORST SERVICE EVER LINDSAY! BLOODY SHAME!

The Lindsay Company visited our home to repair some leaks. They were assigned to us via our American Home Shield warranty. This review is specific to the services provided by The Lindsay Company.
The technician that visited our home was not very timely and, when he arrived, was very brusque in explaining the repairs and what he could, and could not, repair via our AHS warranty. He was proficient in doing the work, much of what I paid for out of pocket, but had a rather poor demeanor in terms of communication and customer service. Overall, this made for a rather uncomfortable experience.
The tech assessed the issues and started working, and then I think he took a lunch break in the middle of working? I noticed about an hour after he arrived, he was sitting in his vehicle eating while I was waiting inside for him to finish repairs. Note I took off time from work to drive 30 minutes home to meet the tech to make the repairs.
Ultimately, my experience with The Lindsay Company was a negative one, and I would not recommend nor contract their services again. If I request plumbing repairs again in the future via AHS, I will kindly ask to use a different contractor or I will find another company on my own.

I too have been dealing with The Lindsay Company through AHS. THEY ARE TERRIBLE!! I have had to schedule them to out 3 times in two weeks. Each time the girl on the phone to schedule appointments is super rude and very unaccommodating. Each time I have had to miss work and they are unwilling to work with you on scheduling conflicts even though they should have done it right the first time.
They use AHS as an excuse to do poor plumbing work. They told me when my sink line clogged for the third time that they should probably run a camera down to see what the problem was, but would not do it because AHS probably wouldn't approve it. So you know how to solve the problem but won't....AWESOME. YOUR THE PLUMBER... FIX THE PROBLEM!!
I would not recommend anyone to use this company whether you use AHS or not. If AHS tries to assign this company to fix your issue, ask for a different company.

Had a good and easy experience with the Lindsay Company. I, too, got them through AHS, they came out in a timely manner, fixed my hot water heater, answered my stream of questions and was overall competent, helpful and courteous. I'm happy with them.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. The scheduling person on the phone is rude and arrogant. The plumber they send does not communicate when asked what the issue is - refuses to explain what the problem is. And he does a band-aid job at best. Definitely not worth using them if you can avoid it.

Plumber himself was really decent. Owner was not present but his son ultimately helped by sending someone out they cite details of the warranty often which is troublesome because you want good customer service first or third party. Office staff who are cited as trusted parties were not honest about call backs or appointments. We got lucky to get owners son to call back and get a good tradesman out to us
