The Leak Detectives

I called the Leak Detectives after I received a letter from the city stating I was using an excessive amount of water. Keith, and his wife, were very helpful and suggested I first turn everything off in the house, including my sprinkler feed, and check the water meter at the sidewalk.

Doing this, I was able to determine that there was no ongoing leak, including from the irrigation system or a leaky toilet. I ran through the sprinkler timer for all zones and could not visually see any leaks. With the help of a sprinkler expert I found a sprinkler head that was hidden under some bushes that was broken off. When that zone kicked on the water just gushed. I also had my time set too long, which only made things worse.
Anyway, thanks to Keith's honesty and not trying to take advantage of the situation, I was able to play detective myself at minimal cost.

Keith is an absolutely amazing guy!!!

He showed up at exactly the time of the appointment. I explained what was going on, he asked very good questions and gave me a bit of his background and how he got into his business. He explained what he was going to do and how long it would take. He then geared up and proceeded to find not one but two leaks in the main water line for my house. He explained that his accuracy was ""pretty good"" and that if the leak wasn't where he said, he would happily refund the call out charge.

When I started to dig at the first location, the leak was EXACTLY under the X that Keith had put there. I mean EXACTLY! The second leak was also where he said it was (no mark here due to it being at the meter box). There is no doubt that Keith knows what he is doing and he is extremely pleasant while he does it. Keith answered my many questions and gave me a list of local businesses that could help me fix the leaks he identified.

The Leak Detectives are unbelievable. I called Keith after 5 pm today and he got out to the house at 8pm to find the source of the leak. I could not be at the house when he was there, but he texted photos to me and called me several times to keep me updated. He was so thorough. He checked everything carefully and didn't rush at all. He took the time to have the dishwasher go through a full cycle to check the drain. Dealing with the unknowns of a leak is stressful but Keith was such a pleasure to work with. It's so obvious that he cares about the work he does and his customers. He also has great stories about his animals, which helped bring down my stress level! Thank you Keith for being a bright spot in my leaky day!!

Keith is a very nice guy and knowledgeable however he had a hard time finding my sprinkler valve the first time. He had to come out again which led to some billing confusion but he said he wanted to be fair in pricing and he was. They practiced very good customer service in not charging me again to come back out. I would highly recommend his services.

Keith did a great job finding the leak in our under ground main water line. We had a fairly busy day with traffic and airplane noise, but regardless within about an hour he had marked a spot on the grass. We dug down to find the leak exactly where he said it was. Keith is a very understanding and helpful person. I bought a new home last year in Vancouver. A week ago I noticed a large puddle of water next to my house. I did not see where it was coming from so I called Keith because of his reviews on yelp.
