The Honest Plumber

This plumber was assigned by a home warranty to replace the garbage disposal. When I read the poor reviews here I was unhappy with the home warranty and calls them to re-assign to another plumber, but they asked me to give ""The Honest Plumber"" a chance because their own data disagreed with the one on Yelp. We did, and the plumber did the job very professionally; they had the replacement garbage disposal already with them to complete the repair without waiting for the replacement unit, and completed the job within minutes. Our experience with this plumber was very much different from the ones described in other reviews.

These guys must only be in business from home warranty jobs. They wanted to replace my water heater which only required an inlet hose repair. I wound up going with my normal plumber and eating the home warranty $75 fee for The Honest Plumber to come out. Very glad that I did. Stay away. You can do better. They aren't the most transparent or clear people to work with, either, and there is a lot of back-and-forth calling that you have to do between you, Honest Plumber's office, the person that comes out to your house, and potentially your home warranty company.

Wow! This place is a joke. It takes a lot for me to make time to write a bad review but I feel like I need to warn the public about this place. I was connected to them through my home warranty company and suffice to say it's going on a month and they STILL haven't submitted the correct paperwork to the home warranty company so that I could get my leak fixed.

On top of that when they visited my home, they tracked dirt and mud all over my home. Didn't think to bring boot coveralls and left the work partially finished unknowingly so we ended up have a drain line left open and 3 days worth of dishwashing water under our kitchen sink!

For the sake of their unknowing future customers I hope that they will find the time and resources to rethink how they conduct business and try to improve.

Honest plumber??? More like Lazy plumber... called my home warranty and they reached out to Lazy plumber to have my leak/stoppage looked at. I wasn't home but my mom was home. He looked at it and said this would be covered under my home warranty contract. He said that I needed to change the pipe from 1.25inch to 2.00 inch to fix this issue. I said let me think about it. I wish I was there cus then I could have kinda had him at least snake it. He didn't even bother to do that. My friend came over, snaked it and fixed the issue. I eventually changed the attached pipe to 2inch but plumber wanted to changed pipes (on sewage line too) for $650. GTFO!

Is there a NO star anywhere?
First of all the ladies who answer the calls are very rude. They said they made several call to both numbers provided to say they were on their way, and i only had one missed call on One phone. Then the lady explained the Plumber was BANGING on my door( why would anyone do that!?) and he waited for TEN minutes. And then she just called it off and told the Plumber to leave.
Aside of that every time i was on the phone with her she had me speaking and then would say hold on and put me on hold for about 15 seconds. Thats was literally all the time i was on the phone with her.

I also submitted a claim through my home warranty company and an appointment was set up the next day by the Honest Plumber. Someone came out to check what was going on with the leaking faucet and the garbage disposal. When he had checked it all out - and yes - he did take the time to check it out - he informed me that they needed to order the garbage disposal and the faucet that I wanted. (I did not want the one that came with the warranty).

Once the parts were in, a new appointment was set up and today two people came out to work in the kitchen. They were kind, very clean, very responsive and super efficient. I have a great new faucet and my garbage disposal is better than the one I had. So absolutely no complaints about The Honest Plumber. Yes the office was super busy but I didn't expect anything else. I'm happy with their service and would definitely use them again.

BEWARE! Unfortunately, they should really be called the DIShonest Plumber. We were assigned them through our home warranty. The job was to change 2 leaking water valves for our washer. The first guy came out and confirmed that the washer valves needed to be replaced. He couldn't shut off the main water shut-off valve because of corrosion so we had to reschedule to get the HOA to turn off our water. After our main water valve was replaced through our HOA we had the Honest Plumber come back. It was a different guy and he had not brought the correct tools to change the valve. We were quite upset because it was in our order and confirmed with the original plumber. He said that he would come back the next day. My husband called the next morning to confirm the time he would be arriving, but the operator said that the plumber had closed the case stating that the valves were NOT leaking. My husband and I could not comprehend why he would lie. The operator offered to reschedule, but by this time we said pass.

Called the honest plumber last Friday night and had a plumber at my door in 1 hour. The plumber put boot covers on his boots and fix my leak in my bath room in a timely manner and the price was fair will be doing business with them again...thanks guys

Where is 'zero' star ? As all reviews have consistently said : Dishonest OR lazy, OR unskilled OR out their to make a quick buck .. YOUR MONEY. Yes CHEATS !!

DO NOT agree to these guys if Warranty company send them (I doubt anyone will pick them from Yelp directly !) Like others , our warranty company sent them our way to clean stoppage in the laundry drain. Scheduling was good and easy.
The guy tested the drain and agreed it was really blocked. He snaked it with a snake that I would use for a shower drain and not for something like the laundry drain. Anyhow after cleaning, he declared that it's not fixed , and he has to call the warranty company to approve cleaning from the roof.
Please be careful : Whenever your plumber / rooter says this , they are trying to make money: they know warranty companies don't cover this kind of clean out and are about to give you a quote for few hundred $$$.

Of course the warranty company didn't cover it. They wanted me to give them $300 to clean this out. I asked why he cannot try the clean out on the side of the house (that is especially there for laundry). He didn't want to do it. They said something like 'that won't work'!!!

I called the warranty company and asked for a second opinion. A tech from Pennington Plumbing came in 2 days, went to the side clean out and did a great job cleaning the stoppage. He was amazing !! Honest plumbing guy ... not so. Nada. Yelp doesn't allow videos else I have a video that shows how close the clean out was had he wanted to do the work the right way. It's 5 ft away on the outside.

They are a joke.

As soon as a woman picked up the call, she said HOLD, and just put you on hold forever, until the call ended by itself. I called them three times over different times during the day and got the same result...
