Called Monday, and Joseph walked me through self-diagnosis steps to try first, no charge. Called him that evening after not finding it myself, and booked Tuesday. He arrived timely, was very thorough, talked me through everything as he went, found the issue(s), and taught my wife and I a ton.

I don't post very often, but have to speak up here. If you've got a leak, call The Leak Detectives!

I haven't really used the service. The reason I am giving them a 5-star review is that they provided advice through the phone without any cost, which helped me as well.

I had a leak in my water meter pit and I called them for help. Joseph told me they can help to detect where the leak is but not able to fix it. He also provided some advices and shared his opinions regarding where the leak is possibly located through the phone. Even though they are not the one whoo actually fixed the leak, I really appreciate the help.

My parents received a call from the Water Bureau saying they had a much higher bill than normal, suspecting a water leak. I found Leak Detectives on Yelp, and called. Joseph gave me instructions for me to do my own preliminary check of the problem, and I was able to determine that the leak was not inside the house nor in the irrigation system, leaving a water main leak the likely source. Joseph came out, double-checked my diagnosis, then located the leak: A long-buried water shutoff valve that had rusted. You could see the water pooled in the access cylinder. He charged $350 which I found very reasonable. In addition, he located another shutoff valve for the inside water in the crawl space, unknown to us and very useful for the future. Highest recommendations.

Highly recommend him because of his knowledge and how fast he was to respond. Out of 8 people I called he called back and responded the fastest.

The Leak Detectives came they looked they recommended! These folks are very good at what they do and I need mention Honest. Our newest home [not new] Built in 1973 has a sprinkler system which we didn't really know even existed until after we moved in? A large pond started to form on the lawn and we were told by another landscaper that it was a broken underground pipe and they would be more than happy to fix it for a fee of course? We decided to call in the leak detectives first and see what we were dealing with? As it turned out it was only a couple of faulty sprinkler heads and some of the ones that did work were set to excess or covered by overgrowth grass which caused water to back up? So no underground broken pipes to dig up and replace? These folks are worth the fee to save money on knowing not to order work that is not needed? 5 stars of course*****! ''Thank you to the Leak Detectives.

This is a GREAT local business. Keith at The Leak Detective went OUT OF HIS WAY to help me with an issue I was having that was outside of the scope of what he normally does. Only someone with real concern for others would have helped me the way he did. You can tell from interacting with him that takes his profession seriously and believes in helping others in need. Thank you so much Keith for the help!

I am glad all the reviews above were positive and that 'they' received the help they needed. I was not happy with their service and still waiting for a return call. After the first try and they did not find the leak I called them back and was told the return would be $150/hour after the initial charge when I was told originally they would return with no cost to retry. The water main line to house had a break and since the original cost was $300 + with a $150/hr. charge for the return visit ... I decided to just call someone to put in a new main line, repairing the break and then still having to put in a new main line seems like more waste of money, the $300 + $150/hr. return did not include any repair. The one thing they did do for us is recommend a good plumber to make a repair and/or put in a new line. If your home was built in the 1990's approx. and they used the standard pipe at the time ... if you have a break I would recommend you just put in a new line and save your money as that type of pipe wears out at approx. 25-30 years. Hope this helps.

Came out on a Saturday to find our water main leak - very professional - had a list of qualified plumbers to fix the issue - even gave me a few pointers on how to fix other issues I had - would recommend them to anyone
